Stage 4 : LEt mE GueSs...
*Author's P.O.V*
It's been a couple of hours since Kaira proposed a battle between Kurami and Blank.
"Hmmm...we were actually planning on challenging her for a game....I guess this makes it a lot easier"
"Kaira.....what game is it?"
Shiro tugged the clothes of the older girl as they sat down on a table in a pub.
"That's a s-e-c-r-e-t !"
She spelled out the words as she softly grinned at Shiro.
"And....why is she here?"
Sora's tone got a little more serious as he pointed his thumb at Steph, who at time was sticking close to Kaira.
"She's...my slave I guess?"
"Eck! Slave?!"
For the first time in their entire conversation Steph spoke.
"Can...can I be with you guys for a while..."
"Depends...what can you do?"
Sora bluntly stated.
"Umm..."
The look on her face deeply suggested that she was starting to panic.
"Sigh....I still have a game to prepare...and after tomorrow, we'll be parting ways for a while."
"Figures...well that was expected since you really have nothing to do with us."
"Correct!"
Kaira smiled at them before walking behind a pillar and never appearing on the other side.
"Huh?!"
Steph was a bit alarmed to see this and quickly examined the pillar.
"Is there somesort of hidden passage?!"
She continuously tapped the pillar hoping to tap a secret button. While Sora and Shiro didn't even pay any attention since they didn't think that they owed her an explanation.
"So many games to play!"
Kaira cheerfully said as she read a book entitled 'Top 1000 commonly played games'.
"But, I think I want something unique for tomorrow.....I know!"
At the snap of her fingers, the garden glowed brightly from the outside. Thankfully not a lot of people were in the inn that night.

"...ra...Sora...Ohh...you finally woke up"
"What time is it..."
Sora groaned as he tried to crawl out of bed.
"Isn't the game going to be played at mid day?"
As he opened his eyes he saw Kaira's annoyed face. She then shouted...
"Its already mid day!!! You NEETs!!!"
She quickly pulled the sheet and saw how Shiro was still latched onto her brother.
"Oi...Shiro...we have to get the throne."
"...Sora?"
It took a while for the siblings to get ready. The two of them showed no sign of panic as the time slowly ticked by.
+Time Skip+
"Did you invite them?"
Sora looked a little surprised as he saw a lot of people coming to the garden.
Inside the enormous garden was two tall platforms. There were all kinds of people in there. There were a couple officials that sat high above the crowd.
"I invited them to have witnesses to this battle."
Kurami was already on one of the platforms. As soon as she noticed Sora and Shiro came in she mockingly laughed.
"Huh...so you two managed to show up...doesn't mean that you'll win though"
She cruelly laughed as Sora and Shiro climbed up their own platform.
"Ehem..."
Everyone's attention was caught and looked to where it came from.
It was Kaira.
"Now that I've caught everyone's attention..."
She walked towards a large object covered with a white cloak, although even after being covered it looked like an enormous tent.
She pulled off the cloak and it revealed a giant wooden table separated by a tall divider at the middle.
"Battleships!!!"
She cheerfully announced but everyone except for Sora and Shiro looked puzzled.
"What game is that?!"
Someone from the crowd shouts and soon everyone started questioning it.
"Shush! This is a game from a faraway land. Look below your seats and you can see what the original game looks like."
Everyone looked under their seats to find a small box, inside it were the game itself and the instructions.
Kurami looked under here chair to find a box. Although she did not open it. Sora and Shiro saw the same box but they already knew the mechanics of the game.
"I'm guessing she already taught you the basics."
Kurami just gave Sora a smile, clarifying his suspicion.
Meanwhile, everyone in the benches were reading the instruction manual.
"Although that game and 'that' game has some differences, obviously...NOW!!! Let the games begin!!!"
The ships were colored black and white. Black being Blank and white courtesy of Kurami.
"Wait? Aren't we going to arrange our ships?!"
"You two probably know how this game works, huh? Why don't you move first?"
When you look at it her ships were placed side by side to each other. The fact that the wall that was supposed to make her piece unseen by the opponent was low enough for the opposing team to see her ships, although she can see their ships too. Shiro stood at the edge of the platform silently.
"So you guys also have no idea what's happening."
"B-6"
Shiro Blankly said and in an instant, the 1x1 boat located at that spot was suddenly blown up by a missile that came from their own boat.
Seeing this, Kurami did the same and off course...the same thing happened...again and again.
This repeated for a few turns, it was Kurami's turn, before she can say another coordinate Kaira butted in.
"That's not how you play it!!!"
She was steaming mad as she glared at the two siblings.
"*sigh* get your box...you'll see what I mean."
She disaopintingly said before sitting down on a chair.
"What?!"
Kurami pulled out a tablet from the box and how her ships were broken down and arranged were also the same. It was a duplicate of the board she was using.
Sora and Shiro sat across her with a mischievous smile on Sora's face.
"So you two figured it a while ago, huh?"
Kaira said as she quickly explained to Kurami.
"The moment you decided to neglect an attack they have already decided to go along with your train of thought since if you continue playing like that you will run out of boats faster than them...and didn't I say this game is a little different from the one I told you about?"
Kurami was deep in thought but she forgot one thing...the game was still going.
With that another one of her boats exploded.
Sora looked at ease since this one looked like it was in the bag. He knew that the game would be too stupid if it was only played like that. The moment he saw the box that was supposed to contain the game was different he already knew how to play it.
Shiro handled the 'remote' while Sora looked over to the ships and try to predict where it will go.
The game was actually simple...if you play shooter games. All the ships are characters that you can control in real time and attack the enemy ships with it's weapons. Since the game requires a lot of multitasking Blank excelled in playing it.
On the other hand Kurami was having a difficult time. The projectiles that the ships launch were too fast for her eyes to track. You have to rely solely on predicting where the enemy will attack next since you can only attack once in five seconds, from what she counted.
She took a peek at her elven friend, from the look on her face she was worried. Kurami could only smile as her ships slowly get taken down. While the enemy's entire fleet was still unscathed.
She remembered something...
"nothing a little magic can't fix"
She intentionally dropped a coin pouch which in reality contained a magic where whatever object it touches can be controlled by the blond elf.
She pretended not to notice that the pouch dropped on her platform. The moment she didn't get called from cheating she did her best to hide an evil grin.
After the magic was released from the pouch, her ships moved more fluently and almost all of her attacks were starting to land.
As Blank's 4-decker sunk, she looked at their reactions. Their faces never changed.
Blank knew that she was cheating but they had no way to prove it. They were left with their single deckers and a three decked but it was still winnable. Even through that virgin brain of his, Sora had a plan.
Shiro was starting to get nervous as another ship was shot down. Her reflexes were too fast when compared to a human when it comes to games but it was different when faced against that of a magical creature, although she didn't know that, but one thing was clear to her, she was losing.
"Let's switch players, Shiro."
Sora slowly grabbed the controller from his little sister and he had an enormous smirk on his face.
It was a game of wits this time. Fil, who was hididng deeply in the crowd, without a cloak. She suddenly remembered the events of yesterday.
Kaira had suddenly barged into their room and told them about the game she was going to modify for tomorrow's game. Even though she knew Fil was an elf, out of nowhere she asked them both...
"AWW!!! Elves are so cute! Can I dress you up?!"
Fil and Kurami couldn't do anything and before they knew it Fil was in a brown and green dress with complete face makeover. Kaira made her look exactly like someone from Imanity.
She kept her blond hair with a different hairstyle but had makeup covering her flawless white skin and a pair of contact lenses.
She was still puzzled until now to why they were helped by Kaira. She knew that without the disguise that there was a huge chance of her being caught if she went only with her cloak.
She saw the eyes of Sora go through the crowd before but he didn't notice her presence there.
"STOP!!!"
Sora instantly held his controller up and Kurami did the same. Fil stopped controlling the ships since it would be too obvious if the ships managed to move on their own after Kurami abandoning the controller.
"Ahh, forget that..."
Sora shyly said before he quickly pressed the fire button to which one of Kurami's ship exploded.
A couple people started to accuse Sora of cheating but Kaira shutted them up.
"In a war...do you raise your weapons if you see your enemy do so? NO! You strike them down then ask them why they raised their weapon."
Sora could only smile after hearing her explanation since he couldn't have said it any better.
It was a single decker VS a double decker courtesy of Kurami. Everyone was at their seats as the five second cooldown of their attacks seemed like minutes.
Kurami was leading with Fil controlling her ship. The keen eyesight of an elf beats that of a human so winning a straight fight would almost be impossible for Blank. Kurami knew this and decided to continue with their strategy. None of their attacks were hitting the small submarine.
It was a close match but Sora wasn't firing. He knew that he couldn't depend on luck to win since luck doesn't exist. He knew that luck is just a word for people who cannot understand everything on a deeper understanding.
He noticed that when you fire your attack there will be a 0.3 second stop time for the attack to be launched. This interval is so fast that it is almost unnoticeable by the spectators.
"Shiro...play for a while"
He handed the controller to the little girl who was already proven to be outmatched.
She didn't bother to argue with his brother since she knew that he always made their plans work. They had complete faith in each other, that's how Blank works.
Fil was holding off her shot as well, seeing that none of her shots were landing.
"STOP!!!"
It was Sora again...although the enemy has already seen this trick. She instantly fired her shot to where Blank's boat was on, she thought that they would stop moving and raise their controllers like last tome. But she was wrong.
After Sora shouting "STOP!!!" Shiro immediately fired a shot towards Kurami's ship.
Her brother told her how the enemy would think that it was one of his tricks again and that he would raise his controller like the last time and had their ship staying in one place. Since the attack took about 0.2 seconds to land after being released you have to predict the next movement of the enemy but if they think that you would be standing still they wouldn't even predicting your movement.
Shiro immeadietly fired, making use of the 0.3 second stop time and landing her hit.
It was one target versus one target.
"It looks like that was your last trick."
Kurami said with an irritated tone.
"............"
"This game will be mine for sure."
Kurami confidently stated since Sora has already released all his possible tricks at them and she knew that she and Fil wouldn't be tricked by anything else.
At this rate, Blank will surely lose...
