Chapter III: Laser Tag?!
(A/N: This chapter will feature special POVs: Leo and Calypso POVs. This is done as a way to make this part a bit easier to write. Enjoy, and please comment your opinions, suggestions, and if you want, your violent reactions.)
CALYPSO'S POV
After school, I got hungry, so I ate at a new restaurant, called "Sally's", which was apparently famous for its blue food. It was run by the mother of my old crush Percy Jackson.
Hmm, I thought. This could be a nice place to have a date.
I then took a taxi to my house, where I was surprised to see Atlas, my dad, the founder of Sky Industries.
"Uh, hi.......dad."
"I'm just here to get some old files. Talk to me when I'm not busy."
"Good luck then, dad."
Sometimes I wonder why dad's always like that. He's so busy, he might as well be carrying the sky. When dad left, I immediately went to my room, laid down on my bed, switched on my phone, and saw that I had one unread text.
-PHONE MESSAGES (Normal text for Calypso, Italics for Leo)-
Hey, Cinnamon Princess, I've got an idea.
What is it, Flame Boy?
I think we should go and play laser tag tomorrow. With Reyna and Nico. It's Saturday tomorrow, after all.
Laser tag?!
Yup. There's a Laser Tag arena in the mall near where I live. I'll pick you up at five in the afternoon.
Oh. That might seem like a good idea. I wanna win against that Nico guy.
Wait until you see whose side you'll be on.
Wait, what?
-no reply-
I let my phone "sleep", waiting for the "new message" tone to play. I waited for an hour, but still no reply. I'll just ask Leo tomorrow, I thought, and went to sleep.
LEO'S POV
-THE NEXT DAY-
I owe Annabeth one.
She's the one who helped me in making this plan. I picked up Calypso first, then Reyna, then Nico. We then got to the mall, I payed for all of us, and we waited for our turn. I smiled and silently thanked Annabeth for her advice. She's actually the one who told me about that "warrior hand shake" thing.
She told me to make Calypso and Nico teammates so they would, in theory, learn to respect each other.
When it was our turn, I teamed up with Reyna, and that choice forced Calypso to team up with Nico. We entered the arena, which was dimly lit with neon green lights.
Reyna and I went away from Nico and Calypso as fast as we could, and formulated our battle plan. She would target Nico, while I would target Calypso.
We stayed together while searching for them, then parted when we found our targets. I found Calypso all alone, and I shot her, leaving her unable to shoot for a time. I ran, waited for the right time, and shot her again. This continued for a whole minute, until I tried shooting her again but couldn't. I smiled, and turned back to see Nico. He shot me first, somehow managing to get away from Reyna.
"Don't shoot my teammate again. I can't believe I just said that, but I won't let you win. Calypso, find Reyna, sneak up on her, and shoot her. I'll deal with Leo."
I was screwed. The moment he was able to, Nico kept shooting me. Later, Calypso made Reyna run towards me so we could work as a team. Unfortunately, Calypso and Nico were way ahead of us.
In the end, we lost, but that was part of the plan. Calypso and Nico became friends. Everything went fine.
But, we all had other things to deal with. So, Reyna, Nico, Calypso and I went back to our homes to enjoy our weekends and do our homework.
(A/N: So, this is the end of a really fun chapter to write, and I'll try to make the next ones even more exciting. You won't be seeing Calypso and Leo for a long time, though.)
