Zak was the first to wake up, yawning despite his messed up sleep schedule. With lazy eyes he glanced at Darryl, who was sleeping peacefully. For a few moments Zak gazed upon the other, a small smile making it's way onto his lips. The younger leaned over and gave Darryl a peck on the lips, before getting up and dressing himself properly.
With one last look at his beloved, Zak walked into the main room. No one was awake, as I had stated earlier, but they seemed close. One thing Zak noticed was Nick was twitching and mumbling a bit, as if he was having a nightmare.
Zelk and Mega were huddled close, Zelk being taller so he was more coiled around Mega. The boy was about to turn the the kitchen, but when he glanced at George and Clay, Clay was already stirring. Zak flinched hard, frozen for a moment, before assuring himself it was only Clay, not some nightmare.
Zak walked into the kitchen, making pancakes, and Clay was now stretching, slowly but surely waking up. George was awoken by the sudden activity, letting out a squeak of protest and tugging Clay down again. Clay gave in, eyelids fluttering as he lay next to George on his stomach.
A few minutes went by, and soon enough the smell of fresh pancakes wafted into the room. Mega awoke by this, waking up quickly. Blinking, Mega looked around with fear in his eyes for a second, but only a second. Then, he saw Zelk and relaxed, his eyes warmer.
It was awhile until everyone was awake, Nick sitting up and zoning out again, Darryl yawning as he leaned on the doorway, Zelk trying to get Mega to sleep like George did Clay, and finally Vincent shook Rose gently awake.
"Oh fuck, I slept in the wig," Rose reached up and took the wig off, and the hair on ot was still straight surprisingly. "Okay, now call me Jude. Or Finn, whichever you prefer." Sh-He-They- he giggled, and Vincent's face had some color in it.
Zak walked back into the room, loudly announcing 'Breakfast is ready!'
Clay pushed George away from him a little, sitting up again. "George, wake up lazy ass." he murmured.
"Language." Darryl said with a small grin. The group headed to the dining table, where Zak had set out breakfast.
time skip after breakfast brought to you by; Pixie can finish many oneshots and even a ten part book, each part in the book having less than 500 words, but she cant even finish the first thing she wrote on this account ages ago- I mean what?
Nick didnt eat much, and locked eyes with Clay. The older boy gave him a warm nod, and Nick glanced at George.
"George, can I talk to you in private?" Nick asked in a quiet voice. George gave him a funny look.
"Of course you can," George gave a friendly smile to Nick, as if he could sense Nick's anxiety. Nick shyly got up, Clay getting up aswell, and George followed both of them into Zak's room, closing the door.
Zak and Vincent shared a quizzical look for a moment, before shrugging. Zak insisted to take and wash the dishes, even when Darryl didnt seem to be close to budging. Collecting the plates, he headed off into the kitchen again. Zelk let out a laugh.
"What do you think they're talking about?" The boy asked, a smirk on his face. Darryl glared at him, but it wasnt a very rude one. More like an angry toddler, in a sense.
"That's none of your business," Darryl stated, "Yet."
Zelk raised an eyebrow. "So you know."
"Well- yes, but-," Darryl started, but was quickly interrupted by the furry man Zelk. "So tell us. Tell me. Please?" Zelk gave Darryl puppy eyes.
They argued for a few more minutes, and Vincent, Jude, and Mega each rolled their eyes at the words being thrown around.
And then, the door opened. It was just then everyone realized how red Nick's face was before. He was alot paler now, hands locked with George and Clay, with the biggest grin on his face, like he had accomplished something.
And he had.
He spoke to his soulmates.
