"S-So you guys aren't dead...." Amatsuki looked at them, a small sense of happiness was bubbling in him.

"Www nope~ sorry for making you guys suffer." Kashitaro said as he gave them a small smile.

"I made this killing game for Soraru," Mafu said as he smiled, "he can act like the protagonist that he wants to be, like in Danganronpa. You even sang the ending song for the anime."

The raven-haired stayed silent. T-This can't be happening. T-There's no way they're alive. I-I saw them die with my own eyes!!

"Y-You're fucking with us!" Urata desperately shouted, "y-you guys aren't alive!"

"But we're here in the flesh." Shima said as he looked at the short brunette, "we just used holograms to make it look like we died."

"After all, Mafu made sure this prank was believable." Nqrse said as the albino grinned.

"And I did a good job~"

"T-This is the sickest prank you've ever done!" Urata shouted, his anger was beginning to rise.

"I know you hate me Urata, for making Sakata die, but he's fine. Right Sakata~?"

"Yep~ I'm alive and well. I was happy that Urata finally confessed to me," the redhead then sheepishly laughed, "though it was only when I was meeting my death."

The short brunette just stared at them, he still didn't believe it.

"B-But you guys are alive now," Lon began to smile, "I-I'm happy."

"Aw~ I missed you Lon~ sorry for scaring you like that." Kuro stated as she smiled.

Eve was silent, looking back and forth between his supposed dead 'friends.' S-Something isn't right.

He then noticed something strange, he narrowed his gaze and widened his eyes once he saw it.

"T-These aren't them..." Eve croaked as he backed a bit from his podium.

"What do you mean?" Mafuneko curiously asked, though the big grin on his face showed the opposite.

"T-They're holograms. T-They're not real!"

The others turned their heads to look at their 'friends,' soon enough they saw parts of their body glitch and become static.

"W-What kind of prank is this?!?" Amatsuki exclaimed as he became scared.

"Aw, you found out," Mafuneko hung his head low as if looking dejected, "but yeah you're right. These are just holograms of your pathetic dead friends."

"Y-You were just playing with our feelings?!?" Lon shouted as the robotic cat laughed.

"Puhuhuhu~ it was fun. Seeing you all become hopeful, not caring that you'd be stuck in this killing game as long as your friends are alive. Oh how lovely~!"

"Who cares if we're fake, aren't you happy to see us again?" The 'albino' said as he smiled at them.

"Even if we keep on dying, you at least know that we'll come back." 'Kuro' cheerfully stated as she giggled, "we can make soo much more memories~"

"Y-You—!" Urata was about to shout at the robotic cat before he felt something wrap around his neck, "e-eh?"

"Don't worry I won't kill you~ at least not yet." Mafuneko laughed, "but this is just to make sure the tanuki remembers to calm down or else it'll breathe its last breath."

"But at least if you die, you can be with me again Urata~" 'Sakata' happily said as he gave the short brunette a loving smile.

Urata's heart would've melted at the smile, had it not been for the fact that that wasn't his Sakata.

"W-Why can't you just stop torturing us?!?" Lon screeched at the black-and-white mascot, who just laughed.

"Puhuhuhu~ there's no point in fighting back. It's useless, no one will hear your screams."

The five of them just had hopeless expressions on their face.

It didn't matter that they found out about the mastermind.

It didn't matter that they figured out that the killing game was a fraud.

No matter what they did they would still end up being tormented and reminded of their friends that have died.

"Puhuhuhu~ now how should this next killing game happen? Oh I know! How about I have Sakata kill Urata this time, wouldn't that be heartbreaking?"

The short brunette just glared at the robotic cat, who was laughing at the despair look in their eyes.

"Or~ how about I have Kashitaro try to kill Amachan, only for poor Kashi to die at the hands of his crush."

The red eyed brunette could only just shut his eyes, as if that would stop the taunts being thrown at him.

"Ah~ what a wonderful sight indeed! This is just what the killing game is about, despair is the only thing needed for a game like this."

"T-There's no way for this to end....." Lon quietly cried out as tears began to leave her eyes.

"W-We're s-stuck here forever....." Eve said as he looked down.

Their small bits of hope, vanished in an instant.

"This was all pointless....." Urata remarked, his eyes glaring at the ground.

"W-We can't beat it.....w-we can't e-end this game....." Amatsuki crouched in a ball, burying his head in his arms as he began to cry.

Soraru could only stare at everything, he felt his emotions begin to fade away. He began to feel hopeless, hollow, void of anything.

Guess this is the end.....

We'll be constantly trapped in this nightmare.

No way of escaping. Reminded of our dead friends, not being able to save them.....

Despair.....

It's all useless now....

We should've just given up.

"Urata!"

A redhead jolted up, wrapping his hands around his neck as if to take off whatever was around it.

He felt nothing on his neck, confusing him.

"E-Eh?"

Sakata looked around, he was laying on a bed. An IV stand was by his side, but it wasn't being used anymore. The redhead pinched himself, wincing at the slight pain.

I-It's not a dream....? B-But I died....I-I felt myself get killed. I-It was too real....

"Sakata!"

The redhead turned his head to look at the direction the voices came from, only to be tackled by the purple-haired and blonde.

"E-Eh?"

"I-I'm so happy y-you're alive. W-We saw your d-d-death, a-and I– w-we just—" Senra couldn't even speak as he and Shima continued to hug the redhead.

"H-How am I alive? I-I– We died.....right?" Sakata asked the two males who let go off the hug.

"Yeah, we're also confused by this." Shima stated, before grabbing the redhead's arm, "come on the others are in the other room."

"T-The others?" Sakata confusingly said as he was dragged by the purple-haired, with the blonde following behind.

Upon entering the room, Sakata saw that everyone, everyone he saw die in front of him, were perfectly okay.

"S-Sakata!" Luz hugged the redhead, who stumbled a bit.

"So you finally woke up." Nqrse said as the redhead blinked his eyes.

"C-Can someone explain.....p-please?"

The redhead then looked at the albino that was mumbling to himself. Sakata freed himself from the light haired male's hug and approached the male.

"Mafu?"

"I-I should've been able to stop it.... W-Why can't I...."

The albino was panicking, he couldn't calm down.

Sakata tapped his shoulder, causing the redhead to jump at the sudden touch.

"E-Eh?!? O-Oh, it's you Sakata," Mafu then hugged the redhead, who was still confused, for a brief second before letting go, "I-I'm sorry for making you kill me... Y-You shouldn't have been caught."

"Well, I was the one that broke the plan." Sakata sheepishly admitted as he nervously laughed.

"Does anyone know why or how we're alive?" Reol asked, her eyes landed on the light haired male before quickly looking away.

Luz avoided looking at her, still feeling guilty at what he did.

"Yeah, like how we all died and then just woke up here." Kradness said as he looked at the albino, "Mafu, you were the first one awake do you know anything?"

"......"

"Hey Mafu, do you—" Araki's voice was cut off as the room began to be filled with static.

They all looked at the big TV screen that turned on.

Right then and there were the five remaining survivors.

But what shocked them the most was that they were also supposedly there.

"W-What....?" Kashitaro said in disbelief as the brown-haired male stared at the screen with wide eyes.

"H-How are we there if...."

"It's not a joke, I'm sorry Urata. I'm sorry for hurting you," the 'albino' on the screen said as his eyes lit up, "I'm sorry for faking my death just so Sakata can die. I know you can't forgive me."

"W-What's happening?" Alfakyun asked as she just simply stared at the screen.

"Yep, yep~ Soraru was a pretty great detective, always rescuing us from death."

"Though he also did a good job at sentencing his friends to death."

Kradness and Reol could only stare in utter disbelief, not believing what they are seeing.

"Let's play this game again, let's work together to end this game."

"M-Mafu?" Luz looked at the albino, who was shaking.

"N-No....s-so that's why.....h-he has total control over....."

"Total control over?" Nqrse was confused at the albino's words.

"What do you mean—" Shima was cut off by the 'albino' on the screen.

He widened his eyes in shock at what he heard.

"But you know, I've been a great mastermind if I do say so myself. I mean I killed Nqrse, framed Shima and then had Sakata kill me just so you guys would believe that I was trying to save us."

"F-Framed?" Senra said as he looked at the albino.

Mafu couldn't look at the purple-haired.

"YOU FRAMED ME FOR MURDER?!?"

"T-That wasn't my intention!!" Mafu desperately shouted as he looked at the distraught purple-haired, "I-I only k-killed Nqrse s-so that I'd get executed!"

Shima could only look at the albino with pained eyes. "I-I ended up dying for something I didn't do...."

"W-Why do you think I tried to help you? I-I didn't want you to die, i-it was suppose to be me during that trial. B-But Mafuneko twisted the truth to suit his need."

"Y-You got Senra killed!!"

"T-That wasn't suppose to happen!!" Mafu felt tears begin to fall in his eyes, "I didn't think Mafuneko would kill Senra just to keep me alive!! I didn't know that he'd break his rules!"

"Y-You're the reason we suffered...." Alfakyun said, the albino waved his hands.

"I-I didn't want this! None of this should've happened!"

"You're the mastermind, why should we trust you anymore?" Kashitaro narrowed his gaze towards the albino.

"P-Please! I-I didn't want this!" Mafu pleaded as the others began to look at the albino with hurtful and pained expressions.

"W-Wait guys, we shouldn't be a-arguing about this!" Sakata tried to calm down the tension, Kuro was also helping him.

"T-This could be what Mafuneko wants, to break the trust and bond between us even after we died."

"How are we suppose to trust the person that brought us to this hell?" Reol said as she crossed her arms.

"I-I admit that I made this virtual reality, b-but not for a killing game! I-I just did it because I wanted all of us to enjoy doing things we couldn't experience in real life." Mafu stated as he looked at them with teary eyes.

"So you're going to say that Mafuneko isn't part of your virtual reality, but he works for you." Shima said as he gave the albino an irritated look.

"I-It's the other way around, h-he made me work with him. O-Or else he'd kill all of us and keep us all in this cycle."

"And we're suppose to believe you?" Nqrse said, he was distraught at the idea of his friend killing him.

"P-Please....." Mafu quietly said as he slowly looked down at the ground in shame. He then began to believe them.

I-It really is my fault....I-I should've just actually died instead of being here.....

The atmosphere around them was tense. They all felt distrustful of each other after everything that happened.

"I still can't believe we all tried to kill each other...." Alfakyun said as the brown-haired male shifted his eyes away.

"Y-You guys promised that you'd end the game for me....I-I trusted you guys...." Sou quietly muttered as the others avoided meeting each other's gaze.

"Yeah, and we thought we could trust each other but look what happened." Shima said as he glared at the albino.

"So much for working together." Kradness mumbled as he looked between Reol and Luz.

They were all silent. Not speaking to one another.

Sakata and Kuro looked at the albino, who just kept mumbling 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry' over and over.

The blonde held his arm as he looked at the crying albino. Senra then shifted his gaze towards the screen, staring at the sight with a sad expression.

"T-There's no way for this to end....."

"W-We're s-stuck here forever....."

"This was all pointless....."

"W-We can't beat it.....w-we can't e-end this game....."

Mafu glanced up at the screen, displaying the world he created that was used against him. He felt all the guilt and shame flood through him.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry sorry. This is all my fault. I should be punished for it.

The robotic cat's laugh caused all of them to snapped their heads and look at the screen.

"Puhuhuhu~ so do you still forgive your friends? Sure you can be mad at that albino freak for creating this place. But it's not his fault that your friends began to feel trigger happy."

Everyone tensed up at the mascot's words. The truth stabbed them in the heart.

It was their fault too.

Their fault for giving in too easily.

Their fault for making the others cry and go through all the pain.

"Well, this was fun and all but I think it's time to start a new killing game," 'Mafu' said as he smiled, "don't worry, this'll only hurt for a bit."

The albino snapped his head, his eyes wide as he heard 'himself' say that. N-No, no, no, no! Mafu immediately ran to another room, confusing the others.

"E-Eh? Mafu?" Sou said as he saw another one of the TV screens turn on.

It showed the albino in a control room, looking around frantically.

"P-Please! I-I need this to work!" Mafu shouted as he tried to use the panels, only to be denied access.

"W-Wait!"

They all looked at the screen that showed the remaining survivors. They widened their eyes in terror and shock.

"Don't worry Lon, it's just to make you guys fall unconscious, then we'll erase your memories and we can start a new game." 'Kuro' cheerfully said as she gave the blonde female a comforting smile.

"The rest of us would've been logged back in as our real selves, but since a certain someone freed us from our unconscious sleep, we can't come back." 'Senra' said as the 'red-haired male' sighed.

"So you'll just have to play this game with our holograms."

"But you guys will never escape your sleep~" 'Luz' cheerfully stated.

"Sorry Urata that you can't hug me anymore." 'Sakata' sheepishly said as he gave the short brunette a small smile.

"Now the time that you've all been waiting for. It's Punishment Time~!"

Everyone in the room froze as they saw collars wrap around their remaining friends' necks.

"L-Lon!"
"A-Amachan!"
"Eve!"
"Urata!"
"Soraru!"

They all shouted as they saw their friends begin to get dragged to their executions. They could see the five of them try to grab, to reach other, but failed.

Sakata ran to where the albino was. He saw Mafu do whatever he can to try to stop the execution.

"P-Please! J-Just...s-stop tormenting them!" Mafu shouted as he banged on the panels, but it didn't do anything.

The albino could only stare at the screen displaying his friends' execution begin to start. He fell to his knees. T-There's no use....I-I can't save them....

Sakata looked around the room, hoping he'd find something to help the albino stop all of this. He felt something in his pocket, taking it out he saw it was a small chip.

The same chip that they had used to stop the cameras to prevent Mafuneko from seeing their plan.

"M-Mafu!" Sakata shouted as he gave threw the chip at the albino.

Mafu looked up fast enough to catch it. He widened his eyes as hope began to form inside him.

The albino quickly placed the chip onto the panels, pushing the button that caused small bits of electricity to escape. The controls and everything began to malfunction.

Soon the screens all turned off, making them unable to see the trial room anymore.

"D-Did we do it....?" Sakata asked the albino, who just stared at the blank screen.

"......I don't know...."

The chains around the five survivors' neck opened, causing them to fall onto the ground. They were holding their necks as a coughing fit attacked them. Their breaths were shaky as they tried to breath again.

"Grrr! How dare that albino freak—!" Mafuneko shouted as he glared at the albino's hologram.

The holograms then all began to glitch and disappear one by one. The robotic cat's red eye glowed even brighter than before as his frustration began to show.

"H-How....did the execution.....stop?" Lon croaked out, her voice a bit hoarse from being constricted.

"M-Mafuneko said something about Mafu..." Eve stated as the red eyed brunette coughed.

"D-Does...t-t...that mean that they're actually....a-alive somewhere?" Amatsuki asked as he looked at the short brunette and raven-haired.

"A-Are you guys okay? M-Mafuneko made yours tighter than ours." Lon asked the two, who slowly nodded their heads.

"T-That bastard really wants us dead," Urata remarked, "j-just a few more seconds and I....would've died from loss of oxygen..."

"I'm...fine...." Soraru said in between his coughing.

"Grr! All the controls are broken!! I should have total control over this virtual world!!" Mafuneko shouted as he became pissed off at each passing second.

"N-Now that he lost control, he's acting just like a bratty child." Amatsuki pointed out as the raven-haired glared at the robotic cat.

"So he'll be unable to defend himself without his machines." Urata said as he weakly got up, his legs still shaking a bit.

"U-Urata—" Eve quickly caught the short brunette who stumbled to his knees.

"W-We lost all our strength to move...." Lon said as she coughed again.

"A-A...At least we're still alive...." The red eyed brunette stated, his eyes shifting to the raven-haired, "w-what should we do?"

"What we should've done from the beginning." Soraru tried to stand up, he managed to do so but his legs were wobbling.

Urata spotted one of the knives that was broken off of his execution. He grabbed it, clenching tightly on it, before looking at the robotic cat.

The short brunette then threw it towards Mafuneko, who barely managed to dodge it.

"Grre! Attacking your headmaster is against the rules!"

"As if the rules even applied." Urata retorted as he stood up, holding onto his injured arm.

"We're done playing by your so-called rules." Lon stated as she looked at the mascot.

Mafuneko began to panic at his lost of control over the game.

"It's time for your punishment, for breaking your own rules and for killing one of us." Amatsuki stated as the black-and-white cat began to sweat.

"W-Wait! M-Mafu's the mastermind so you should kill him."

"Now you want to play the victim?" Soraru stated as he glared at the robotic cat, "you're the one that caused all of this. Turning Mafu's own world against him and throwing all the blame onto him."

"G-Grr!"

Eve then found one of the controls, he grabbed it and pushed the button. A collar wrapped itself around the robotic cat's neck.

Mafuneko became still as he ended up meeting the same demise that he made the others face. All that was left was the broken pieces of the mascot.

Urata walked up to the robotic cat's head, crushing it under his feet.

"You seem satisfied doing that." Soraru stated as the short brunette gave him an annoyed look.

"Like you wouldn't do the same."

"S-So it's finally over." Lon said as she looked around them.

Because of their execution's malfunctions, the trial room and area around them was a complete wreck.

"Yeah....." Eve then looked at them with a smile, "we finally ended this nightmare."

"But how do we leave this place?" Amatsuki asked as the others shrugged.

"A-Are we even sure that there is a way out? We don't know for certain that Mafuneko was telling the truth about this being a world Mafu created." Lon said uncertainly as the raven-haired shook his head.

"I don't think he was lying about that. Our executions ended because someone else tampered with it."

"And the only other person to have control over this place other than Mafuneko is Mafu." Urata stated as the others remembered about that.

"S-So they really are alive somewhere....." Amatsuki didn't know if he wanted the small chance of hope to blossom in him.

"N-Now we just need to—"

They all then began to feel unconscious. Their vision began to get blurry as they fell to their knees.

One by one, they all shut their eyes.

Their vision becoming black.

The raven-haired opened his eyes as he jolted up, he was met face-to-face with the albino.

Mafu's eyes were filled with tears before he hugged the male. Desperately clinging onto him.

"E-Eh?" Soraru said as he tried to process what was happening.

"Y-You're okay...I-I....."

"Urata!"

Sakata tackled the short brunette, who felt himself almost fall off the bed from the sudden force.

"O-Oi!"

Soon Kuro, Kashitaro, and Sou tackled their respectful partner in a hug.

"W-What is happening?" Amatsuki said before hugging the brunette back, holding onto him tightly, "K-Kashi, I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"It's okay." The brunette said as he held onto the male.

"You guys are awake." Senra said as the others entered the room.

"Can someone explain everything." Urata asked, though it sounded more like a demand.

The five then noticed that they had bandages wrapped around them.

"It's a long story." Nqrse said as he looked at the albino, who was still hugging the raven-haired.

"Mind starting from the beginning." Soraru asked as the purple-haired began to tell them everything.

"S-So you guys really did die...." Lon said as the redhead nervously rubbed his arm.

"Even though it was a virtual reality, everything we experienced felt real..."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Mafu kept muttering, "I-I know you guys will never forgive me b-but—"

"D-Despite everything.....I-I can't blame you." Amatsuki admitted as the albino stared at him in shock.

"B-But it's my fault that—!"

"You didn't create Mafuneko, whoever did implanted him into your virtual reality and forced you to play as the mastermind."

"I-It's still my fault....." Mafu looked down at the ground in shame.

"I-It's all in the past now." Kuro said, "w-we're all safe and sound now."

"......I guess...." Shima said as he glanced at the albino, who was still staring at the ground.

"I'm sorry......" Mafu said again.

The raven-haired just hugged him, soothing his hair to calm down the albino.

"So this nightmare it truly over." Araki said as the light purple haired female made a small smile.

"We don't have to worry about whether we'd be killed or not."

"Though.....the killing game brought the worst out of us...." Luz stated as the guilt bubbled into him.

"We'll just have to learn to deal with it....I guess..." Alfakyun said as she looked at the albino, "so what are you going to do about this?"

".......I'll destroy all of this....to make sure that no one finds it." Mafu then shifted his eyes aways from them, "t-then I'll shut myself forever, so you guys can never have to see me again..."

"Y-You don't have to go that far." Sou said as the albino shook his head.

"I deserve death after everything that happened."

"Again, it's not your fault.....entirely," Kashitaro said as he sheepishly laughed, "we're all to blame for giving in."

"Well whatever we do now, let's continue to be friends." Sakata cheerfully said, the short brunette pinched his cheeks.

"O-Ow, Urata~"

"Stop being so cheerful, it's gross."

"Www I missed these interactions." Kradness said as he smiled.

"We can finally smile." Nqrse stated as he looked at them.

They all smiled, all the despair that they had to go through was over.

Soraru hugged the albino, his eyes looking around the room.

Seeing everyone okay and well made him happy.

I tried my best to save them.

Even though things happened, we still managed to live through it and survive.

We finally have the happy ending we deserve.
