Come and Find me!

 Frankie

I recently started seeing a therapist since Drew's mother thought I should talk about my family problems with someone. My therapist said it's satisfying to write your thoughts down in a journal. So I decided to give it a shot. I will be the only one reading anyway unless I become famous and they want to publish this book.

Dear Journal

It's been a few months since I have spoken to my parents. After I decided to stay over Drew's house, I realized I have no clothes. Parker texted me to let me know he was okay and that if I need anything he would be there. My brother is the only genuine family I have left and I just hope my parents aren't torturing him.

We could finally know the sex of the baby. I debated if I wanted to know or I wanted it to be a surprise, but my curiosity got the best of me. Our little baby is going to be a girl, Drew suggested Stephanie to be her name. He said that it was his grandmother's name, and he really loved her.  I have been forcing him to read books about becoming a father and I've been doing the same. He's been really supportive and caring lately, sometimes I even think he's in love with me for a moment but I know where his genuine feelings lie. I think I'm starting to get attached to him. But I will blame our baby girl for that.

School. Every time I go back, it feels so unnatural, like I don't belong there anymore. I feel like a lost child in a candy store. Even when I go, I don't pay attention or leave during the day. I try to go on exam days, but it just leads to failing grades. The only time I had to talk to Imogen was during lunch. I don't think she noticed I gained weight, but even if she did, she wouldn't comment on it. She knows I'm sensitive.

"Frankie honey, could you go to the store? I have an oil change appointment to go to," Drew's mother asked softly, knocking at the door.

"Of course," I smiled and watched as she came over to me, handing me the list in her hand.

"I just need these five items," she said showing the list "I appreciate it so much," she flashed a small smile and walked out. I closed my journal with its little lock and left it on the bed. I went to my boxes that were filled with my clothes and picked a random oversize hoodie to wear.

I couldn't help but look at myself in the mirror. I didn't want to; I know it would just make me feel insecure, but it's like my feet automatically move to the mirror. The hoodie covered my belly good enough, but I still noticed it was still there. Drew always said I look like I have gained no weight, but he's I know he's lying to make me feel better.

--------------

I parked my car in the furthest spot I could find. I need to get some exercise in, all I've been doing lately is sleeping. I grabbed a cart that was right outside the store and proceeded to walk in. I looked down at my list, which read "Apple Jacks" and strolled down to the cereal section. I continued roaming around and picking out all the items. I might have gotten a few extra snacks for myself.

I was reading a celebrity magazine while waiting for my turn. When it finally reached my turn, I placed the magazine back where I found it and started taking out my items. While she was scanning the items, I was bagging them.

"When are you expecting?" the lady said with an enormous grin on her face. YEAH, I totally look skinny Drew!

"I have around 4 months left," I admitted, curling my lips up into a smile.

"Good luck! The total is 66.79," she said, and I handed her a hundred-dollar bill. I placed my bags into the cart and collected the change. Before I left, I placed a five-dollar tip in her little bin. She probably needs the money more than I do right now.

!!!!!!!!!!

I struggled to get the key out of my pocket. I always take all the grocery bags at once because it's too much work to go back. I placed some bags down and reached into my pocket for the keys. Once I placed it into the keyhole. I picked up the rest of the bags and went inside.

"Is anyone home?" I said, placing the bags down on the counter. I glanced from the kitchen into the living room and ended up seeing no one. Drew had practice after school, but he should be home by now. I walked up to his room to check if he fell asleep after arriving home. I would if I had to run ten miles.

"Drew are you awake?" I said barging in his room. "Oh my gosh," I rushed down to Drew, seeing his hands tied together. His nose was perfused with blood, which had dripped down all over his shirt. I tried touching him, but he flinched against my touch.

"Frankie you have to get out of here. It's not safe," his hoarse voice spoke.

"I can't just leave you here," I insisted, trying to untie the knot holding his hands together. Whoever did this must have taken lessons because I couldn't even find where the knot started. I felt tears well up in my eyes from the frustration.

"Frankie please leave! She's still here," Drew begged, trying to move his hands from me.

"I said I'm not leaving you here!" I said, almost getting one of the knots.

"Frankie!" Drew yelled, causing my body to tremble against him. I turn my head to see a woman placing a cloth over my mouth. I felt my limbs start to go numb and my vision to become blurry. The last thing I saw was Drew's face in horror.

  Imogen

Lucas did a tremendous gesture to say sorry for acting the way he did when I left his house. Lately, though we have been getting into some minor fights, it's nothing to worry about. All couples fight, right? I can only imagine myself with him and nothing will ever change that. Today, Lucas and I planned to binge as many movies as we can.

I stopped wearing the bracelet after that night. It's kind of refreshing not to have Drew nagging me every day, but a part of me missed it. I rarely would catch him by our lockers, he would usually wait for me but not anymore. The only time we would converse is during class. I found him annoying, but I have grown to like how much he bothered me.

I walked downstairs to see Rebel sleeping on the couch. It was only two-thirty in the afternoon, but he worked till early this morning. His schedule changed constantly, but I preferred it when he's home during the night. I felt safer sleeping, knowing he's here. A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.

"Lucas," I beamed and ran into his open arms. His soft arms engulfed me into his chest. "I missed you," I placed a small kiss on his lips which he reciprocated.

"I miss you too," he said tickling my sides, causing me to squeal.

"I really don't like fighting," I mentioned, as he entered into the house. He unzipped his sweater, hanging up by on the coat rack.

"Neither do I," he said, placing a kiss on my forehead. We sat down on the couch, trying to speak softly to not wake Rebel up. Rebel sleeping down here ruins the make-out session Lucas and I could be doing. At least now we could watch our shows without any distractions.

"How's Frankie?" Lucas asked, twirling my hair with his fingers.

"The last time I saw her was two weeks, but she seemed okay," I said. She's been acting distant lately, and it doesn't settle well with me. I miss speaking with her, her advice, and just us fooling around together.

"I haven't seen Drew either.. Would it be okay if we go visit them?" I asked, staring into his eyes, trying to search for an answer.

"Of course it's fine. I was getting concerned myself," he spoke. "You don't have to be afraid to talk to him. I trust you," he said.

"Oh well, I like it when you're jealous," I teased biting my bottom lip.

"Oh really! Maybe I should act more jealous than," he chuckled.

"Okay, let's go!" We got up from the couch and put our shoes back on. I wrote a note and stuck on Rebel's head so he can't miss it. I grabbed a jacket from my coat hanger since it's chilly outside. I'm happy it hasn't snowed yet, but I also want to build a snowman with Lucas.

-----------------------

Lucas pulled up to Drew's house and parked out front. There was only one car in the driveway, which was Drew's. Lucas decided to wait in the car while I checked on him. I walked down his pathway, which is surrounded by dead grass. Once I reached the door, I softly knocked on it and the door opened on its own.

"That's weird," I spoke, poking only my head to see if anyone was nearby. I slowly walked in, checking around the bottom floor. I grabbed a knife when I went into the kitchen, just in case. I've been almost kidnapped 3 times, I should at least be ready to fight.

"Drew are you here?" I exclaimed. I strolled around the bottom floor with the knife out and ready. I saw no one and started slowly going up the stairs. The upstairs hallway was empty, so I walked to the first room I saw. I opened it and peaked in slowly.

"Oh my gosh DREW," I said running up to his frail body on the floor and dropping the knife.

"Imogen?" His bruised eyes were wide. I used part of my shirt to clean off some blood surrounding his nose. I noticed his hands were tied together, the rope digging deep into his skin, leaving bloody wounds.

"What happened?" I quavered. I reached for the knife, pulling the rope to be able to cut it without hurting him. There was no way I would have been able to break them myself, or maybe I could?

"I don't know," he moaned "I came home from practice and felt a sharp pain at the back of my head when I entered." I moved his head sideways to see dried blood there. "The next thing I remembered was waking up here and Frankie found me but was taken away," worried Drew rubbed his wounded wrist.

Who would want Frankie? She hasn't done anything. Ever since my birthday, the madness started happening. All my loved ones are being targeted because of me, but why? What's so important about it that they need to go to these lengths? Maybe I was better off not having soulmate and vanished into thin air. At least if that happened, no one else would be suffering because of me.

"Why the hell would someone take Frankie?" I wondered, putting my fingers through my hair.

"I don't know but we need to find her," he demanded, grabbing onto my wrist, squeezing his hold on it.

"I wish they left a clue or something," I said, shuffling around the room. I looked at his dresser and saw a note with Imogen on it. Is it my fault that Frankie was taken-?

"I think I found something," I reached up to grab it and unfolded the note.

Drew might not know who I am, but Imogen you will. Don't push me. You're probably wondering what you did to have this happen to you. You will find out soon enough... We can't let you reach your full potential. We will ruin every part of your life, bit by bit, starting with Frankie.

Guess who?
                       Good luck finding us.
                   Rot in hell

"Oh no," I said, running down the stairs, hearing Drew's footsteps behind me. I walked down the pavement to Lucas's car.

"Lucas!" I hand him the note "I think it's the girl."

"The one at the dance," Lucas said, running his fingers through his hair.
