but i do understand why most people simply respond with a simple

"thank you"

the written word is very powerful and can cut like a knife

even

when you don't want it to

the thing i do not like about comments is that there are only so many words that you can use and often 

(as is frequent in the English language)

those words can have multiple meanings and often be taken out of context

recently

i kinda upset a friend of mine with a response to a comment that friend made

of course i had no idea

what that person was talking about

so 

i did what i do best

and

i pestered the shit out of that person

until they told me what i had said

and guess what

yea

the English language failed me again

see

the beauty of face to face talking is that we not only can speak

but

we have a complete series of body movements

(or body language)

that accentuates and embellishes the conversation

and if that fails

we are there

right there

to explain ourselves

unfortunately here

unless we are in private message at the same time

we do not get that chance

so 

bottom line

when you make a comment

be sure to explain your self well

and 

when you respond

be sure to explain yourself well

or else fall back to the old faithful
