I walk out of the waitng room and head over to the nurses station to find out if Chases test results are back.

Dr Will Haltstead p.o.v:
When I get to the nurses station I pick up the tablet with Chases chart on it and I see that his test results are back. I read through them before heading to give Chase his results. I knock on the window before walking into Chases room. "Okay so I got your test results and they show that you have 2 cracked ribs and you also have severe tissue damage in your knee. Your ribs will heal in a few weeks but your knee will take a few months at best including physiotherapy. Other than that you have a small concusion and we want to admit you for a few days for observation and pain management". "Okay...I guess it could've been worse. Have you heard anything on Riley?" "Not yet but Ill go pop up to the OR and see hows shes doing for you. Oh...and April will move you to another ward where you'll be staying amd Ill go update 51 once I let you know about Riley" "okay, Thanks Will" I smile and say,"just doing my job" as I walk out of the room. I head straight for the elevators to check on Riley in the OR.

I get to Riley's OR and press the intercome button, "Hows she doing Rhodes?" "Ehh...shes stable, I've managed to stop the bleeding and Im just fixing the leeks, BP is normal again and she'll be in recovery withing the next hour" "Okay thats great, Im going to go update Chase and the others can you page me when shes in Recovery?" "Yeah sure, also tell them she'll be in the ICU for a few days untill shes out of the woods" "ok will do" with that I head downstairs to update the others. I go to Chase first, "Okay so I've spoken to Dr Rhodes and he's managed to stop the bleeding and Rileys stable. She'll in recovery within the next hour and after that she'll be in the ICU untill she completely out of the woods" Chase sighs with relief at this news. "Okay, April here is going to take you to your new room whilst I, go update the others and then Ill bring them to see you. Oh...and Rhodes said he'll page me once Rileys in the ICU" "okay thanks..again" I turn around and head straight for the waiting room.

I walk over to the group from 51, "Okay Chases results came back and they show that he has 2 cracked ribs and severe tissue damage to his right knee. His ribs will take a few weeks to heal, and his knee, including phototherapy, his knee will take a few months to heal" Severide steps forwards and speaks for everyone, "That great to hear, and hows Riley?" "I spoke to Dr Rhodes a few minutes again and he said that shes stable and they've stopped the bleeding, she'll be in recovery within the hour and then she'll spend a few days in the ICU untill shes out of the woods. You can go see Chases now and Rhods and I will come see you once Rileys in the ICU." "Okay thanks Will, for everything" "no problem I have someone show you to Chase." I walk out of the waiting room and up to recovery to see if Riley is out of surgery yet.

I arrive up in recovery just as my pager goes off, fun enough it Dr Rhodes telling me Rileys in recovery. I arrive in Rileys bay just after the page and see Dr Rhodes checking her obs. He sees me and then we step outside. "Everything's looking good, shes stable, we were just about to move her to the ICU and then we can go update everone" "okay, dont mind if I tag along do you?" I say with a little laugh, " No" we head back into Rileys bay and unlock the breaks to her bed. We wheel her to the elevator and then up to the ICU. We get her setteled and retake her obs before heading to Chases room to update everyone. Once there we see that everyone from 51 is there and are now in normal clothes, meaning they're off shift. We knock before walking inside. Dr Rhodes speaks, "Rileys stable in the ICU, as you know we managed to stop jer imternal bleeding and fix the damage. She stable now but she'll have to stay in the ICU for a few days untill shes out of the woods. But for now Chase and one other can go see her. Now normally only two people  are aloud at a time, but weve made an exceltion for you guys, but for now only two people untill she wakes up" Chases the. Says, "Thanks you Rhodes" "Sure problem now I can take you to the ICU to see her if you want.." He nods and I go grab a wheelchair.

Chases p.o.v:
I get wheeled into Rileys room and im so happy to know shes going to be okay but at the same time I hate seeing her like this. They wheel next to her bed and I take her hand in mine. "Hey Rileys, its me Im fine but you need to wake up, I need to see your beautiful eyes....I was so affraid that I had lost you today...but..but I know your strong" I say placing a kiss in her hand. I dont even notice that Im quietly crying.

A few hours later...
I dont know how long its been but I havent left Riley once. I guess I must have fallen asleep..next thing I know I feel a hand tighten around mine, I look up to see Rileys eye slowly open. "Chase..? What happened?" "Hey..its okay Ri, your okay just relax. Your in hospital, we had a car accident. But we're both okay and everythings going to be fine." "I love you Chase..." I kiss her and then say, "I love you too Riley..and no one or nothing can change that" I spend the rest of the night with her, happy shes awake, and happy that everthings going to be okay.
