At lunch we sit outside with Caleb and his friends.

"So how's life been treating you?" One of Caleb's friends asks me

"What do you mean?" I ask not paying any attention to him

"Just if you're...going to marry that book?" He says hinting me to pay attention to him

"Yes we are engaged, the ceremony will be next week you're all invited" I say sarcastically and the first time ever Caleb chuckles.

I shoot my head up from my book to look at him and see that the other boy looks as confused as me.

"I give up. You win" the boy (let's call him the ginger because of his ginger hair I guess) says putting up his hands up in defeat and I smile as I start reading my book again.

After a while I feel someone tap me in the shoulder and our table goes quiet.

I look up and see Josh stand beside me

"Go away" I say bluntly

"C'mon Victoria-" he starts

"she said go away" Daniela says stepping in

"this isn't any of your business" he says and I see Caleb start to get a bit angry

"Save yourself the trouble and leave" I say not wanting this to end up in a fight

"I need to talk to you" Josh says sounding scared

"sorry no can do" I say

"it's about last night" he says...sorry whispers

"not interested" I lie, I just can't be around him it's too painful.

He sighs and walks away.

"What happened last night?" The ginger asks curious

"someone broke into her apartment and jumped out the window" Daniela says before I can say anything.

Caleb and his friends have some sort of a silent conversation with their eyes.

"Do you have a roommate?" The ginger asks

"No, why?" I ask confused and their silent conversation continues.

The conversation ends with Caleb nodding like they've come to an agreement then he says "Adam will be staying guard and Daniela and I will talk to-"

before he can finish Daniela puts her hand over his mouth but he would destroyed any other person if it wasn't her.

"- A person we think might be apart of your B&E problem" he continues when he removes her hand and for some strange reason she looks relieved.

"Thanks? I think...but I don't need a bodyguard" I say adding this to the 'Strange Daniela' list which was getting longer every time I see her after she met Caleb.

"Well on the bright side your bodyguard is hot" Adam says but I just roll my eyes.

But it's true he is hot with his puppy brown eyes, ginger hair, muscles and tanned skin but he is also in on whatever Caleb and Daniela are in on.

I mean sometimes I wonder if Caleb is abusing Daniela but then again he'd be abusing all his friends too, maybe they're in a gang or a part of a fight club because most of the time Daniela is bruised, cut, hell I've even seen what look like bullet wound and I'm worried about her health.

"Victoria?" Daniela asks and I snap back to reality

"hmm?" Is the only response I could think of at the moment

"class is about to start" she says.

I go through the rest of my classes as usual except the last one.

"This is Theo. I want you all to be nice to him" Mrs. Dee says as a blond boy stepped in he's blond obviously, he has blue eyes, quite pale skin, a bit muscular but not like Caleb and co and he is not tall tall but not medium he is more of a medium tall...if that makes sense.

He's cute, hot and charming all combined basically he's hopefully my 'get over Josh' boy...

"Theo!" Clark (the most popular boy in school) calls and of course they know each other, the pretty boy runs with the pretty boy crowd and doesn't date the ugly potato looking girls like me.

As he is on his way to Clark he sees the empty seat besides me and turns courses walking towards me.

"Is this seat taken?" He asks and I just shake my head.

"What's your name?" He asks in a low voice

"Victoria" I answer a bit confused

"why are you sitting here instead of besides Clark?"

'NO! Why did I ask that!' I'm sure my life is over but he just smiles

"because you were alone"

I'm about to melt out of embarrassment 'because people hate my friends, that's why I sat alone'

"There is a reason I sat alone"

"Is it because your friend is dating Caleb?"

"how-" I start

"how do I know? Because Clark told me and they're not trying to hide it especially to the new guy" he says and gives me a half smile

"what do you mean?" I ask and I really need to stop with the questioning

"I'm sorry about the questions. Just having some trust issues lately"

'GOD! What is wrong with me?' I think

"No it's okay, I understand you perfectly. Plus I kind of like the random question. And if you still want to know what I meant I can still tell you if you want that is" he says and I didn't believe that he is a real person because a real person wouldn't sit next to me and they would have run away a long time ago because of my questions

"I still want to know" I say too curious for my own good

"they stopped me in the hall and started asking me strange questions about someone braking in somewhere" he says and looks at Clark

"WTF mate? Why are you sitting there instead of here?" Clark basically asks with his eyes

"Can I ask you something?" He says and looks at me

"hmm?" Is my response

"I know we just met and everything but can I for a chance get your number?" He asks and at first I'm contemplating if he's joking but then I realize that he's serious and I write down my phone number on a piece of paper.
