Please Don't Do This

                       IMOGEN

Should I start putting songs for you to listen to during the chapter?

"Sweetheart," Kai whined, and I had to force every bone in my body not to punch him in the nose. "Sweetheart!" He whined louder, using his fingers to make curls with my hair.

I swat his hand away and said, "Can you shut up before I give you a black eye."

He rolled his eyes. "Is it the time of your month? You're so bitchy," he grumbled, angrily crossing his arms around his chest.

"First of all, just because I don't want you to talk to me doesn't mean I'm on period. You have to accept the fact that you're extremely annoying and I'm this close to ripping you to shreds," I snapped, curling my hands into a fist.

"Fine, I'll stop talking," he mumbled, turning around facing away from me.

"Thank you! I appreciate it," I smiled, and closed my eyes taking in the silence engulfing the room.

"Why would you want to hurt me? I'm your boyfriend aren't I?" Kai questioned, however he was still facing the other way.

"I thought you said you were going to stop talking?"

"I don't understand why you're fighting with me! We're supposed to be making out with each other," Kai said.

"Wow! I hate to ruin this little conversation between two lovers but I don't really care. We have something to discuss with you, Imogen," Katherine interrupted, and for once in my miserable life I was thankful for her.

Katherine yanked the cell door open and stretched her leg to land a strong kick against Kai's gut. He groaned, clutching his stomach and huddled into a ball. Katherine rushed over, violently grabbing my arm and dragging me outside of the cell.

"Why the fuck you hit me for if you're taking her?"Kai complained while Katherine was locking the cage with her key.

"I was trying to stop you from escaping," Katherine answered.

"I didn't even move!"

"Yeah, but you have a punchable face," Katherine added before leaving him alone in cage with his lonely thoughts.

"You don't understand how much I wanted to beat the shit out of him," I said, following behind Katherine because I had no choice.

"No, I definitely understand," Katherine bluntly responded.

"So why do you need me? I figured I was in time out for what I did to Lucas," I said, wondering what was in store for me.

Katherine left my questions unanswered still gripping onto my wrist as she dragged me down her narrow hallway. Eventually, we ended up in tight square room with the walls replaced with glasses. The entire room was empty only thing accompanying it was lone chair sitting in the middle of space.

After, entering Katherine sealed the metal-door shut with long rectangular latch. I wandered around the room, gliding my fingers against the plain glass. During my stroll around the room, I caught a glimpsed of a group of people huddled together in what appeared to be a soundbooth.

"Do you plan on murdering me in here and have the others watch?" I asked.

"We have reached our last resort," Katherine sternly said, leaning against the metal door. "If this doesn't save you. . .I might just have to kill you."

"You can try but I'm pretty crafty," I smirked, cocking my perfect arched brow basically challenging her.

"Imogen, please make it easier on us and break already," Katherine pleaded.

"Why don't you guys give up and make life a little easier for the both of us," I smirked, using my index finger to tap my cheek like I was thinking of something.

"Bring him in," Katherine said, shifting her gaze to the group watching us from above.

Several moments later, Katherine walked over to the metal door, unlatching the handle that was holding it closed. When the door opened, Rebel pushed in a flustered Drew into the room causing him to tumble into the ground. Before Katherine could lock the door, Drew pathertically attempted to make a run for it but little old Kitty Kat sent him flying.

I couldn't help but release my laughter when seeing his back crashed against the glass wall. Drew's back slid down the door, burying his face in his knees seemingly like he was comprehending everything going on.

"Your big plan is using Drew? Wow, you guys really are desperate aren't you," I snickered, not able to hide my mischievous smile.

"We all want what's best for Imi. Please listen to me and help us get your humanity back," he softly spoken, lifting himself from the ground.

"I don't need nor want your help but I'll watch this plan go through and enjoy it when it fails," I said.

Drew walked closer in my direction, stopping only few centimeters away from me. He reached for my hand, clutching it against his heart and rubbing softly with his thumb. This moment would have been cute if I actually cared. He shifted my hand towards his cheek, bring us closer than before.

"Please do it for me," Drew whispered, placing soft kisses against my fingers, palm and leading down to my wrist.

For a second, I caught the glimmer in his jade colored eyes before coming back to my sense. Instantaneously, I snatched my hand away in disgust and shoved him away leaving space for me to breathe.

"Well, I'm going to enjoy this," Katherine smirked, rushing over towards Drew and seizing him by his collared shirt.

Suddenly, Katherine used all her force to hold Drew's body in the air before roughly slamming down on the floor. Drew groaned, trying to lift his aching body from the ground but was met with Katherine's heel sticking in his back. She bent down, swiftly flipping him over and placed her foot right over his neck with her heel only inches away from piercing his neck.

"Drink this or say goodbye to dumbass over here forever!" Katherine yelled, pulling out a small beaker filled with pink colored liquid.

This was their plan? To threathen me with killing Drew like him dying would affect me in any way. Besides Katherine would never go through with it. She already had enough blood on her hands including mine apparently.

"Imogen, please! I'm be-g-gin-g you I don-t wan-t to dii-e," Drew struggled to say as Katherine moved her heel closer to his neck.

"Better drink the potion," Katherine said, chucking towards my direction and I managed to grab it. "I'm done playing nice! Drink the goddamn potion or so help the Gods I will give you something to be sad about."

"You're bluffing," I scoffed.

"Okay, fine. You claim to not care about anyone so prove it," Katherine sternly said, stabbing her heel into Drew's throating releasing a pool of blood beneath her.

Abruptly, she grabbed his shirt, lifting his oozooing blood and brutally twisting his neck causing a crack to echo in the room. His body descended to the ground landing in his dark crimson blood.

Drew was dead.

Oh, my god! Drew is fucking dead.

How did I allow this to happen. Oh, my god!

Everything happened so fast it took seconds before I comprehended what had occurred in front of me. Katherine smirked, stabbing the knife into his back before walking away from her mess.

My eyes dripped with tears along with my hand clasped across my mouth in utter shock. My walls, the walls that potion helped hold me up, made me strong just to collapse again. The leaking water is only a blessed release, it's one way my body chooses to cope and I guess it's way of communicating.

"O-h m-y," I croaked, collasping down to the ground and crawled my way to Drew's lifeless body.

Slow desolated tears ran from my unblinking eyes and dripped steadily onto his collared shirt which was destroyed with blood. I softly pulled the knife out of his back, feeling my heart shatter at the pain he was in.

The pain I caused him because that's all I'm worth.

"So how about now? Do you feel anything? Anger because I killed your precious friend or are you sad that you caused a mother to lose her son tonight," Katherine ranted, causing more tears to trickle down my cheeks.

He didn't deserve this. Drew had his whole life ahead of him but because of me it was cut short. If only I wasn't so stubborn he would still be breathing. How are we going to explain to his loving mother that her precious son was murdered because of me.

Drew was now a bag of ragged bones left to be buried. How am I supposed to accept this burden?

"Would it make you feel better if I come clean and admit that Drew isn't really dead," Katherine said, searching my eyes for any emotion she evoked in me.

"Oh. . .Drew," I cried, my lips trembled along with my entire body.

I turned his body around, noticing the apparent horror in his eyes moments before his final breath. Suddenly, a part of myself felt better knowing Drew would be waking up again. I clasped my hand over his cold ones, placing a small peak on it before placing it over his heart.

"Are you feeling that weight lifting from your chest? It's called joy because the boy you cared about wasn't dead. That's your emotions, now drink the potion and accept all of them," Katherine claimed.

Maybe it was time to end this journey and return to sanity. I pulled the cork from the beaker, taking a waft of delicious strawberry smell. Katherine was chanted a 'yes, yes,' and I drank the potion having it burn my throat on it's way down. I threw the glass, having it shattered on the floors inches away from us.

Unexpectedly, dozens of emotions evoked through my body causing my mind to turn into a whirlwind. Everything hurt, I felt regret, depressed, and happiness. It's like my mind couldn't settle on one emotion only and were fighting against each other. Everything forced a mirage to occur and instantly I regretted drinking the potion.

To release the impending anger, I flung the knife which was once in Drew's back towards Katherine landing it in her gut. She whined, losing her balance and falling to the ground. Rebel shouted her name, rushing down towards the metal door but unable to enter the room and help his girlfriend.

"What the hell, Imogen!" Rebel shouted loudly. "Katherine is trying to help you so why are you hurting her?"

"Shut up! I shouldn't have listened! Why did I take that stupid potion? Why am I feeling like this?" I cried, struggling to breathe through my stuffy nose.

"Imogen, let me-,"

"Shut up! Okay!" I hoisted myself up. "I can't believe I killed that lady at the diner and Oh my gosh the maid. I can't fucking believe I did this," I sobbed, darting to the other side of the room and slamming my fist into the glass walls. "All the things I've said to Lucas and Drew even Rebel how could I be so horrible? Why did you give me that potion? Why did you want to ruin the little happiness I had left!"

My punches were endlessly, bruising my knuckles with every hit I landed on the wall. Eventually, blood was trickling down my fingers but not even the pain stopped the emotional pain I was in. I thought with every blow the pain would diminish inside me but instead it kept growing.

They broke me.

"Imogen listen to me!" Lucas shouted through the glass, his eyes filled with concern staring down at me. "The emotions are overwhelming you. You have to pick one emotion and focus all your energy on it. Okay, latch onto whatever makes you feel strong and hold onto that."

"I can't," I sobbed, my eyes shifting at different areas in the room trying to settle on one thought.

"Find that one thing that makes you want to keep living and being strong," Lucas said, his hands pressed against the glass like he was wanting to reach for mine.

Fine the one thing that makes you want to keep living. Rebel. I treated him so badly the past few days I wouldn't be surprised if he wouldn't want to speak to me again. However, he's the only person I care the most about in the world. He was my only remaining family and I planned to keep it that way.

My mind was like tornado, causing destruction everywhere it went. I channeled all my energy into the memory of Rebel's and I official dinner together as a family. He attempted to make us rice and beans but burned the rice. I still ate it not wanting to hurt his feelings but even he didn't like the taste of it. By the end of the night we opted for takeout instead.

I stared into Lucas's soothing blue sky eyes, taking deep breaths to keep myself from losing it. "Good job, keep breathing," Lucas said, the concern still not leaving his gaze.

I felt a stinging in my nose and my throat tightened. Finally the tears split over and flowed down my face like a river escaping a dam. My cries were more like screams displaying how much pain my entire heart was in. I collapsed to my knees and everything inside me shut down.

"Are you going to be okay?" Lucas asked.

"No, I'm not okay. . .But one day I will," I sighed, finally having the tears stop pouring from my eyes like faucets.

"Mmmm," I heard someone groaned and shifted my gaze towards Drew.

His finger was twitching, and it appeared like his chest was rising up and down. He lifted his hand over to rub his eyes adjusting to the light before scanning the room around him. His forest moss colored eyes filled with sorrow met with mine.

"My neck fucking hurts," Drew groaned, twisting his neck trying to ease the sore muscles.

"I would be concerned if it didn't," Katherine commented, panting since the removal of knife left her breathless.

"I'm so glad you're okay, Drew," I said, rushing over and engulfed him into a tight hug. If it wasn't for the break down I had a few seconds ago I would have cried again all over Drew's shoulders. His powerful scent of winter breeze colonge floated into my nose helping me feel consoled.

"Oh, hey Princess. I'm enjoying this hug but my whole body still hurts," Drew said as I pulled away from him.

"I'm sorry not only for holding you tight but for all the things I said to you. I didn't mean any of it," I explained, hoping he would forgive me.

"It's fine, Princess. You still own my heart," he smiled, playfully squeezing the apple of my cheeks which were raised because I was smiling.

My eyes drifted over to Katherine who was struggling over to the door and managed to undo the latch allowing the others to enter. Rebel rushed over to his bleeding girlfriend, carrying a towel in his hand ready to take care of her. Frankie sprinted towards Drew and I, kneeling down to check on Drew's condition.

Finally, there was Lucas, slowly hesitatingly walking in but stopped only inches away from the door. Frankie nudged my shoulder and said, "I think you should take to him, Imi." I nodded and hoisted up walking over to meet Lucas halfway.

"Hi, Lucas," I muttered, keeping my eyes focused on my hands interlock with one another.

"Hi," he answered, tapping his foot on the ground.

He always does that when he's nervous.

"Lucas, I don't know how to start this but I'm so super duper sorry for this past week. I'm filled with regret and mostly because I hurt you. I never wanted to do that," I said, my heart beating so fast against my chest making me fear it would burst.

"I know it wasn't the real you. . . but that doesn't mean you didn't hurt me. I can get past all those things you did because you were under the influence but there something I can't just let go," he lamented, shoving his hands into his pocket.

"What? Was it when I kissed Kai?" I asked and he shook his head. "If it wasn't Kai than what?"

"I'm starting to question whether we rushed into this relationship. I heard about your crush on Drew before I arrived here and you never had time to close that chapter. Maybe we should take a break while you figure out what you're feeling," Lucas sniffed, this time he was ignoring my gaze like if he looked at me he would regret his decision.

"I don't need time. I already know how I feel and I want to be with you," I said, reaching over to grab his hand but backed away.

"Didn't look like that when you were crying over, Drew," Lucas snapped.

"He's my friend what did you expect? Of course I felt guilty," I defended.

"Are you sure you felt guilty because you lost a friend or because you lost someone you love?" Lucas asked, his tearful sapphire colored eyes boring into mine.

"Are you really asking me this? I already told you I only want to be with you," I harshly responded.

"I want a break," he said.

My heart broke in thousands pieces however I still held a shield in front of myself. I wanted to act like I would be okay without even though I needed him the most right now.

"Please, Lucas," I whispered.

"I'm sorry, Imogen," he muttered, turning away before I could say another word.

A wave of helpless loneliness washed through and I bursted into tears. My eyes were burning with tears. It was the most desolate emotion I'd ever felt, I felt like half of me had been ripped away. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder only to turn around and meet face to face with my brother.

"You need a hug?" He asked, having his arms wide open. Immediately, I fell into his arms crying my heart out until I couldn't anymore.

SOOOOO Who's sad that Lucas and Imogen broke up? I know I am :( ! But I bet the Drew and Imogen shippers are hella happy. I hope you enjoy the chapter I appreciate your comments and votes!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!
