"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
Aaron keeps repeating that. After what happened last night, he had better be sorry. But why did I agree to it?
This is getting annoying.
"Okay! I get it!" I exclaim, interrupting him. "Your sorry! I'm sorry too..."
"O-okay..." he stutters. His face is bright red, he's tense, and obviously very embarrassed. I am too.
"W-why d-did you... agree to it?" He asks quietly.
Now it's my turn to stutter out an excuse.
"I-I didn't! Wait, I did- BUT- I, uh, was confused! And d-didn't, uh... realize until afterward, um... I DON'T KNOW!" I yell finally, flopping onto my back.
"Does it... mean you still..." he trails off.
"I don't know... everything is complicated..." I sigh, "I don't hate you, but... at the same time I can't fell how I feel..."
He lies next to me, letting out a sigh of his own.
"I get it..." he mutters. We stare at the ceiling for a while.
"I think..." I say finally, "before we sort out how we feel, we need to stop hiding things..."
Aaron tenses visibly.
"W-what does that mean?" He asks nervously.
"It means, I need to know whatever your hiding, and you need to know what I'm hiding." I explain. This is a big risk, I know. Because I'm hiding a lot.
"Okay..." he sits up, "who goes first?" I sit up, tugging on my sleeves nervously.
"Uh... I-I will I guess..." I say quietly.
It's silent.
"Uh... have you ever wondered why I always wear long sleeves?..." I ask nervously.
"No, not really... why?..." he tilts his head.
In one great (or bad) moment of bravery, I pull up one of my sleeves.
He doesn't say anything, just grabs my arm and holds it gently. He doesn't touch any of the scars.
A long time ago, in college after everything fell apart, I started cutting. Katelyn caught me doing it one day. She tried to stop me, but it didn't help. I still do it occasionally.
I don't look at him. He uses a finger to tilt my head up, so I'm looking at him. His eyes are full of tears.
"W-why... y-you... I thought I saw something last night... I just didn't think..."
He hugs me, and I just cry softly.
After what seems like forever, he let's go. I've calmed down enough.
"A-after... that, I'm uh... not sure this is a good time to tell you about... myself... b-but..." he trails off, looking away from me.
"I'm fine..." I say quietly. He gives me a doubtful look.
"Okay... just... promise you won't freak out?" He asks.
"Promise..." I reply softly.
He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes, and pair of fluffy black werewolf ears curl up from his hair, followed by tail the same colour with a red tip. I stare at them.
"I-I'm th-the U-Ultima w-werewolf..."
I blink.
"The what?" I tilt my head.
Don't give me that look Reader, I don't remember everything from werewolf class!
He doesn't open his eyes. Just sighs.
"A werewolf Legend... someone who can turn humans i-into werewolves, and vice versa... s-sometimes killing them in the process..." he says quietly.
I open my mouth in a small O shape.
He opens his eyes. I hug him, and he hugs back.
"Is that why you never told anyone?" I ask. He nods.
"I'm just... worried... if the information becomes public, everything in my life, in my families lives, could fall apart..." he mumbles. I pull away, and stare up at his ears. They're kind of intriguing... I wonder...
I reach my hand, up and pet him. He flinches, and I give him a nervous look.
He relaxes, and I start petting him. I gasp.
Aaron.
Is.
FLUFFY!!!!!
(No, I did not write that with a straight face. Incase your wondering.)
I giggle, and keep petting him. His tail starts wagging, and he let's out a deep rumbling sound. A purr.
"Are you... purring?" I ask, smiling hugely.
"N-n-no!" He exclaims, turning bright red and swatting my hand away.
"Oh my Irene, you are!" I start petting him again. "I didn't know werewolves could purr..."
He sighs, knowing he won't win this now. I giggle, and keep petting him. He closes his eyes, and after a while...
Poof!
He turns into an actual wolf, with black fur and red eyes. He closes his eyes, and sits in my lap while I pet him.
So cute... he's like a giant puppy.
He climbs out of my lap and turns back into a human.
"I'm a what?" He asks.
Oops. I said that aloud...
"Your a puppy." I say, blushing.
"How is that?" He questions, tilting his head.
"You act and look rough, but in the inside, your soft and adorable, and just want some love. Like a puppy." I explain, "You aren't really the rough guy you seem to be."
"I can be rough!" He argues.
I scoff in disbelief.
He smirks, and grabs my wrist, pushing me against the floor. I squeal, and start blushing as he pins me down.
"I can be very rough." He whispers.
I squeak, staring up at him. His ears and tail are gone. He leans down, nipping at my neck. I squeal again, and push him off with my free hand.
He pulls away, frowning.
"Sorry, too much?" He asks.
"Y-yeah... not right now..." I mumble, looking away. He chuckles.
"Let's get some sleep, it's getting dark out." He says, gesturing to the fading light outside. I nod, and lay down. We both do.
I fall asleep quickly.
