My mind kept drifting to what happened with her and mom, like what happened in the past that I don't know, as I move my covers off me I see glossaryck floating over me "Can't sleep?" I groan but I needed answers on moms past "Glossaryck, what happened between mom and aspen?" He chuckles and rolls his eyes

"I thought you didn't want to hear my lies and stuff?" I roll my eyes and grab him "This is important, I must know what exactly happened that caused aspen to hurt, so please tell me" I begged and he scoffs and escapes my hand "Fine, it all started when your mother was 14 years old.."

Past~
Young and beautiful, was what everyone said in the kingdom of mewni, there she was, Princess Moon Butterfly a royal to be Queen in a couple more years, yet she never seemed to be happy, she would force her smiles whenever her family was around but behind closed doors she alone and sad until one day a girl around her age came and made her life a little better..'Aspen' the girls became best of friends until they both turned 19 when moon was crowned Queen she had to marry but her bestie had other plans

"Aspen, I could get into trouble what would people say or think of me? I'm a ruler now not a little kid anymore" aspen didn't care, she was just another commoner and didn't matter in the royal stature "Live a little, and trust me he's a perfect match for you, I've seen the way you are around him" Moon had eyes for another man, a monster to be exact..but it was against the rules and had to marry for trades and goods "I don't want to ruin my image, you can leave me out of it"

as the best friends grew more into young ladies, that's when it hurt the most between the two, Moon married River on her 23rd birthday and aspen was no where to be found, it was for the best being friends with someone who could ruin you isn't a good choice even if they were your friend, a letter was written to River and it was spoken about moons affair with the man she had eyes for, but moon stopped it as soon she fell for River, she reassured everyone including her husband that it was a long time ago, when her image started to go down,

she had no choice and confront aspen, when the two met aspen matured into a beautiful woman and it's because of a deal she made with wizard, the woman that never looks a day over Twenty "Oh dear moon, please forgive me for what I've done, I didn't mean to write that letter..oh wait a second, I did" Moon was furious that she struck aspen with her wand, when her anger subsided her hair was down and in a mess and was weak as she looked up at aspen who didn't have a scratch

"Thought it was that easy  come on moon we practiced everyday when we were kids, can't handle the pressure of using your powers, can't do it Huh? Not fit to be what a queen you should be?" Moon had enough and struck her again and tied her up and looked at her with her mewberty eyes, she saw all the hate in her heart, the shame, the regret in her once friends heart "Nice shot, finish me already"

Moons eyes returned back to her indigo blue eyes and shook her head "That would make me less, as I grow old you will too but your heart will always be black as coal, I'll leave you alone but never come across me or my future child ever again" Moon had a serious tone as she held her stomach, she new she couldn't really fight, as you see she was carrying life...
End of flashback~

"So you see kid, aspen has been cold hearted since the day your mother confronted her,when she was pregnant with you when everything went downhill, Aspen kept her distance until she finally saw you older and around the age she and moon were, she's never going to change no matter what" I looked over at my wand and him "Maybe I can beat her" he laughs "Aspen has magic that has kept her looking young for years, you'll need a miracle and especially when your wand only has half it's star" I sigh and looked back at him

"Well what else am I supposed to do? I can't tell mother she'll kill me before she gets to aspen" he chuckles "If I were you, I'll just tell your mom, she has to listen to you and especially if someone is messing with her kin, after years later?" I nodded but was I really gonna risk it? Maybe? I don't know if I should after all it was kinda of a scandal.. "I have a plan.."
