Meghan felt blindly along the wall towards the flashing yellow light. She stumbled over something on the ground, cursing under her breath as she regained her footing and continued forward.

She reached the light within seconds and reached up to flip the switch under it, instantly illuminating the room. Meghan turned quickly around and spotted the door on the other side of the room through the darkness. As soon as she took another step forward, the other half of the room lit up as well.

She kicked something on the floor once again, and gasped as it hissed back at her. She glanced down slowly, finally noticing her company. Snakes of all sizes lined the floor in the middle of the room. Meghan gasped and began hyperventilating as she stumbled back, stepping on a large King snake.

It reacting, locking its jaw around her ankle. She shook it off as a scream ripped from her throat. Sweat and tears ran down her face, mixing together on her cheeks. She limped across the room, carefully stepping over the serpents, freezing in place as she noticed the Python slithering up the door and around the door handle.

She began to pant heavily again before scrapping her hands over her face. Her fingers slid into her hair, tugging hard, as she squeezed her eyes shut and let out a shriek.

JJ and Reid froze in place as an ear splitting scream rang out. "That sounded like-" but before JJ could finish her sentence Reid had dashed down the hall.

"Spencer! Spence!" She cried as she ran after him at full speed. "Stop! It could be a trap! Reid!"

He ran into the darkness without any hesitation, turning right down another hall as an identical scream echoed off the walls. He threw himself at a solid brown door about halfway down the hall, pressing his ear to it.

His eyes widened as he heard whimpers coming from the other side. Slowly, he gripped the door knob and turned it gently before throwing the door open.

Meghan gasped and collapsed into Reids arm as soon as he came into her line of sight, sobbing harshly.

"Shh. It's okay." He whispered as he pulled her away from the room, sliding down the wall across from it. Meghan gripped his shirt for dear life, whispering thank you over and over again, ignoring his attempts at getting her to calm down.

"Meghan!" JJ exclaimed, dropping to her knees in front of the young girl. "Are you alright? What was-"

"Snakes." Reid cut her off. "A lot of snakes."

JJ shivered, rubbing her hand up and down Meghan's back as she cried, lighter now than before.

Reid glanced at JJ, meeting her eyes briefly. "We have to find everyone else."
