Gaara, with Naruto's consent, had dragged him off to his dorm; room 674. Naruto stood awkwardly at the door as Gaara walked inside.

"Get in here!" Gaara yelled, unintentionally however.

"I-Is it really o-okay to be in here?" Naruto asked, cautiously stepping inside. "I d-don't want to intrude."

"Just get in here," Gaara growled, yanking Naruto in his shared room.

"I'm just afraid that Sasuke will catch me in here and then..." The boy trailed off, shivering from the eerie thought of Sasuke all over him.

"You're avoiding him?" Gaara questioned, fully knowing the answer. Sasuke had always came on too strong in the first couple of days, but afterwards he would cool down. "You'll never fully avoid him, you have the same classes as him."

"Eh?! How'd you know?"

Naruto raised an eyebrow, sitting on the floor in front of Gaara's bed.

"Sasuke tells me these things."

After Gaara answered Naruto's question, silence washed over them both. Gaara went to the mini fridge him and Sasuke shared and pulled out a small can of beer. He pulled the tab of his beer, letting it hiss open.

Naruto gasped softly. "You...you drink?"

"Yeah, you want one?" Gaara asked, pointing an unopened can at him.

"No I could never," Naruto says, shaking his head. "They let you drink?"

The drinking teen scoffed after he took a gulp. "Of course not. They just stopped doing room checks two years ago because there's so few teachers and so many students." He takes a another sip. "Great opportunity to sneak alcohol in."

Naruto watched Gaara swallow the rest of the bitter tasting liquid down and crush the aluminum can in his hands.

"You sure you don't want one? You'll get over the bitter taste after a while," Gaara offers once again.

Naruto refuses the alcoholic beverage again, causing Gaara to shrug his shoulders. The slightly buzzed boy plopped down right next to Naruto and turned to him.

"Can I tell you something Naruto?" Gaara asked suddenly.

"Um...if it makes you feel better, sure."

Gaara looked down at his hands, his eyes closing. His thumbs pressed together — this was something Gaara did when he felt uncomfortable or nervous.

"It's been four days since I've slept, and I feel like I'm losing myself. I'm stressed, irritable, my eyes hurt, I have headaches, I have moments of dizziness and I swear to god I'm seeing demons and ghosts."

Gaara looked over to see Naruto's reaction and surprisingly, he had a stone face. Usually, people would stare at Gaara like he was crazy, pass him off as some sort of nut job that needs medication instead of a helpless boy with extremely crummy insomnia.

"I have really bad insomnia and I need to sleep," Gaara's voice begins to tremble. "B-But I can't sleep without someone watching over me. Could you please, watch me when I sleep, just for an hour?"

"Sure Gaara," Naruto answered. This is when he noticed the dark bags under Gaara's eyes. Black circles contrasted with his pale skin sagged from his eyes, making him appear much older than what he was.

"Thanks," was the last thing Gaara said before he passed out.

...

Two hours have passed and Gaara was still sleep on the floor. Naruto had witnessed some things that terrified him.

Gaara had forgot to tell Naruto one thing. He was a sleepwalker, a homicidal sleepwalker. Typically, this only occurs with people of an older age but Gaara was an exception.

Naruto had a purple bruise around his neck, where Gaara's hand had been placed. He was cowering in the corner, away from the sleeping homicidal teen. It was then that Gaara began to move. Fearing that he would attack again, Naruto grabbed the closest object; which happened to be a lacrosse stick.

Gaara rose and Naruto readied his weapon. The sleeping boy shook his head and rubbed his eyes. He looked around his room with half lidded eyes and spotted the cowering boy in the corner.

"Oh, hey," was all Gaara said. He noticed the bruise around Naruto's neck and sighed. "Sorry for anything I did to you."

"It's fine," Naruto said. "Just next time warn a person."

"Yeah."

Gaara looked around again, and smirked at Naruto's choice of weapon. While stretching and cracking his back, Gaara said, "That wouldn't have stopped me from killing you, by the way."

"Wha?"

Naruto raised an eyebrow but then realized that Gaara was talking about the lacrosse stick he was holding. He placed it back where he found it and blushed.

"I'm a beast Naruto. You should be far more careful around me," Gaara says in a warning tone. Naruto gulps and just nods his head, taking in Gaara's words.

"Now get out," Gaara says, pointing to the door. "School is almost over and Sasuke always leaves class five minutes early."

Naruto jumps just from the sound of the Uchiha's name leaving Gaara's mouth. He made a hasty exit from the room, briskly walking down the hallways looking for his dorm room again.

Once he reached his dorm, he jiggled the handle to see if the door would open. It didn't. So Naruto sighed and leaned against the door.

He wondered if Sasuke would return the keys to him or use it to sneak into Naruto's dorm while he's sleeping to molest the poor kid. This thought had caused the poor teen to panic for his safety.

"I guess I won't be sleeping tonight."
