Simon's PoV
The manager was soon back with a grin and opened the metal door that was for this room. Our room design is quite interesting, as the wall facing the hallway was made of glass, for the people to see us, with a metal door next to the glass that needed a key to open it.
The bearded male soon walked closer to me and tried to pet me, but I just stepped backwards in defence, hissing at his movements. I normally walked on four, since I felt more natural doing so.
I think he got my message of no touching, as he backed up and introduced himself. "Hey there Simon, my name's Josh. You're not much of a talker are you?" He asked in a soothing voice, and I nodded in response to the question.
I sat down as I scanned his appearance, looking closely at the details- oh wow this sounded creepy... He started walking again as he explored my rather tiny space, checking my bed, also my meals and drinks too.

Josh's PoV
Hmm... This place seems fine except the fact that they locked them in here. From previous talks with Ethan, I've learnt a lot about their action's meanings, thus their speciality also. I took a paper out of my pocket from my jeans, it was the one that I wrote about all the information about them.

Facts about Kitten Hybrids
1. They're actually 3/4 size of a normal human.
2. They like a ton of different food other than cat food and fish.
3. Most of them were born with a special power, which I need to be careful with.
4. Honestly they're just humans with cat ears and cat tail, why do people see them differently?
5. Be nice to them on your first encounter with him/her. You don't want a bad impression to your friend.
6. They can shift into a normal kitten if they want, but it'll take a lot of their energy.

I finished reading the paper and looked next to me the hybrid standing on two, trying to read my expression and the paper. I put down my paper below him on the ground as he gave me a confused look. He sat down with his legs crossed, as he examined the paper.
"Is there any mistake with this note?" I asked keeping my voice low, not wanting to startle him.
"I don't think so..." He replied in an innocent and sweet voice, handing the paper back to me. I just smiled and walked out of the door since Ethan was calling me this whole time.
The manager closed the metal door that accessed to this room, and Simon just sat in front of the wide glass screen looking at me with a small smile.
"He has already got good feelings about you. Look at him!" Ethan whispered to me, then turning his head to his direction, I followed his action to see the hybrid drawing shapes on the glass while thinking about something.
He walked back to the front of the hallway, me following close behind, wanting to tell him something.

A minutes or two later~
He went back to his workers only room and I grabbed my wallet from my pocket and got some notes out, putting it on the counter that was near that room.
He walked out with a pet cage, obviously for the hybrid to stay in for the trip home. He walked up to the counter to put down the cage, and definitely noticing the cash.
"You don't need to pay Josh! I'm glad someone nice can finally adopt him, so take him free as a thank you from me." Ethan said, picking up the money to give them back to me.
"Just take it as a tip, for chatting with me when I was here, and this cage, plus your niceness too." I answered as I gave him back the notes with a grin.
He just thanked me with a smile as I signed the last few documents of getting a hybrid, and finally I could bring the neko to his- well our new home I can say.

In front of Simon's room again~
Ethan opened the metal door once again, and to my surprise he didn't try to escape at all. I walked in with the cage opened as I placed it down near the food and water bowls he had.
He sat down a distance away and closed his eyes, and all of a sudden a flash of blinding red lights shined around him, then next moment there sat a blonde tabby kitten. He still had the same blue eyes and smile, but he's basically a kitten now.
I patted the spot in front of the cage to tell him to get in, he got what I meant as he walked in sat down. "You comfy in there? If you still don't get it I'm bringing you home." I asked once he found a comfy place in the cage that he liked. He replied with a simple purr, and started cleaning himself with licks. I guess it's true that they like cleaning themselves then?
I took the cage off the ground slowly once he stated he was comfy, and he just sat there without struggling or anything like that. That was unexpected...
"Bye Ethan! See you soon bro!" I said as I opened the door that leads to the outside world. Simon let out a long purr as a goodbye I guess. Ethan just waved his hand as we left.

At the parking lot where Josh finally found his car~
(I know Josh's car is an Audi and Simon's car is a Tesla (I think), but I changed it so that Josh's car is a Tesla since reasons)
I finally found my dark blue Tesla that was parked in the oddly crowded parking lot, this place was for some reason over crowded, as this place was normally near empty. I felt struggling and tired pants from the cage, so I quickly hopped into the car and set the cage on the backseats with the metal door open.
The tabby tiredly came out, and the same red light covered around it, which then revealed Simon panting a bit, with beads of sweat all over his face.
"Y-You took a bit t-too long for finding your car-" He managed to say between pants, a bit of fear can still be heard in his voice though.
"Sorry for that. This carpark was a lot more crowded than usual. Here, take this to cover your ears and tail." I finished as I threw him a snapback and jacket. He seemed to be surprised by my actions, but shrugged it off afterwards and started trying to wear the jacket.
His tail was clearly blocking him from wearing it normally, but luckily the jacket was a bit too big for his size, so it just covered his tail that was hugging his waist. The snapback perfectly covered his cat ears, but you can still see the front of his quiff that was out.
I started the engines of this car as soon as we both fastened our seatbelts for safety purposes, and we took off in a snap.

At their new fancy apartment~
Simon slept most of the trip back, since I had auto driving on so I just hopped to the backseats to grab out a blanket from the back of the car to keep him warm. I went back to driving soon after anyways so we were perfectly safe.
I woke him up by shaking him slightly, as he just flinched a bit when he was up. I wonder why...?
"Oh umm... Sorry for my rude actions there..." He apologised as I quickly shushed him off with a sign that I formed with my hands which told him to stay quiet.
"We're here at last... The new home for you, and for me also." I mumbled so that only us two can hear, red lights then flashed behind me, as he just got in the opened cage excitedly in response.

Hey there, Flame here and I know this chapter is just mostly them getting back home but eh, it's good enough for now. I may rewrite this if I have time, i dunno maybe...? The next chapter will be out soon and till then, fire on!
