Kellys p.o.v:

Its my first shift back after the death of Jake. I had a few days off to get my mind sorted and to deal with everything that happened that day. I've had a few flashback/nightmares about that day but they seem to be getting better and I feel ready to go back to work. I wake up at 06:00 am and take a quick shower. I get dressed into my uniform and put some clothes into my back and go to the kitchen. I make some coffee and leave for work. I arrive at the firehouse and 06:45.

I get out of my car and slowly head towards the firehouse. I take a minutes outside to take a few deep breathes before I head inside. I walk into the locker room and put my bag into my locker. That's when Casey and Gabby walk in. "Hey Kelly, glad to see you back" Gabby says giving me a hug. Me and Matt shakes hands. "Yeah I'm glad to be back" I leave them to get changed and I head towards the common room to get some breakfast.

The first few hours of shift fly by without any calls except for ambo. Its around 2pm when our first call comes in...'Truck 81, Sqaud 3, Ambulance 61 and 67 2 car accident at the corner of west ruzack street' We all stand up and run to the trucks. We gear up and pile into the trucks before heading to the scene.

When we pull up on scene we can clearly see that one car is worse off than the other. "Casey send 2 men over to car one everyone on car 2 we've got 4 people inside!" "Copy that Severide!" We all rush over to the car and see a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, all whom are stuck in the upside down car. I brake a window and climb down next to it I manage to free the kids and they climb out, only with a few scrapes. I climb inside the car and emobilise their necks. We free them and get them out. We get them into the ambulances and off to hospital. I have to admit it feels great to have saved a family today. We pack up the equipment and head back to the firehouse.

Erins p.o.v:

Its around 12:30pm and me and Jay are in bed when I suddenly awaken feeling this tight pain across my back and stomach. I try to go back to sleep but cant because the pain just keeps getting worse. Eventually I wake jay up. "Jay! wake up!" I say shaking him, "what? is everything okay?" He asks siting up straight sounding very concerned. "Its time" "What do you mean its time?" he ask slightly flustered. "The baby is coming!" "oh okay come on we've got to get you to the hospital" he says helping me up. He gets dressed after helping me downstairs. He picks up the already packed hospital bag and walks me to the car. He helps me inside before getting into the drivers seat. He switches on the sirens before speeding away to the hospital. We arrive at Chicago med 10 minutes later and Jay gets Will to take me in straight away. Once I'm settled in a room Jay goes to phone Voight and the others to let them know what's happening.

6 long hours later....

"Come on Erin you can do this!" Jay says to me as I push and squeeze his hand. A few pushes later and our baby's cry's fill the room. The clean both me and her up before placing her onto my chest. "Jay.. shes beautiful." "Yeah she is and shes ours" he says kissing her head. "we need to name her.." Jay says looking at me. "okay I have a middle names that I think we should use...Camille" "That's perfect, I was thinking Ember for the first name.." "Jay its amazing...Ember Camille Haltstead.." "I love it" Jay says taking a sleeping Ember and placing her in her cot. Not long after that I fall asleep.

Jays p.o.v:

Erin fell asleep a little while ago so I decided to let everyone know about our baby. I took a picture of Ember asleep in her cot and set it to everyone with the caption, 'Welcome to the world, Ember Camille haltstead!" Everyone gradually replies with congratulation and celebration messages. I sit here slowly falling asleep, thinking how great my life is...I mean I have the perfect job, perfect girl and now I have the perfect family..
