You're not him
Frankie
"Drew, you should just go," I said, fearing what could come from this.
I knew he wouldn't listen, but I had to try.
"I'll leave when you come with me," he answered, staring sternly at my father.
"She's not going anyway," my father interrupted, digging his nails into my wrist causing me to whimper. "Don't bother trying anything unless you want to end up dead." my father threatened.
"No, I won't because I already alerted the police," Drew smirked, presenting his phone towards us with the phone call.
My father tightened his grip even harder and dragged my body upward before banging it against the car. "How dare you test me," He dashed towards Drew, yanking his arm back and slammed it across his face. Drew tumbled to the ground and my father jumped on top of him. Continuously smacking his fist against his face, causing blood to gush out.
My body was most likely forming a bruise later but I had other things on my mind. I rushed towards his phone that fell from his hold and shouted. "I need help! "
"Where are you located? " the operator on the other line responded.
"Starbucks at Jade Boulevard," I accidently shouted. "Please hurry!" I said, dropping the phone on the floor. I glanced over back at Drew getting plundered by my father and hoist myself up.
I used all the strength I had to drag my father off from him but he wasn't budging. "Dad please stop hurting him!"
My father brought a fist to the Drew's face, fracturing his nose. Drew tried using his arms to block the punches continuously coming from my father. Drew balled his fist colliding with my father's cheekbone, flaying his neck upward like a willow caught in the wind.
"Dad leave him alone," I shouted, cranking my hand back and smacking him across the face. His hand reached to rub his cheek than turned into a fist in seconds.
"You're going to regret that," he sneered, grabbing onto my shoulder and getting ready to smack me.
"Get your hands off her!" the police shouted. "Don't make me take out my gun."
My father groaned, slowly removing his hands off of me and raised them in the air. He crossed them behind his head and started walking backwards towards the police. The female police officer grabbed his hand and dragged them down. She pulled the handcuff from her belt and place them on his hands.
Along with the police officers was a group of EMT and they rushed over to help Drew who was moaning on the ground. Another police officer strolled towards my direction with a notepad in his hand.
"Can you inform us about the situation?" the officer asked.
"For weeks my father has been abusing my brother and I. He made me meet up with my boyfriend and forced me to end our relationship so no one would suspect him. My boyfriend didn't believe any of it and came looking for me and saw my father slap me," I explained as he wrote everything down.
"Okay, thank you I know it must have been hard to talk about. We going to try to build a case against your father but for now you will have to be placed in another household," he clarified.
Is the torture really over? I'm not sure of anyone who could take care of me. My mother is off in God knows where and I don't want to move away from Imogen. Maybe I have enough money in the bank to buy myself my own apartment. But what about Parker? He wouldn't be able to live with me.
"Do you know anyone that can take care of you?" He asked, gazing up from his notepad.
"Umm I don't mean to interrupt but my younger sister is her best friend. Is everything okay?" Rebel asked, awkwardly walking closer with a coffee cup in his hand.
"It's just an issue with my Dad. He's been abusing me for weeks and now he's being taken away. I'm not sure who's going to take care of me." I explained, watching Rebel take a sip of his coffee.
"I can take her in. I've been taking care of my sister for years. I have a stable job with a stable income and I'm able to handle another teen," Rebel suggested, facing the officers direction.
"What? Really? You're willing to do that for me," I said, biting my lip. "I'll get a part-time job and help with the bills."
"No, really it's no problem. I'm sure Imogen would be glad to have you living with us. You guys are basically sisters," Rebel smiled.
"Okay, You just have to go sign some paper work for now. There's more the process but that's it for now," the officer said, walking to his car as Rebel followed.
"Of course."
As I watched Rebel walk away, my eyes shifted to Drew and he was sitting on the ambulance. I walked over to because I wanted to thank him for coming to save me. Even though I totally hate it since a girl doesn't need a boy to save her.
"Hi, Drew," I said, leaning against the truck.
"I'm glad you're okay, Frankie," Drew smiled, reaching for my hand.
His left cheek was turning purple and his other hand had to hold a towel against his bleeding nose. Purple welts were scattered around his arms like a disease. The bruise has began as a purple stain above her eyebrow had sunk into the socket itself, and so now it had appearance of a black eye.
"I'm so sorry about all of this. I really appreciate you coming after me," I smiled, sending a squeeze through his palm.
Drew is honestly one of the best, endearing guys that I have came to known. He's making me fall deeper in love with him but where does he stand? Is his feelings for me still nothing but friendship wise. If it wasn't for Stephanie we wouldn't have gotten together in the first place. He's my soulmate but I'm not his.
"I told you I would always be there for you. I knew something was up with your whole denominator changed," he explained.
"I'm glad you followed your gut," I replied, sensing the tension between us.
"Are we really breaking up?" He blurted as a nurse handed him a new towel to squeeze against his nose.
"Yeah, it's for the best. Honestly, we only dated for the baby. It was doomed from the start. I can't keep being with someone when I know he prefers someone else," I sighed, feeling my heart shattering.
"I care about you. I hope you know that," he said, trying to lean forward to touch my face but groaned in the process.
"I do and I care about you too," I said.
"We are going to start heading to the hospital would you like to accompany him?" the nurse asked, helping him into the bed.
"No, umm bye Drew," I said, waving goodbye and started walking to Rebel.
I waited as he continued filling out the papers needed to take me home with him. Eventually he gave me the keys and I was able to rest in the car.
----------
Rebel drove us home in his black truck in complete silence. The police alerted me that an ambulance was sent to my house and were able to recover my brother. He was on the way towards the hospital when we started leaving. I hope nothing too major is wrong with him and that were able to find him someone to live with.
I personally think Parker would be better off in another town or state. This town has so many bad memories for him. A new town would be like a fresh start for him and he hasn't made any friends here.
Rebel walked me to his mother's room which I found quite odd that I was going to sleep in their dead mother's bed. He brought in a fresh new pair of Imogen's clothes for me to change into. He explained when he cashed his next paycheck that we can paint the room and change everything to how I want it.
He left to let me change into fresh everything. Taking a shower was so soothy, to wipe away all the darkness from my body. I can't believe I'm finally free. Imogen's shorts were extremely comfortable it felt like silk sheets. I can't wait until Imogen is free and we can have sleepovers every night.
Suddenly, an intense smell wafted through the room making my stomach grumble. I had to go down and check out what's going on in the kitchen.
"Oh, you're coming down already?" Rebel said, flipping the omelette in his pan.
He had a arpon around him along with a chefs hat. Was he trying to make me smile or something?
"I'm straving, I haven't eaten in days," I said, pulling out the seat from the island.
"An omelet with bacon, a lot of cheese and lettuce because you need your vitamins," he said, casually flipping it perfectly.
"Sounds incredible! I'm straving," I whined, flaring my legs back and forth.
"Well, good because it's ready," he said, handing me the plate with the omelet on it.
-----------
After making Rebel cook me another two omelets I went back to my room and started reading paper planes on my phone. It was an interesting read and I totally expected the ending. To be honest, it felt weird to not be tortured the past few hours.
Everything is so peaceful.
The urge to pee grew annoying and I couldn't hold it any longer. The worst thing is when you're comfortable in bed but have to pee so badly. I dragged my feet down off the bed and groaned with every footstep. Right when I open the door, I was met with Rebel's top-half naked.
"Oh god, I'm sorry," I said, immediately covering my eyes with my palm.
However the dark view wasn't as nice of the view of his tone body that caused my legs to feel like jelly. I only got glismped of it but I already imagined a thousands of scenarios. My face was probably thousands shades of red at the moment.
"No worries," he said, and I couldn't help but peek through my fingers.
He was using another towel to dry his hair with, showcasing his defined bicep. It shouldn't be legal to be this attractive. He glanced towards me, connecting our eyes and causing me to turn around quickly. He laughed and walked past me to his room.
And I definitely enjoyed the back view.
"Oh, do you have anything planned?" he said, turning around looking like God.
"Umm I was thinking about picking up some clothes from my house," I shrugged while scratching the back of my head.
"I'll take you after I get dressed," he said.
"No, it's okay. I'm sure you have other things to do," I answered.
"I want to," Rebel insisted, flashing a smile towards me.
Is he always this flirty?
---------
My house wasn't long distance from Imogen's but Rebel insisted on driving there. He brought a suitcase with him for my usage. My mansion was everyone's dream but for me it's a nightmare to even step in again. Rebel could sense how nervous I was when he parked the car and reached over to hold my hand.
"I can come in with you if you like," Rebel suggested, rubbing circles with his thumb.
"No, it's okay. I'll be okay," I whispered the ending part and took a deep breath before getting out of the car.
I slowly walked passed my gate and felt each step get a little easier knowing someone in the car is supporting me. I tried not to waste too much time and hurriedly to my mother's room. My father had moved everything from my room there's only one place where it could be. Lucikly, my suspicions were right and I stuffed a good amount of clothes in the suitcase. The bag was almost filled so I closed it up and started on my way out.
"Frankie," Rebel rushed over to me and grabbed the suitcase from my grip.
"Rebel, it's fine," I replied.
"You haven't gained any of your nutrition back yet," Rebel said, gently placing the bag in the backseat.
"Well, thank you," I said, hopping into my seat.
"While waiting for you I came across an ad for a carnival twenty minutes from here," Rebel said, starting back his car.
"And?"
"I'm taking you, dummy," Rebel said, knocking me gently on the side of the head.
"Oh, sounds fun," my voice trailed off.
"You deserve to have fun sometimes Frankie," Rebel said, pulling out from the driveway.
-------------
I watched the sunset at the horizon, spreading its largess into a grateful sky. Rich hues of red blended with oranges, purples, and crimson. Rebel nudged my shoulder, interrupting my admiration of the sky. My eyes beamed when I noticed the huge ferris wheel only a couple feet away from us.
Rebel dragged me to the roller-coasters first, forcing me to sit front row for all of them. After about five rides, I begged for some food since my stomach was rumbling loudly making me feel uncomfortable. We settled for funnel cake, popcorn and korean-styled corndog. Rebel played with the powered sugar placing it on my nose and the balls of my cheek. I tried getting him back but my elbow knocked down his soda.
"Oh well that's a waste," I said as Rebel rushed over to grab the soda.
"That ride is next," Rebel said, pointing towards the ride behind us.
The Ferris wheel.
My hand was trembling against the metal bar it was latched onto. Heights weren't always my favorite thing but Rebel seemed happy to be here. He stretched his arms upward and laid his left arm on my shoulders. And almost instantly I felt my nerves calming down just by his touch.
"You're scared of heights aren't you?" Rebel asked, squeezing my shoulder.
"Maybe a little," I nervously giggled.
"Why would you agree to go on?" Rebel said, moving my hair behind my ear.
"You seemed so excited to ride it," I said, staring down at my feet.
If I don't look I can pretend I'm in bed.
"Just hold onto me," Rebel said, pushing my head into his neck.
I inhaled his strawberry scent; he must have worn Imogen's perfume. My heart was thumping through my chest and I wasn't sure if it was because of the heights or Rebel. Why am I suddenly so nervous to be around him? He's just my best friend's super hot older brother. Am I really developing feelings for him this fast?
We kept smiling and walking together out to the parking lot. There were group of people dancing around to the music blasting through the speakers. Rebel pulled me in and spun me out causing me to giggle.
"Thanks for taking me today. I really needed," I said as he was hugging from behind and we moved in sync to the music.
"Anything for you Frankie," he smiled and my stomach felt jitty.
I can't like him.
I won't
Katherine POV
"So Imogen before I let you go. . . I have a game I want to play," I said, twirling my hair with my finger.
"Okay. . . what is it?" she asked, staring at me with a puzzled expression.
"I need you to try this out with me along with," I said, opening the door behind me revealing a brown haired boy leaning against the table while playing a game on his phone. "Him."
Imogen's eyes beamed with joy as she rushed over to hug the familiar boy. She wrapped her arms around her neck causing him to groan because she caused him a life in the game. He placed his phone on the table and hugged her back.
"Wow, you really missed me, Princess," he said, tenderly rubbing her back.
"Of course, Drew, we are friends. By the way what happened to your face?" Imogen asked, whining when she reached to touch his black eye.
"Oh, that. Frankie's father was abusing her and I stepped in to help her," he explained.
"I hate to see how he ended up. Is Frankie okay?" Imogen frantically asked.
"She should be. Rebel offered to be her legal guardian so she's moving in with you," Drew said.
"I hate to interrupt your reunion but I don't really care," I said, moving the strand from my face and clapped my hands. One of my maids came rushing over with two potions I had made a while back and couldn't wait to try it out. "Here, drink this."
I handed them both two glasses of orange colored liquid mixed with juice for better taste. Hopefully, they don't think too deep about and just swallow it. They continued talking and allowed them while making sure they consumed the entire drink.
"Okay since you guys finally finished the drink," I said, snatching the glasses from their hands. "It's time for some Q&A," I cheered.
"Who made you the boss? I'm not answering any of your questions," Imogen huffed, positioning herself on top of the table.
"That's cute. You think you have a choice. Didn't you guys wonder what I gave you or you were too busy catching up?" I said, raising my arched eyebrow.
"Shit. . ." Imogen muttered under her breath.
"Anyways," I grabbed a chair and straddled it. "Drew how deep are your feeling for little Imi over there?"
"I've been in love with her for years but have been too afraid to make a move on her. The moment I thought it was finally our time together Lucas stole her from me," Drew blurt out, tilting his head in confusion. "Why did I say that?"
"Interesting. Imogen, how do you feel about that?" I asked, leaning my arms on the chair.
"Well, it always bothered me how before Lucas entered the picture you didn't care than after Lucas and I starting hanging out you started acting jealous like we were anything," Imogen confessed.
"It isn't easy confessing your feelings for someone," Drew said, turning to Imogen.
All I needed was popcorn and a bottle of henny and everything would have been perfect.
"You dated a bunch of girls before so that shouldn't be anything new," Imogen said, standing up from the table.
Woah, it's getting serious.
"They weren't you, Imi! I never cared about anyone as much as I do for you!" Drew protested, basically handing his heart to the poor girl.
And she was about to crush it.
"This is all pointless! You aren't Lucas and he's the guy I'm falling for not you!" Imogen admitted as her cheeks flushed rosy pink. She covered her mouth possibly regretting the statement that left her lips.
"Didn't have to shove it in my face," Drew said, banging his shoulder against her's as he walked out of the room.
Imogen started fanning herself since she was burning red. She leaned her arms against the table, taking deep breaths.
"Well, that was interesting. I just wished I had some Henny or something," I snickered, dragging the chair back to it's usual place.
"Shut up," Imogen barked, keeping her back facing me.
I placed my hands up in defense and walked out of the room. My craving for Henny was on a high-rise but sadly there wasn't any on my shelves. Note to self --- Buy some Hennessy. I opted for vodka instead which would cure the craving nonetheless. As I walked down to my room, my eyes darted towards the living room. Drew had his face in his hands, roughly pulling on his brown locks.
"Are you okay?" I asked, leaning against the entryway.
"Is that really true? What she said?" Drew glances up, showing his soften sadden expression.
"Yes, the drink was a truth potion. Everything that was spoken in that room was how you both felt at the time," I explained, popping the top of the vodka.
"I'm so stupid," Drew groaned, smacking his head on the couch. "Why did I fall for her. My feelings are messing with everything. I'm supposed to be with Frankie but can't."
I sat down on the empty spot next to him and leaned my head on his shoulder. "I also have recently been betrayed by my soulmate. Why do the Blakes like to toy with our feelings," I said, staring at blank screen. I brought the vodka up to my lips and took a huge gulp of it. The burning sensation felt so satisfying it matched how my heart felt.
"Can I drink some?" Drew asked, moving his hand closer to me.
"Mmm," after taking another gulp, I handed to him.
I tilted my head towards the edge of the couch as I took a long swing of the substance that affected me. We both had taken turns letting us to finishing the bottle quickly. I sighed as the walls became part of a fun house, changing figure in a blink of an eye. My breath was underlying cause of the smell of alcohol that enteredmy nostrils, and my mouth was sore from the amount of alcohol I poured down my throat.
Maybe it was just the alcohol but I felt Drew's lust-filled eye roaming me. He licked his lips while pushing my hair behind my ear making my body feel like electricity. His hand traced down my cheek to my lips causing my body to feel like it was on fire.
"Just do it already," I said.
"Your wish is my command," Drew chuckled, clashing our lips together.
He pressed his body firmly against mine and I shivered. We kept kissing each other hard and I put my hands through his hair slightly tugging it. We broke the kiss for Drew to pull his shirt off and I stared at his toned torso. He climbed on top of me and kissed my entire body causing me to whimper underneath him.
Maybe a little tease. You guys, don't need to see the full scene right lol?
Frankie might possibly have a crush on Rebel.. How do you feel about that? Don't worry Rebel is totally in love with Katherine but she doesn't want anything to do with him...
