Previously...

Not a moment later, Antonio Dawson walks down the stairs towards the girl. He instantly recognises her. "Alexa?"

Present Tense...

"How do you know my name?" Alexa asked, a little on edge, I mean who wouldn't be in this situation?   "I'm Detective Dawson, I'm working the case you're involved in. We managed to ID you from a CCTV camera near the incident. Do you want to come upstairs?...Its okay your safe here with us" Antonio says, walking over to Alexa and picking up her bag. Alexa nods in reply and follows Antonio up the stairs. He buzzes through the gate, before continuing up the stairs, Alexa turns and thanks Sargent Platt before heading up to Intelligence.

We she gets up there, all eyes are on her, until Erin steps forwards. Noticing how uneasy Alexa is she leads Alexa into the break room, away from the others.                "Hey, look at me Its going to be okay, yeah? Your safe with us and we WILL solve this case....but you do have to go into protective custody" Alexa nods along  to what Erin is saying, untill she hears the last part.                       "What does that mean?",Alexa asks, looking at Erin.       "It means, youll have to live with someone from Intelligence untill this case is solved. It will probably be Antonio becasue youve already met him and he actually has the ideal home and neigbourhood." Erin says, trying to comfort Alexa. After talking for awhile Erin leaves Alexa in the break room with some snacks and a laptop. She sits at her desk whilst the others talk through what information they already have.

A few hours later...
Antonio walks into the break room, to find Alexa crashes out on the sofa. He chickles a little before walking over to her and gently shaking her awake. She groans before sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "Hey sleepyhead its time to go home" Antonio says, picking up Alexa's bag. Alexa gets up and they walk out of the breakroom together. They say goodnight to the others before heading down to Antonios truck. "Why arent the others leaving?" Alexa asks, as the get into the truck. Antonio starts the truck and pulls away. "They arent leaving becasue theyre trying to solve this case as quickly as possible, so you can get back to living a normal life" Alexa rolls her eyes, normal, right. Half the journey is spent in silence untill Antonio speaks up.
"So, why were you not at school or home today?" "Erm...I was heading to a hotel. I couldnt spend another day in that foster home, and I only have a few weeks untill I turn 16. After that Im free from foster care." "Wow...okay. What was wrong with your foster home?" Antonio said as they pulled into his street. Alexa sighed.  "Its...complicated. Can we talk about this tommorow? Im really tired." Antonio nodded, not wanting to push Alexa. He lead them inside and showed Alexa to the guest room. Alexa walked in and sat down on the bed.      "So this is your room, theres a bathroom through that door and my room is just down the hall on the left if you need anything just come wake me up, whatever time it is okay?" Antonio said, showing Alexa around.                       "Thanks" Alexa said as Antonio left her alone. Just before Antonio left Alexa spoke up.                                      "Hey Antonio, thanks...for all this. Its means alot, I, I never really had anyone care before" Antonio smiled at Alexa before shutting Alexas door and walking into his own room. He sat reading on his bed, listening to Alexa moving about. Around half an hour later, Alexa went to sleep slowly followed by Antonio.
