Simon's PoV
I bounced a bit in my cage, seeing the view that I could only see from the metal cage door. I heard Josh fumbling with his keys, then a 'Click' sound came from the door in front of me. I looked through the tiny gaps in the metal cage door, to see a flat that has well... Not yet finished with the furniture since there are still boxes around. Not that I'm complaining!
He gently placed the cage on the floor of his living room, and unlocked the small lock on the cage door.
I hopped out of the cage and switched back, the same red flashy effects surrounding my body. I stood on two in my normal form, and looked carefully at the details of this flat.
The basic stuff you need to have were here, very neat place for my opinion. There was a tiny corridor which leads to five rooms, which I don't know where to yet.
"Umm... Simon I think you can stay in this room. It's not finished with the basics you need but I'll work on it." Josh said standing next to the door that was the at the end of the corridor, waving his hands, signalling me to come.
I slowly walked over as I took in more details of this flat, and stopped once I was standing in front of him. He twisted the door knob which opened the door and showing the inside.
I gasped in amazement as I saw what was in there, it was a lot better than what I lived in for my whole life. There was a king-sized bed next to the left wall, a relatively new computer with some brand new headphones next to it near the right wall, a desk and chair in the middle of the two, as well as some boxes littered everywhere. Although it was still not yet finished, it was still the best room for myself I've ever seen.
"Are you joking right now?!" I asked in surprise looking up at the male that was slightly taller than me.
"I'm not joking Simon, this is where you'll be staying in most of the time. Sorry if it's messy though." He said, in a rather serious voice.
"Thank you so much master! I'll clean up this and your room daily to make it up to you!" I exclaimed excitedly, jumping around a bit.
He looked at me with a confused expression, so I quieted down just in case I said something wrong.
"Number one, you don't need to call me 'master', just call me Josh or any nickname you want. Second, there's no need for you to clean up my room, just take it as a gift alright?" He replied as I nodded at his rules. I walked in as I sat on the bed, playing with the pillow.
"Wait, can I request something?" He asked right before I went to open the computer.
"W-What is it?" I asked quietly, as I looked at him with a slightly worried look.
"Sit on the edge of your bed and don't move." He commanded, in a rather nice way. I knew nothing goes well in my life...
He sat down next to me, as I felt something warm touch my ears. I purred in pleasure as I rubbed my fur on the warmth, feeling the sudden need of someone petting me.
I quickly switched into my kitten form and as I expected, Josh lifted his hand up in surprise. The light effects slowly faded as I sat down in my kitten form, laying on his side as I rubbed my fur against his hand. He got my message as he petted the top of my head, I meowed in delight as he continued.
He slowly glided his hand towards my spine as he ran his hand down on top of it, I was still meowing in joy. But suddenly the feeling of pain shot up near the lower part of my body, making me yelp in surprise.
"Simon? You alright mate?" He asked surprised, his hand holding my paw to comfort me.
"It hurts..." I replied in a quiet voice, the pain slowly fading. Was it my scars again? I know they look almost like nothing, but the damage is still there, being covered by my fur.
And as if he read my mind, he asked in a slightly panicked voice, "It's your scars isn't it? Lay down here while I grab some medical stuff..." After that he left the room in a snap, so I just followed his command and laid down on the soft bed.

A few minutes later~
Josh came back in with a medkit and a bucket of water plus a towel, and sat down next to me. He slowly stroked the top of my head in a comforting way with one hand, as he used the his other hand to open the medkit to grab some stuff. I've no clue what was going on as I was facing the opposite way of where he was, only thing I can hear was- water?
He lightly tapped the water soaked towel on some of my hardly seeable scars, as I tried my best to not hiss in pain. Afterwards he wrapped some elastic bandages around the part near my waist, and patted my head in a rewarding way.
"Any other spots that needs cleaning?" He asked, as I shook my head in reply while standing up on two, instead of laying down.
"T-Thanks for that Master- I mean Josh..." I kindly replied, immediately correcting my words as I speak. I switched back to my half form, and sat back down on the edge of the bed.
"Wanna help me unpack? If you're in a stable condition with your pain of course, I don't want you getting hurt while doing so." Josh said, standing up and looked at me. I just gave a simple nod and walked out following him close behind.

After a few hours of opening boxes and stuff within those~
I yawned as I opened the last few boxes around me, gently placing the lamp on the desk that I just took out. I did secretly stole some empty boxes to put in my new room, and he seems fine with it. I looked out of the window in the living room to see the moon that has just came up, stars shining brightly next to it.
"Simon are you tired? We can do the rest of them tomorrow morning." He suggested, and I nodded and yawned again, walking in my room, opening the lights.
I laid down on the comfy bed and slipped under the covers, tugging the corners of the covers a bit. I turned my head to look at the door the once more before I fell asleep, and heard a sound.
"Good night Si." Josh mumbled, turning off the lights.
"G'night Josh. Thank you so much for today." I replied back, putting the covers over my head.
