I get out of bed, shower and dress in clothes that has a sticky note on the pile with my name written on it, I text Daniela

Me: you awake?

Daniela: yeah haven't gotten much sleep lately

Me: why?

Daniela: can I just tell you in person?

Me: sure

Daniela: I'll come get you

Me: ok I'll be waiting outside

Daniela: hope you won't get lost on your way out

Me: what do you mean?

Daniela doesn't respond so I walk out of the room and into a hallway full of doors.

I thought I'd never find stairs or an elevator or a rope for that matter but in the end I finally find stairs. It takes me a while to find my way out of the gigantic maze like house and when I finally get out I see Daniela is already here.

"So what did you want to tell me?" I ask as I get in the car

"I know I sound paranoid but do you think Caleb is cheating on me?" She asks worried

"cheating on you? No, why do you think that?" I ask and if he is then I'll beat the living shit out of him because cheating on my best friend is a one way ticket to hell

"because there isn't that spark between us like there used to be and he's been acting strange" she says and now I feel bad for knowing what's about to happen

"he may be acting strange but I could never even imagine him or anyone cheating on you if they knew what I'd do to them" I say and show her my fist proving that I will beat them to death if I have to

"thanks but I don't think he's afraid of a human girl" she says and smiles a little bit

"I'm not any human girl I'm the human girl" I say proudly and try my best to look as heroic as I can

"yes, very intimidating" she says sarcastically and we both laugh

"I'm really craving hot chocolate" I say and yes I'm a weird ass person who drinks hot chocolate no matter the weather. Not Tea. Not Coffee. No, I drink the wonder known as hot chocolate.

"why don't you just drink tea or coffee like a normal person" she knows about my hot chocolate obsession but still makes fun of me (not in a mean way)

"because tea is strange and coffee is disgusting" I defend myself as she starts the car and drives us (me) to get some hot chocolate.

Me, Daniela and some of her none human friends meet at the mall and that includes Caleb who doesn't look as bad as before.

"Daniela thinks you're cheating on her, if that's true I will destroy you and I'm not joking" I whisper but no one seams to notice except Caleb

"I'm not. Yet" he says and I peer my eyes as I look at him

"I will murder you if you do that to her" I say but the problem is that Caleb's behind me making me look like an idiot if nobody can hear us

"I'm not afraid of some human girl" he says and that ticks me off a bit. Daniela is my best friend so it's okay that she calls me just a human girl but he isn't even my friend so he can't say that to me

"oh. my favorite shop let's go in there" I say and drag Daniela with me away from the others who follow calmly

"what's the rush?" She asks surprised

"just want to check on something" I say as we enter a book shop

"oh, no. Last time you were here you spent way to much money on books you haven't even started reading yet" she says and stops us. She's way stronger so I look like I just hit a wall and bounced back when she stops and I hear candy or some girl laughing in the background

"I'm just looking for one book this time" I say and release my grip

"that's what you said last time but you ended up with eight books" she says as I walk to the shelf with the new books

"that was last time this is this time" I respond and she looks confused

"you know what I'm going just going to let you spend all your money on books so you'll be broke" she says as I see the book I have been waiting for forever

"haha found it" I call but I realize I'm too short to reach for it so I look at the boys who were taller than me (because I'm taller than the girls) asking them for help with my eyes but they all just ignore me

"can someone please help me get that book?" I ask as I point at the book and finally Caleb grabs it and hands it to me

"thank you" I try to pass him but he won't let me as he just looks at me and it's creepy, he's creepy.

"your welcome" he says with a smirk I don't like, I get passed him and pay for the book.

"What was that about?" Daniela asks and I already know where she's going with this

"he was helping me" I say which he did

"no the thing after that" she sounds nervous

"he doesn't trust me so he was giving me the death stare" I say which is also kind of true, I mean he doesn't...or didn't trust me (I don't really know at this point) and that smirk face had a look that could accidentally kill me

"oh, okay. I thought he was cheating on me with you" she says relieved

"you know I wouldn't do that to you besides he's not my type" I say sassy and in the corner of my eye I see Caleb look quickly at me.

"What do you mean by not your type?" He asks surprised and confused

"where to next?" I ask ignoring him and it annoys him

"food" one of the boys says like we've been here for hours

"food it is" I say and start walking to the nearest restaurant that everyone could afford (aka that I could afford)

"I need to talk to you" Caleb says and takes my arm violently

"Caleb?" Daniela asks but he doesn't even look at her

"this won't be long, we'll meat you at Subway. Don't think of listening, any of you." He orders and everyone including Daniela go to the nearest Subway restaurant they can find. We turn to the right where I lose sight on them

"what do you want?" I ask pissed

"what do you mean not your type" he asks me again

"I mean you are not my type" I say making it clearer to him than before

"what is that supposed to mean? I'm everyone's type" he says confused

"well not mine, I prefer humans. After all I am just a human girl, am I not?" I cross my arms stubborn and it pisses him off a bit

"honestly I don't know what you are" he says and I try to walk away but he blocks my way with his arm leaning against the wall and right in front of my face

"you're something but not quite human" he looks puzzled

"what are you suggesting? That I'm a alien?" I say sarcastically because obviously aliens wouldn't dare come here because our earth is trash.

"that's a possibility" he says serious

"I was being sarcastic" I say because I am definitely not an alien...as far as I know

"I know but it would explain some things"

"which things are you talking about?" I ask surprised

"for example me not being your type. That's almost impossible except if you're a lesbian...are you a lesbian?" He asks

"what? No, I have nothing against anyone but no. I just don't like you" I say emphasizing on 'you' and he seems really troubled

"you're the first person who can confuse me this much" he says

"and that's supposed to mean something?" I'm not letting him get to me because then I have betrayed Daniela.

"Maybe" it's strange seeing him confused but it's also quite funny

"we should get going" I really don't want to spend more alone time with him and he looks at me for a while before leading me to the others.
