Taylor's p.o.v:
I woke up at 6am, like I do everyday, but today felt different. I don't know why, but it did. Pushing the odd feeling aside I got up and showered before getting dressed. I went downstairs and got some coffee. I put some toast on and sat at the kitchen counter flicking through social media.  My toast popped and I got up to get it. I had just put it on a plate when my phone started ringing. "Hello Taylor Quince speaking" "Hi Taylor Sargent Hank Voight here from CPD intelligence. I'm calling you, to offer you a job as a tech person in our unit.." "ermm..I'd love that" "That's great, come to the 21st District at 8am tomorrow morning and ask for Sargent Voight and I'll get you set up" "Thank you sir, see you then" I hung up the phone and practically screamed. I rushed out to meet up with my bestie Alexis and tell her the good news.

The next day:
Mouses p.o.v:
Jay spent the night and Erin's last night, of course as he does most nights, so I decided to head into work early to finish off some work stuff. I got dressed and ready and headed out the front door.
10 minutes later I pulled up outside the district. It was around 7:45am and it wasn't that busy yet. I got out my car and started to walk inside. I saw this young women, who may I add looked amazing! I saw it before she did and before I know it I was racing forwards to catch her.

Taylor's p.o.v:
For some reason I suddenly started to get really nervous. I mean I've had jobs in the past but nothing like this...nothing like working for one of the best units in Chicago!

I was walking towards the district, I would have drove but my car was in the shop. It was winter in Chicago..so of course it was snowy and icy. I'm normally really careful, but today I guess I felt like I was in a rush. It all happened before I could react. I walked over a patch of ice and I slipped, but before I hit the floor I felt a pair of strong arms catch me.

"Oh my gosh, thank you!" "Its no problem Miss..?" "Oh Quince but you can call me Taylor" "Okay Taylor its nice to meet you, Im Greg but everyone calls me mouse" This guy keeps getting better and better.  "Its nice to meet you too Mouse...thanks and all but Ive got to go Im meeting Sargent Voight at th district" "oh your Taylor as in the new tech person in our unit, Ill be your partner". OMG I thought this day couldnt possibly get any better, first I meet this really cute guy, who stops me falling over, and now I get to work with him!!

Later that day at the district:
Anyones p.o.v:
Voight and Taylor walked up the stairs and into the office area. Voight got everyones attention, "okay everyone, this is Taylor Quince, she'll be working along side Mouse as well our tech people. Make her feel welcome and get all you paper work finished by the end of the day." He turned and shook Taylors hand and with that he walked into his office.

Erin stood up and walked over to Taylor. "Its great to finally have another girl around here, Im Erin Lindsay, this is Antonio Dawson, Adam Ruzek, Jay Haltstead, Al Olinsky, Kevin Outwater and our other tech person, Mouse" She said pointing around the room to everyone. "Ehh, yeah me a Mouse already met this morning, he kind of saved me from slipping on ice" Mouse smiled and went back to working on his computer. Ruzek sat up and said, "so Taylor, tell us about yourself" "emm, okay. My full name is Taylor Quince, I wass born and bred here in Chicago and Ive worked as a teck person for around 3 years now" Everyone looked impressed.

They all talked for a little while, after that the gradually all got back to work. Mouse and Taylor were downstairs in the tech area.

Mouses p.o.v:
"So Taylor, how you liking working at district 21?" I said smiling at her, turning in my chair. "Yeah...well for the 4 ish hours Ive been here its great" She says laughing a little. Can I just say, her laugh is wonderful. "How long have you been working here? You seem to be realy close with Jay.." She asks me. "Well, long story short me and Jay were in the army together and alot happened and he pulled me out of a rough patch after we came home and Ive been working here ever since then and that was 3 1/2 years ago" "oh so you two are close then, glad to see your okay now...you know or you wouldnt have caught me this morning, and we wouldnt be working together now. Anyways..." She looks away abit looking embarrassed.

"Hey Taylor, what are you doing later, want to come out for a drink to celebrate your first day?" I say standing up to put something away. I lean on the bookcase waiting for her to reply. She smiles, "are you, are you asking me out on a date Mouse?" "I suppose I am" I say wondering if I shouldn't have. "Well then Mouse, I would love to" Wait what?..she actualy said yes? This day couldnt get any better. "Okay then, how about I pick you up around 7?" "7 sounds perfect Ill see you then" She says smiling walking away.

Taylors p.o.v:

OMG! Mouse just asked me out and I said yes! This day has be awesome! After saying yes to  Mouse I left the district early because I didn't have to stay for a full day as it was my get to know people day. After talking with Sargent Platt for a while I left the district and started the few block walk back to my apartment. As I was walking I looked at my clock and saw that it was well past lunch time and the only thing I had eaten was my breakfast, so I decided to pop into the corner shop on my way home. And boy was that a mistake. I walked round the shop for a few minutes thinking what I might like to eat when there a loud bang! The door had been kicked open and there were people shouting at the front of the store. I looked and saw they had guns! I knew they hadn't seen me yet so I quietly snuck into a cupboard at the back of the shop. I shut the door slowly and got my phone out of my pocket. I rushed through my contacts and texted Mouse.

(T = Taylor , M= Mouse)

T- I NEED HELP!!

Come on Mouse! Answer! He tried to call me but I quickly declined it before it even rang, luckily it was on silent. 

T- Cant answer call! Have to be quiet

It seemed like ages before her replied but when he did I could tell he was worried.

M- Taylor what's wrong?

T- I was walking home and decided to pop into a corner shop to get something to eat and these men with guns showed up! Mouse I don't know what the shop is called can you track my phone?

M- Already on that and I'm going to go tell Voight...stay quiet are you somewhere safe?

T- Okay, and yes I hid in a cupboard they didn't even see me! But I'm really scared Mouse what if they find me?

He didn't reply straight away.. I assumed he went to tell Voight.

Mouses p.o.v:

I ran up to tell Voight once I found out where she was. "VOIGHT!!" I shouted when I reached the top of the stairs. Everyone looked at me with worried and confused looks on their faces, they tried to talk to me but I ignored them and carried on towards Voight's office. "Mouse?! What's wrong? calm down" by this point everyone was standing around us. "Its Taylor she's and the Oldies corner shop 2 blocks from here and there people with guns robbing the store" "Everyone gear up! We're rolling out in 2 minutes!" Everyone ran off to gear up whilst I stayed with Voight. I looked down at my phone I saw I had a text from Taylor.

T- Okay, and yes I hid in a cupboard they didn't even see me! But I'm really scared Mouse what if they find me?

M- Taylor you okay, Voight and the team are coming now. I promise your going to be fine and we can still go out tonight.

T- okay, and thank you

M- I really like you Taylor okay...and you'll be okay, okay?

T- Okay...and I like you a lot too

M- I have to go but Ill see you soon okay?

T- Okay..

I tuned to Voight, "I wanna come with you!" "N..Okay but you have to were a vest and you have to stay in the car until its over... you'll ride with me" "Thank you Sarg" He hands me a vest and we run down to the cars. Voight call Sargent Platt on the way to tell her what's happening. I'm looking out the window when I hear Voight say.."You like Taylor don't you got her to keep calm and normally you wouldn't want to come" OMG! Did Sargent Hank Voight really just ask me that??? "Ermm..I really do and she likes me too...is that a problem?" "I excepted Erin and Jay...as long as you keep up the good work and keep it professional at work then yes... Look Mouse I've seen you at your worst and your best and I think this will be good for you...but if you tell anyone we had this conversation it will be a different story" "Yes Sarg, thank you Sarg means a lot"

We pull up at the store minutes later. Voight and the others group together and form a plan whilst I sit in the car waiting...

Taylors p.o.v:

I peek through the door to see what was happening. I saw 3 groups of terrified people and 4 people with guns. I heard sirens outside and sighed with relief. It all happened so quickly after that. The gunman tried to make an escape out the back and of course they walked right into my cupboard. The leader grabbed me round my neck and dragged me to the front of the store and out the door.  "I have a hostage and if you don't let us go Ill kill her!!" He shouted to the others. I could see everyone lookimg at me except Jay. I knew Jay was good at using a sniper so I secretly eyed the surrounding buildings until I saw him... seconds later there was a red dot on the mans chest. The others were surrounded with police officers and Voight was shouting to let me go. This guy wouldn't budge, so Voight gave Jay the order, seconds later a single shot rang out and the pressure around my neck was gone. Everyone was rushing towards me and I just took a few steps forwards a knelt down onto the ground.

I dint know who it was at first but I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see it was Mouse. THANK GOD!! "Are you okay?" He asked me but I just looked at him before I started crying he pulled into his arms for the second time that day and quietly whispered things into my ear like 'shh' and 'you're okay its over now' and hearing those words come from Mouse really calmed me down. I stilled hadn't spoken but I had stopped crying.

Jay dropped me home along with Mouse who insisted he come to keep me company and make sure I'm okay...and Heck I was hardly going to say no! I opened the door and we went in and sat on the couch. "Thank you Mouse" "Taylor I would anything to keep you safe" I smiled at him and we decided to order some pizza.

We found some good movies and spent the rest of the evening cuddled up on the couch eating pizza and talking. There couldn't be a better way to end the day I've had. I fell asleep in Mouse's arms.

Mouses p.o.v:

Sitting here with Taylor and watching movies whilst eating pizza is something that I really like and knowing that shes safe really helps. I look down and see Taylor asleep in my arms. She looks so peaceful and cute. Knowing she's happy I slowly drift off to sleep myself.

Okay guys its out! Sorry its been so long just had a lot going on lately but I hope you really enjoy this chapter and Its the longest one I've written yet!
