Fix her

Imogen

"So Kai, we should keep walking and maybe find a place to stay," I insisted, grabbing his hand before he could deny.

I knew if I stayed any longer one of them would eventually come over and try to take me home. And try to fix the mess Katherine caused, even though I think everything is fine. They would probably send Rebel over to speak to me since Lucas is basically in tears and Drew would beat Kai's ass.

"Sure, sweetheart, maybe we can find your next victim," he joked, sending my hand a squeeze.

"Yeah, can you be any louder?" I stared at him, rolling my eyes at his stupidity. Finally, a hotel appeared which seemed to at least be four stars. Honestly, as long as it has a bed we will survive.

We entered the hotel, feeling the AC hitting us perfectly, stopping us from sweating. The floor was tilted in fine marble, which made every step echo. A chandelier made rainbow colors dance across the luxurious lobby. Embroidered silk sofas surrounded a large, flat screen tv. The twin doors that led into the lobby were a pristine white with golden handles. The desk was made of amber-colored wood with green granite top.

There was only one staff member, standing behind the desk with smile plastered on his face. "Would you like to check in?" he asked, the creepy smile never leaving his face.

"Yes, please,"  I answered, tapping my fingers against the granite desk waiting for the worker.

"Sure, one second," he answered, rapidly typing against his keyboard and clicking on several things before glancing up at us. "We have two rooms available. One with double bed and another with a single."

"We will take the single bed," Kai answered before I could.

How dare he only get one room! Isn't tired spending the whole morning with me? I know, I am!

I can't say I'm surprised. He's probably planning to jump my bones while I'm sleeping. I reached in my dress pocket for the wad of money but kai beat me to it. He handed his credit card to the annoying looking man and he swiped it receiving approval. While Kai was signing the receipt the man handed me the keys for our room.

"Let's take the stairs," Kai suggested, pointing at the door leading to them.

"Really? Didn't we just run twenty freaking miles!" I scoffed, rolling my eyes and proceeded to the door.

Our room was on the highest level but luckily the hotel didn't have over twelve levels. The halls were decorated with crimson-colored rug mixed with brown design on them. Kai walked ahead of me figuring how to read the signs to know where our hotel resided in. Eventually, I grown tired of his stupidity and figured it out on my own.

We were met with two double white doors leading inside to our room. Maybe I read the sign wrong there's no way this could be our room. Our room was huge and didn't look like the hotel room I was expecting more like a grande suite. The bed was king-sized with pure white, Egyptian cotton sheets. I got to remember not to drink in the bed.

We had our own desk, a thirty-six-inch TV with video and DVD, a sprawling leather sofa, and on the other side of the floor-to-ceiling was our own private terrace. Thank god, Kai payed for it since I only had one thousand in cash. Oh lord, our bathroom! As well as a power shower, there was a bath big enough for baseball team, and a Jacuzzi.

"Wow! How much was this?" I asked, grabbing open the gift basket filled with different brands of champagne.

"Don't worry, sweetheart it was worth every penny," he smirked, flipping his card up in the air only to catch it several seconds later.

"Whatever," I sneered, popping the cork of the champagne bottle causing it to burst and spilling onto the marble floor.

"You can take the bed and I'll chill on the couch," Kai said, chucking himself onto the couch.

"No, the bed is big enough for the both of us," I said, taking a huge gulp of the champagne plaguing my throat.

"I'll keep you warm, sweetheart," he smirked, sending a dreadful wink in my direction.

"On second thought. . . The couch is the perfect place for you," I smirked, watching his smirk leaving his lips and turning upward. "On another issue the maid would be the perfect victim."

"That is perfect," he said, playing word search game on his phone. "But we can't kill her here or will would be the first suspects."

"Mmm that's a good point! Maybe we can catch her in someone else's room and kill her there? Obvioulsy we have to hide the evidence," I pointed out.

"We have to make sure none of our DNA is left over anywhere in that room," Kai said, pointing out the obvious.

"Yeah, I get it now go get the key! I feel death gulfing me up already," I shivered at the image of my face hours earlier.

"Okay? How do I steal a key?" Kai asked, cocking his eyebrow staring intently in my eyes.

"It's called I distract the creepy looking man long enough for you to steal the key," I irritated said. "Just give me five minutes than come down."

He nodded in approval and I placed the champagne bottle down before walking out the room. This time I took the elevator to waste less time and get this over with. Kai better not mess this up or he's being the next victim. The elevator dinged meaning I arrived to my appointed floor. The man was coming his hair in the mirror while making weird faces like he was practicing for a selfie. Luckily the other boy's shift ended and a cuter younger one appeared.

I fixed my crinkled dress and turned on my charm. By flipping my hair off my shoulders like boy-obsessed school girl. I so got this.

"Hey! I need your help," I seductively bit my lip, twirling my hair with my finger.

"S-uu-re," he nervously said, knocking the mirror down to the ground and the air was rent by the sound of the breaking glass.

I went on my tippy toes, glacing over the counter to see the mess he made. "Oh no," I pouted, sticking my bottom lip out.

The boy face redden as he noticed how close we were together. His breathing was ragged and his poor hands were shaking like scared child. Has he never talked to an attractive girl before?  He brushed his shaking hand through his hair messing up the comb over he had just done.

"Don't worry about that. I'll clean it later," he shrugged his shoulder releasing a nervous laughter.

"Okay, cutie," I said, reaching over to softly stroke his cheek.

He practically melted in my hand.

"Come upstairs with me," I said.

He tilted his head, seemingly like he was hesitating and said, "Ahh. . .Sure."

"Follow me," I said, using my pointer finger to gesture for me to come over.

He followed behind and I made sure to sway my hips while walking to the elevator. I quickly took a peek noticing him checking out my body and I don't blame him. While waiting for the elevator to arrive I played with his hairs and laughed at his ridiculous jokes. When it opened Kai came out sending a glare towards my direction but I tried playing it off.

I grabbed the boy by his tie and dragged him into the elevator with me. After I playfully whispered in his ear, I pressed the button leading to my suite. The boy bravely placed his hand on my waist and I wished I was able to tear it from his limb.

"You didn't even bother to say your name," he said.

"Well if it's really that important my name is Serena," I smiled, leaning my body closer to his and felt his body tense around mine.

"Why do you need me to go to your room?" he asked, trying to regulate his breathing and probably keeping himself from thinking dirty thoughts.

"My keys weren't working. I was thinking a cute, strong boy like you could help me," I flirtatiously said, groping his child-sized muscles.

"I think I can do that," he answered, nervously tapping his foot on the ground.

Finally, years past and the elevator slid open bringing us to my level. He latched onto my hand, grabbing the keys from my other hand and walked down the hallway. I hope he noticed I didn't tell him where my room was. Either way, I allowed him to lead the way not wanting to disturb him.

"Oh, where's your room?" He asked, turning around boring into my chocolate eyes.

"Room 215," I replied with a cheeky smile.

"Got it," he replied, continuing to drag me down the hallway leading to my double doors. "You got this room all to yourself?" he cocked his eyebrow at me.

"Yeah, my brother is supposed to visit me but he's late," I said, hoping my lie was convincing.

"So we can have some fun before he comes?" he asked, eyeing my body making my stomach churn.

"Calm down there," I said, pushing his chest lightly. "At least take me on a date first."

"Oh, so you want to continue seeing if this works out," he gestured between both of us.

"Ahh..."

"Imogen!"

My savior.

"Hi, big brother," I smiled, forcing myself into hugging him.

"Don't worry I can take care of her from here," Kai said, grabbing the key from his grip.

"Didn't we see you downstairs?" he asked, furrowing his brows in confusion.

Shit.

"No, I would have noticed if we saw my brother silly," I joked, lightly smacking his shoulder.

"Okay. . . Well thank you for wasting my time," he scoffed, slamming his shoulder against mine.

He's so lucky I already planned to murder the maid but he's next on my list.

"Oh no go cry to your mommy," I bickered, sticking my tongue out but he didn't notice.

I waited until he was out of ear shot before asking, "Did you get it?"

Kai glanced back than pulled the pair of keys from his pocket, giving them a little shake. "Of course, I did sweetheart."

"Perfect!" I beamed, grabbing the keys from his hold.

Before I walked down the hall, my arm was being tugged on. "What?" Irritation coated my words.

"Don't ever flirt with any boy when we have our unscared thing going on here," Kai grumbled, pulling me into his hard-define chest. Softly placing a kiss on my head causing my face to scrunch up.

"You're an idiot! If you keep trying to tell me what to do you're going to be the one needing to be buried," I threatened, pushing him off of me.

Kai ignored my commented and led the way to the different room with utter silence. Finally, something I can't complain about. He forcibly grabbed the keys from my hand and stuffed it into the keyhole. Maybe my comment did more damage than I thought but at least he shut the fuck up!

"You want me to call maid service?" he asked, swinging the door opening and allowing it to slam against the wall.

"Yes, please," I cooed, trying to appeal to him.

He continued ignoring me, walking over to the phone and dialed for service. There was a mirror right on wall perfect to take pictures of your outfits. But I was appalled at the sight of my aging skin. The wrinkles and folds of my skin were now so pronounced it was hard to tell how young I was. I brushed my fingers through my hair pulling bits of it out.

What is up with this?

"Sweetheart, you look beautiful stop tearing yourself down," Kai said, appearing behind me in the mirror.

"Is she coming up?" I asked, batting my eyelashes.

"Yeah, should be a few minutes," he said, whipping my hand behind my ear.

"Okay, let's get all situated," I said, searching around the room for a pair of gloves eventually finding them under the sink. "We have to disinfected these areas and the phone."

I handed Kai a pair and forced the pair down my ragged rundown skin. Suddenly, there was knock on the door and Kai rushed over to open it. The older lady was carrying a basket full of cleaning supplies dress in maid outift covering every inch of her body. Her white hair curls were pulled into a bun holding by a little pin.

"What did you need?" she softly asked, glancing down at her watch.

"He spilled fruit punch all over the white sheets," I explained, sending her a witty smile.

"I'll get that cleaned up for you, right away," she answered, lazily strolling inside and walking to left side where the bedroom was located.

"Thank you so much," I grinned, watching her making into the room as slow as a sloth.

"Go help her," I whispered and Kai obeyed. "I'll be there in a second."

The kitchen had it's own jar filled with different kinds of knives on the edge of the counter. I inspected the selection deciding which one would be best of use for cutting apart skin. Eventually, settling on a butcher knife, I held it carefully pointing down to the ground. Carefully, without making my feet creak I strolled over to the room.

"Where is the mess you guys claimed about? The sheets seem perfectly fine," she stated, turning around and having her body shaken to the core.

Her hands trembled and her eyes watered as she kept walking backward away from us. The maid's breathing was becoming erratic, deep, then shallow. "Miss why do you have a knife in your hand?" she gulped, her whole body waiting to collapse from all the stress.

"Nothing. Just stay clam okay," I assured, gesturing for Kai to commence forward.

"If you put the knife down I'll be ca-," she was cut off by the blanket Kai used to block her from communicating.

He securely tied the blanket around her mouth causing drool to seep out of her mouth. Her screams were muffled against the blanket but she tried fighting back by attacking Kai's private area. Kai groaned in pain, collasping down to the ground allowing the maid to run from her spot. I stopped her by the door, plunging the knife straight into her gut while twirling my fingers.

Kai rushed over grabbing her arms holding them behind her and allowing me to continue stabbing her with the butcher knife. She wailed in horror trying to speak some sense to us but her entire speech was muffed. Laughter bursted from my lips enjoying the pleasant sounds of her pleading. After the seventh stab she started calming down, blood oozooing all around us forming puddles underneath us.

Her force became weaker and she stopped fighting Kai's hold. Her legs began to go weak and her green eyes rolled back finally seeing the light.

"I think she's dead," Kai said, letting her slip from his grip and dropped to the ground.

"Oh, Kai always double check," I advised before penetrating her throat with the blade. "She should be dead now. Let's go wash the evidence from the knives."

Kai nodded, proceeding to follow me into the kitchen. I turned the faucet on and placed the knife under the water to wash away our crimes. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder, alarming me and caused me to raise my knife in defense.

"What are you doing here?" I scoffed, rolling my eyes and lowering my hand.

"I came here to save you from yourself," she said.

"Katherine I don't need any help," I said, dropping the knife back into it's bin.

"Clearly. Why else would you kill someone if it wasn't for that potion," she answered, moving towards the bin and grabbing the knife I recently placed there.

"What potion is she talking about?" Kai muttered, scratching the back of his head, scrunching up the back of his hair.

"The potion was the best thing that ever happened to me! The real me is no longer hidden behind the fragile little girl who lost everything important to her," I confessed, staring intenly into Katherine's eyes.

There was no stopping me anymore. The potion revealed how powerful I can be if feelings aren't involved.

"You haven't lost me," Lucas chimed in, emerging from the back of the room.

"Sadly," I yawned, using my arm to hoist myself on top of the countertop. "Stop being pathetic, Lucas! You should really move on it's embarrassing."

"Yeah, she's with me now," Kai commented, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to his body.

Lucas's calm denominator slightly changed into a tenser one. His sharp jaw was clenched along with his fists but I doubt he would lay one on the boy.

"Imogen, everything will be better once you're back to normal," Katherine said, trying to convince my already made up mind.

"Don't you get it everything is better! I'm sorry your life is so pitiful that you have nothing better to do beside annoy the shit out of me," I groaned.

"The poor maid you just murdered would disagree. Trust me you're going to regret killing her later," Katherine explained, pacing back and worth.

"I probably saved that old lady from her miserable of killing toliets. If I was her I would beg someone to kill me too," I laughed.

"Imi, please come back to us. I need my sister back," Rebel said, his expression showcasing his somber feelings.

"You're right, Rebel," I jumped from the countertop leading on my two feet. "How can you forgive me?"

"Oh, Imi. . ." Rebel said, walking closer to engulf my body into his arms.

Before he could wrap his arms around me, I used my legs to spring me around and grabbed a knife from the holder. The fake tears stopped streaming from my eyes and returned back to their normal state. "Yeah, whatever," I said, jabbing the knife into his abdomen.

"Shit. . . Can't believe I fell for that," Rebel murmured, his body collapsing to the tilted ground.

"What the hell, Imogen!" Katherine yelled, rushing over to my brother's side and checking his regenerating wound.

"Calm down, it's not like he won't heal," I snickered, unable to keep the smile off my lips.

"You know what I have a proposition for you," Katherine said.

"Okay. . . I'm listening," I said, narrowing my eyes towards her direction.

"Come home with us for a week and if you can go a week without hurting anyone than your free to stay like this. We will stop pestering you," Katherine appealed.

"Kat n-" Katherine covered my brother's mouth before he could find his sentence.

"That sounds easy enough. Blondie wants to come too," I said, pointing at Kai who was attentively listening to our whole conversation probably confused.

The only reason I'm keeping Kai around was to use him to do my dirty work. They never said I couldn't have Kai do my killing for me, right? Also it's an extra stab at Lucas's heart which makes my heart content.

"Whatever. Let's go before traffic starts to hit," Katherine said, helping my brother up.

"Kai and I are going to go collect our things," I said, grabbing his arm and dragging him to the elevator.

After pressing the button, the elevator took around thirty seconds before opening and we waited for it to reach our floor.

"So Kai, I'm going to need you to help do the dirty work for me," I said.

"You want me to act like I killed someone? Or doing the killing for you?" He asked, cocking one of his eyebrows.

"Depends on how I'm feeling," I smiled, shrugging my shoulders.

"And what's my reward going to be?" He asked, shifting closer and having his finger trace down my arm.

"What do you want? To be my boyfriend?" I laughed, but stopped soon after noticing his serious expression. "You can't be serious."

"I'm as serious as a bull."

"Fine," I sneered, narrowing my eyes towards the grinning boy.

"Okay, than deal," he said, surprising me by planting a kiss on my lips.

Gladly, it only lasted several seconds since the elevator chimed open. Once this week is over and I'm able to stay the same. I can finally get rid of Kai and travel the world on my own with no worries in the world.

---

"We're ready," I said, clutching onto Kai's hand, our finger interlocking his sweat absorbing in my skin.

Lucas's eyes wandered towards our locked hands but didn't react. Of course, I couldn't let any opportunity slide if I have a chance to hurt him I will.

"You really downgraded. I'm way more attractive than that asshole," Drew commented, slamming his shoulder into Kai's and walking out the double doors.

"Hotness isn't everything but how would you know? You don't even have brains or brawn," I stated with an a radiating smirk on my lips.

"Imogen thinks I'm hotter than you," Kai joined.

"Shut up, Kai! I never said that," I groaned, removing my hand from his.

Katherine and Rebel had finished packing all the bags in the trunk, making sure everything was secure for the long journey home. Since the truck could only fit three of us in the back, I opted to sit on someone's lap. I could have easily chosen Kai's lap but I felt like torturing Lucas.

He was ignoring me the whole ride home, staring at the opposite side. Drew and Kai fell asleep during the ride leaving me bored and my thoughts to wander free. Lucas's leg started violently shaking which he usually did when he was anxious.

"Hey, cutie, are you okay?" I asked, letting my fingers play with his blonde locks.

"Fine," he answered sarcastically, not tearing his eyes from the window.

"Feel free to find a new girlfriend anytime soon," I said, caressing his cheek.

"I'm not giving up on you just yet," he answered, roughly grabbing my hands and pulling them off him.

"Take a hint! I'm not interested in you anymore," I spat, crossing my arms around my chest.

"That's the potion talking not you," he replied.

"I know how I feel stop giving yourself hope," I said, rolling my eyes.

"If you don't care about me anymore than why are you still wearing my necklace," he said, pointing down at his Christmas gift.

My hands wandered towards my neck feeling the familiar cheap pedant he had given me. I pushed my hair to the side and unclipped the necklace from around my neck. Using the button on the side-door, I unrolled the window and released the necklace in the wind.

"That's how much you mean to me."

He sighed but didn't say a word. The silence was creeping around us almost unbearable for me to handle. Why couldn't he be like Drew and react!

"Oh, did I hear something?" I said, placing my ear by his chest. "I think it was your heart-shattering," I burst into laughter.

Still no reaction.
