Stage 7 : MirAcleS aRe For ThE wEAk

"Sora.........here....take this........"

Steph handed him a strange looking key. It was the key entrusted to her by her grandfather, the old king.

It took a while for her to pull her thoughts together to give it to the two. He always thought that the cold and calculative Kings were not worthy for what her grandfather had left behind, but the past few days have led her to believe that they were indeed worthy, they may not be the nicest and most caring of people, but they certainly believe in Imanity. For her, that was all they needed to be.

After her long detailed explanation, her brain came to a halt as she immediately regretted her decision.

"So this is where the old man's Ero books are...."

Sora's eyes seemed to glitter as he looked at the key.

"No!!! What the heck!? How did you get that idea from my explanation?"

"In my world, statistically speaking, 90% of men hide their Ero books!"

Steph's face was beet red, she thought how her grandfather would read such a vulgar object, before violently shaking her head, trying remove the image from her brain.

"Well.....anyway, we don't know where the keys open, and.....STOP TALKING ABOUT ERO BOOKS!!!"

At those words, Steph got up in a hurry and turned around.

Falling off the bed, Steph chased after Sora.

"Firstly -- the bed is tilted. Shiro fell off after all."

A few days ago Sora had indeed waken up in consolable, Steph recalled.

"So if you push the bed and look closely , there really is an incline. Look at the decorative scales engraved on the plates at the foot of the bed. The scale is tilted to the left, meaning the left is heavier, meaning there's something on the left."

With no catharsis whatsoever, Sora blandly revealed the mystery .

"Next, the bookshelf on the left. The intervals of the shelves are not uniform . Even though the shelves of the one on the right are."

"Eh, right......th, that's certainly so."

"They're irregular, but by and large the pattern can be divided into large and small."

He pointed at the rows of shelves from the top.

"If you take this as 0, the result is 01, 00, 11, 10. Converting to binary that's 1, 0, 3, 2. In this room , well the only book with over 1000 pages is the encyclopedia."

Saying so, Sora took the encyclopedia from the shelf.

"Now the first word on page 1032 is, in the language of Imanity, [lighthouse].

Well ~conventionally it'd probably be referring to a candelabra or chandelier, some sort of lighting fixture."

Sora walked over to some candles mounted on the wall.

"There's been an indent drawn through that word in them iddle, as if with an uninked pen."

As he spoke, Steph looked.

There was indeed a faint dent.

"So it's referring to the candles on the left side of the room, specifically the

[middle] candles. Furthermore that word is connected by three arrows on the left. So- - "

He tilted the candelabra three times to the left.

"Finally, one single arrow to the right points to [harbour] on page 605 as a related item. Basically"

He then tilted the candelabra once to the right .

Once he did, the candelabra slid out......

-Within were four dials.

"Shiro solved it from here, so I'll pass it on."

Tagging hands, Shiro turned the dials.

" ......[lighthouse], [harbour]......Imanity , script......factoring in......number of line, intersections......"

Clicking sounds could be heard.

" ......Perfectly ......four, digits......answer, [2642]......"

As Steph looked on stunned.

Sora, as if showing off rapid magic tricks, clapped his hands and rushed them to the next step.

"And with that behold, behind the curtain, one of the blocks of the wall somehow lifts out!......and it's pretty heavy, so earlier it took both me and Shiro some considerable effort, but as you can see....."

*Rumble rumble rumble*

"The bookshelf moves~"

Behind t hat now displaced bookshelf was- -" Something that looks like a locked door. The key should be for t hat, right?"

Taking out the key he had obtained from Steph, Sora spoke leisurely.

Too leisurely.

Too l eisurely, and too unceremoniously.

This must have been a mechanism the previous king had desperately planned out with all his cunning, Steph shouted out.

"J- j u, just when did you figure this out!!"

"Like I said, the day Shiro fell off the bed."

"......Nod nod"

- - No wait.

Please wait, thought Steph.

" ......Would that be the day you made me a dog, and challenged Jibril to a game?"

"Ah, you have a good memory."

"That's trauma I'll never be able to forget even if I wanted to! More importantly!"

Steph looked back on that day, from when Sora had awoken trembling.

Steph had lost at black jack.

They had then proceeded to decimate the nobles- - then they had visited the libraries.

"Just when did you find the time to solve all this- - !?"

"From when  you  called for the nobles, in that hour I guess?"

Without any fuss, they had solved it in such a trivial amount of time.

This mystery -- that Steph had brooded over for so long.

As if it were just to pass the time.

Steph was stunned, but it was as if Sora wasn't even aware of their own achievement.

Right, this is all, just a game to them......

"Well, that being said we couldn't find the key, so this is as far as we got."

Loosening up, Sora coughed.

"Now then -- let us go worship the treasure books hidden within, ah, I'll blindfold Shiro first ."

" ......muu......no, fair......"

" Time is impartial . Please wait seven years."

"Haven't I been saying they're not ero books!?"

Sora turned the key he had gotten from Steph in the key hole.

With the sound of refined fittings creaking , the door opened.

Steph, Shiro and even Sora, was at the edge of their seats, if only they were sitting on a chair, they would probably have fallen off.

They took a step inside and saw dusted chairs and tables.

Sora walked towards the table, on top of it was a book. It's title was unreadable due to the dust that had settled on top of it.

He flipped the pages of the book and read it out loud.....

"From the king of the last of Imanity - - to the king who will bring us back, I leave this to you....."

"Move!!!"

Kaira somehow landed on top of Sora's head, the newly proclaimed king, now flat on the floor with the beauty landing on top of his body.

"Awww........"

".....Kaira.....are you ok?....."

"How about me, sister, are you going to ask my situation?"

She quickly shook off the fall, immediately standing up and ran around the small library.

Looking at every book she saw and throwing away everything she didn't want, she rummaged through the old library, causing the others to violently cough at the small dust storm she created.

"Oi!....cough....Kaira!!! What are you up to?!"

Sora can barely speak out as he coughed and coughed.

"AHA!!!!"

Kaira held a book in the air, a feeling of relief spread through her face.

The title of the book was very dusty like the rest of the books in the library, but the dust was falling off and the cover was starting to become visible....

"Th........R.....ES...........

......................F.............

.T...E.........G...M...........

.....O.....G.....'S............."

{A/N}

This is a small game for the readers, although it is part of the plot, let's see if you can solve it faster than Blank!!!

Of course winning against those two would be impossible, so I will be giving out THREE tips that can help you guess the title of the book.

1. There are seven words in the title....

2. It is directly related to Tet and indirectly connected to Blank...

3. Your last clue will be the from the anime, the part where Tet talks to them on the Balcony...

I hope this isn't too hard!!! If it is let me know and I'll add tip number four.....

The winner will also receive umm......I guess a drawing request.......BTW I know how to draw, the picture up top, even though it has no resemblance to NGNL is something I drew to prove I have a little amount of skill.....

{End A/N}

Was all they can read, before Kaira noticed them reading the title of the book and in that instant she threw the book to a nearby wall, the book somehow disappeared as it came in contact with the wall.

*Whistle*

Kaira slowly tiptoed away from the room, pretending nothing ever happened.

"What was that?"

"A dust storm?"

"No, idiot, the book! I was talking about the book she took!"

It was a bit late but the angel arrived, bumping in their conversation.

"Masters! A book!......She's going to steal a book!"

"You're a little late...."

"Sorry, master.....I have proven to be unworthy for serving you....."

Seeing the angel down, Sora brightened the mood.

"We still have two more questions for her to answer truthfully, but I doubt we'll be getting the truth after the time we'd given her."

"--Nod, nod"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Steph asked, a little confused like any normal person would.

"If you can get her to answer truthfully then how about asking the tittle of the book she stole?"

"*Sigh* If only she was as simple minded as you, this would have been much easier..."

"--Nod, nod"

Sora groaned in frustration while Steph was still in the background, confused at what was happening, yet again.

All the while, being watched by a 'boy', he grinned at them and said: "She really does think that I would lose again, to mortal men like you..."
