(REWRITE) Chapter 2: Flowey the Flower

"Howdy! You're new here, aren't ya?"

I try not to glare at the small flower. Sure, he's a prick, but he's still innocent little Asriel on the inside. Sighing, I smile at him. "Howdy, Flowey!"

He looks startled for a moment, but quickly composes himself. "Uh, I see there are no need for introductions then." I chuckle and nod. "Well, you must be confused, right? I can teach ya how things work around here!"

I frown at him. "Uh, thanks, but no thanks. I'd rather not get hit by your 'friendliness pellets'." Again, he seems a bit startled. "Oh," he grumbles, finally realizing something, "you're an Undertale fan, aren't you?"

"Ding ding ding! You are correct!" I exclaim. It's honestly kinda fun making him mad. "It's nice to meet you, Asriel," I say, proud of myself. "Don't call me that!" He yells. "I-I'm not that weak little thing anymore!" I sigh, again. "Alright," I say, kneeling down next to him and taking off my backpack. "What are you doing?" Flowey asks, looking at me, puzzled.

I reach in and take out a flower pot and trowel. Flowey's eyes widen. "You're not putting me in that... THING!" He yells angrily. I ignore his protests and set to work, humming small tunes. After a few minutes and quite a bit of struggling, I manage to get him in the flowerpot.

"GET ME OUT! GET ME OUT NOW!" Flowey continues his protests, which I continue to ignore. But now he is starting to get a bit annoying. "Oh. My. Gosh. Would you juST SHUT UP ALREADY?!" I yell, finally fed up with him. He glares at me and then looks away, grumbling under his breath. "That's WAY better, thank you," I smile, zipping up my backpack and picking up the flowerpot.

"Where are we going?" Flowey asks, a bit curious. I laugh. "The Ruins, duh. Where else would we be going? It's not like this doorway leads anywhere else." I shake my head, chuckling. "Honestly, I don't understand why you call everyone else idiots when you're the true idiot."

"I'm NOT an idiot! YOU ARE!" He fusses. I laugh again. "Sure, Flowey, the one who came prepared for almost everything is an idiot. Because that makes a lot of sense."

He grumbles angrily, not thinking of a good comeback. I smile, and finally step into the ruins.
