Third person POV

Alex drove up to the gates of Columbia University, she has worked hard almost her whole life to get here.
So this was one big accomplishment for her.

She grinned and turned of her car engine.
She got out of her car and walked to the trunk of her car, the was was cheap and old, but it still worked, so it was good.
She got her duffle bag out, which held all her important stuff, which was clothes, a few pairs of shoes, some pencils and paper, and a few pictures.
It wasn't a lot, but enough to last her the rest of the year.

"EY, Alex! Need a lil' help here?"
She turned around and saw her friends, Jane, Lafayette, and Hercules.
they have been friends since Alex has moved to America,
"Hey guys!" Alex said, "We haven't seen each other for, what, a month?" Jane said.
"Its been a week, Laurens." Alex chuckled, "Well thats a long time for me.." Jane said crossing her arms.

Hercules grabbed Alex's bag, "Soo, do you guys know who you roommate or roommates are?" he asked, "Ugh, sadly yes, im with that Samuel Seabury guy." Jane scoffed.

"Me and Laf are together." Hercules said proudly, grabbing her hand.
Lafayette And Hercules started dating last year, Jane and Alex dated for a while, but they both ended up agreeing they where better off as good friends.

"I should probably go figure out who my roommates are." Alex said, grabbing her bag out of Hercs hands, "I'll talk to you guys later!" she said.
