I know what I've said in past chapters, but I've become very confused about the ages and relationship statuses of couples and their children. So, I'm going to go off this. The day the chapter was posted, is the date of the event that happened. Meaning;
Ember Camille Haltstead – Born: 1st Oct 2016
Louie Shay Casey – Born: 18th March 2017
Riley & Chase started dating: 9th August 2016
Mouse & Taylor started dating: 30th December 2016 (that date I changed to make it work)
I know it contradicts chapters I've written in the past, but please go on from here. I hope it makes it clearer! I hope you enjoy from now on

Chases p.o.v:
It's been just over 1 year, well 1 year and 5 days to be precise, since me and Riley started dating. Even before then, we were extremely close friends, I mean, who wouldn't be? We've worked together day in and day out on ambulance for 3 years now. Before then we worked at different firehouses. The past year has been one of the best years of my life. I've never been more happy. Being with Riley makes me feel something that I've never felt before. I feel safe, loved and wanted. I love seeing Riley happy and smiling. I mean, we've had a few arguments, but every couple has them.

I have something special. I want to spend the rest of my life with Riley. Last week I went ring shopping with the Haltstead brother, Jay and Will. It took us a few hours, but we managed to find the one. Luckily for me I already knew Riley's ring size, having brought her a promise ring after the accident. I've been talking to Chief and the lieutenants about setting up a time and a place. I want everyone from firehouse 51, district 21 and Chicago med to be there. They're our family. Sadly Riley's parents won't be there because they passed away when Riley was a teenager. I've got it all planned out. That day I'll be off work, because I have my final check-up after the accident. Riley will be working with Brett and Dawson for the day on ambo 61. Truck 81, Squad 3 and 61 will either be out on a call or a trip to get fuel. After my appointment, I'll go down to the firehouse, in my dress uniform, everyone will be waiting there. When they return from their call out/ refuel, I'll propose to Riley, with all her friends – no family, will be watching.

It's currently early 6:30 am. I awake so that I can see Riley off to work. Right before she leaves, I pull her into my arms.
"I'll miss you" I say, kissing the top of her head.
"Ahh, I'll miss you too. Stop by after your appointment?" She asks me, as we pull apart.
"Yeah. I'll have to talk to chief about my appointment anyways." She nods. I pick up her bag, keys and phone, as she puts on her shoes and jacket, before handing them to her. We kiss one last time before I watch her walk out to her car. She gets in and drives off. I watch her until she turns off of our block. I go back inside, getting ready to leave soon to go to my appointment. I send a quick text to Jay, Will and Chief – that way everyone, from each place knows. I type, Operation C+R forever is a go! 😊 I hit send. I finish my breakfast, before going to get dressed.

At around 9am I leave for the hospital. I have an appointment with Dr Abrams to check that my head is healing. It's my last appointment today, I should get cleared to work on squad. Not that I want to it's just in case they're a man down. You see, it's easier to get a replacement paramedic than it is a replacement squad or truck member. When I get to the hospital, I sign in at reception and wait for my name to be called. I sit, messing around on my phone.
"Chase Dean" The nurse calls. I stand up, putting my phone away and follow her to the exam room. I walk in and sit down. I shake Dr Abrams hand.

Time Skip >>>
Good news is, I was cleared by Dr Abrams, meaning I'm back to full duties. I message everyone, including Riley.
Cleared – Back to full duties – heading to 51 now 😊
It takes me 15 minutes to get from the hospital to 51. When I arrive, all the rigs are gone. I smile before heading to my locker. I change into my dress blues before heading towards Connie.
"Well don't you look smart" She says, standing up. "Thank you, Connie. They out on a call out?" I ask. She nods her head. She reaches forwards and fiddles with my tie.
"Your tie was funny, can't have you looking scruffy in the moment." She says, making me chuckle. I wait in the common room, making chit-chat with Connie, until they arrive back. It's arrange that Kelly, Casey and Dawson are going to film it on their phones. I look up and see the intelligence unit alongside Will and Clarke from Chicago Med, walk in. I smile and Stand up.
"You ready?" Jay asks me, walking forward with his brother, Will.
"Mate, I don't think nervous is the right word. More like terrified" I say, making them laugh. A few minutes later, Squad pulls in, closely followed by truck and ambo 61.
"Now or never I guess" I say, heading to the doors. I see Kelly, Casey and Dawson with their phones out and Brett, positioning a very puzzled Riley into place. Intelligence, Will, Clarke and Connie all walk through the doors. I hear Riley ask,
"What is going on? Why are you all here? Why are you three filming?" She asks, pointing around the room. Only to be ssshh'ed by everyone. I walk out through the door and walk over to Riley.
"what, what are you doing?" She asks, taking my hand. I don't reply, instead, I grab the box out of my pocket and kneel down. Her hands move over her move.

"Riley Shaw Evans, Since the day we first met, I've been in love with you. We've worked together on Ambo for 3 years now. And those 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life. I love watching you laugh and smile, I love seeing you happy. I hurts me when you cry and are upset, but I want to always be there, through the good and the bad times. Since we started dated just over a year ago, we've been through a lot. We were in a car crash together, but it only made us stronger. Then, I was in another car crash. I1m sorry I put you through what I did, but the good news is I got the all clear today." Everyone laughs, and Riley had tears in her eyes. I take her hand in mine.
"What I'm trying to say is, I love you and I always will. I want a future with you, a family. So, Riley Shaw Evans, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?" I say. She's crying a lot now. She nods her head yes.
"Yes!" She shouts. I stand up, placing the ring on her finger. Everyone around us is clapping and cheering. I pull her in for a kiss, before hugging her and spinning her around. Confetti goes off and the clapping gets louder.
"CONGRATULATIONS!!!!" Everyone shouts.
