Dr Rhodes p.o.v:
I dont know what time it is when I wake up, but I wake up to a steady beeping of a heart monitor. I sit up properly, and look to me right to see Jeff Clarke laying unconcious on the bed. He still hasnt woken up after surgery. I get up and stretch as I walk over to the bed so I can do a neuro check on Jeff. A sigh of relieve spreads through my body when I see that his intercranial pressure, (pressure of the brain), has normalised and his neuro obs are stable. I walk out of his room and over to the nurses station where I see Dr Will Haltstead standing.

" You look terrible Rhodes, did you stay here all night?" He asks me I nod and reply sarcastically, "Is it that obvious?" We both chuckle and then he asks, "Anyway, hows Clarke doing?" I run my hand over my face then say, "Hes not woken up yet but his i.c.p and neuro obs have normalised, so could be anytime now". He puts a hand on my shoulder,"Come you need coffee and clean scrubs" He says cracking a smile. I follow him back to the ER and into the staff room. He makes some coffee whilst I change into a clean pair of scrubs.

Severides p.o.v:
I walk into the firehouse and go straight to the locker room to change out. 5 minutes later I walk out into the common room and head straight for the coffee machine. Then I walk over to Casey and sit down next to him. " Hey Matt", I say fist bumping him. "Hey Kelly", "Soo I was thinking we should go talk to Boden see if we can head to the hospital to see Clarke..?" "Yeah sounds like a good idea, might brighten the mood a bit". With that we stand up and head for Boden's office. I knock on the door amd he waves us in. "Casey, Severide, what can I do for you two?" Hes say looking up from his computer.
Matt then says,"Well me and Severide were thinking of taking a ride over to Chicago Med to see Clark for a bit, possibly brighten the mood around here abit." He thinks about it and then says, "Okay, but have your ears to those radios and takes everything you might need if you get a call", Matt then says and we both stand up,"Thanks Chief will do". With that we walk back to the common room where everyone else is gathered and I say, "Everyone load up! We're taking a ride to Chicago Med, make sure you have everything youll need if we get a call", everyone stands up and heads for the trucks.

Anyones p.o.v:
Truck was first to pull into Chicago Med, closly followed Squad and Ambo 61 and 67. Everyone hopped out of their vehicles and headed inside the hospital, both Lieutenants at the front.

Dr Rhodes p.o.v:
I walk out of the staff room with Will and we walk over to the nurses station. A few minutes later I see everyone from 51 heading towards the front desk, so I walk over to them, once they see me walk into the waiting room area all eyes are on me."Hey guys, I prosume your here to see Clarke" " Yeah, who is he?", Severide asks me. "Hes stable. The pressure and swelling in his brain has gone down and his vitals have been stable all night. Hes not awake yet but you guys can come see him in a few minutes, after weve moved him out of the ICU and into a more private room" Smiles spread accross their faces just hearing how he is doing. "Ill come get you once hes been moved, oh...and I thought you might want to know that I stayed with him last night incase anything happened" "Thank you, for everything" Matt said shaking my hand. They all went to sit down and I went to move Clarke.

When I got to the ICU I headed straight for Clarke room. We set everything up so he was ready to be moved, when I saw Clarke's eyes open, he then says,"What happened?" "Hey, you're okay your in the ICU, you were working a fire when the floor collapsed underneath you. You had some internal bleeding in your abdomem and had some swelling in the brain, but thats gone down and we fixed the internal bleeding. You may be sore for a few weeks though." Clarke just looked around and nodded. "We're moving you to a private room now, out of the ICU and the 51 is here to see you". "Great thanks doc". We move him to his room and once hes setteled I head for the waiting room. When I walk in everyone stands up and walks over to me. "You can see him now and the good news is that hes awake and talking" a small cheer spread through the group and I lead them to Clarke's room. They all go and I say,"I'll leave you guys to talk", with that I leave the room.

Chases p.o.v:
"Hey, how you feeling" "Like ive fallen through a floor" Clarke replyed making everyone laugh. We stayed talking to him for what felt like hours, before we got a call,'Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61 and 67, 3 car pile up and 24th and lex' with that we all said our goodbyes before rushing to our vehicles. We all jumped into our vehicles and head out of Chicago Med, lights and sirens roaring, towards the scene of the accident.

We head back to the firehouse after the call. When I get there Chief Boden calls both me and Severide into his office. "Guys, come and take a seat. As you both know Squad is now a man down untill Clarke returns, now we can get a sub in if we need to but I was thinking Chase could fill in for Clarke untill his return..now I know youll have to clear a medical Chase but if your do and are happy with this, then thats what well do" " erm..sure Chief I would love to I can go pass my medical between calls if that makes it easier...?" "Thats a great idea Chief, and squad 3 will be happy to have you Chase", Severide says shaking my hand. We leave chief's office. I tell Riley whats happening and we head to to clear my medical.

Later that day:
".......everything looks good here Chase, Im clearing you for Squad duties. Congratulations you can start full duties next shift". I take my papers and shake the doctors hand before leaving the room. When I get back to the house I tell Severide a d then head for the chiefs office. I hand over my papers. He then says, "Congratulations Chase, you start next shift" I shake his hand and thank him, then I leave his office.
