Chapter 34 Hope
"How much further?" Garcia asked as she trailed closely behind Prentiss, twisting her hands together as she went.
"Well, when I found out where we're going I'll let you know." Prentiss smiled back, patting Garcia's shoulder reassuringly.
"Why do you think whoever dropped this paper just left it there? Is there a possibility that they didn't realize they dropped it?"
Prentiss frowned and shook her head. "Unfortunately, I doubt they didn't know and just happened to drop it outside the room we were in. It doesn't make any sense. Reid is the only one of us that can read this. Why leave it for us?"
Garcia shrugged. "Well it would aggravate both of you."
"What?" Prentiss glanced back.
"It would aggravate you because you couldn't figure it out and it would aggravate Reid because it was given to someone else to figure out instead of him." Garcia stared back at Prentiss' shocked face and frowned. "Sorry. Never mind."
"N-no! That could be it. If the object of separating us was to maybe make us scared or agitated, it makes since."
"But is that the reason we were separated?" Garcia asked, walking closer to the dark haired agent.
"I don't know, but what I do know is that we need to find the others and fast."
"Do you think they're okay? Safe, I mean."
Prentiss stopped once again and turned to face Garcia, a look of desperation spreading across her facial features. "I don't know. I hope so."
