Jack's POV

It was just another day by Beacontown. Nothing interesting was going down and I was just leaning my figure towards the counter. I let out a sigh of boredom as I looked over at Nurm. My longtime pal. I wanted action to happen this moment. At the moment, I was disappointed. I mean come on, there could be better things happening by the mountains of Na'pow. " Hurrr.." Nurm looked At me while raising an eyebrow. He was asking if I knew what to do. Ofcourse I didn't know what to do! I'm bored here!

Nurm walked away from his map making table and stepped outside the emporium. Curious, I followed him. " Nurm? Where are you going? " I asked curiously, Sweating just as my tanned skin made contact with the fiery sun.

Sometimes I wish it was winter. The villager gave a happy smile as he led me to the storage room of the whole shop. Huh? There was an empty tank? What the? What would a tank be doing here?

" You seriously keep the weirdest of things Nurm. " I jokingly insulted whilst taking the empty tank in my hands. He rolled his eyes and just went back inside, he was clearly angry at that. I would need to apologize to him later...

Heheh. Hm, what could I do with an empty tank? I guess I could fill it up with water? So that's what I did, I went to the emporium's sink and filled the glass cage up. Fresh cold water. I stared desperately at the now filled up tank.

How was I burning up this fast?

" Well, now the tank is filled, now what? "I asked my villager friend. He didn't seem to bothered to answer my question as he simply shrugged.  Nurm....

I put the tank down and sighed. I touched my forehead and yep! I was right,

I burning up again. What's up with Summer this year? I walked over to the break room and grabbed an ice pack. Good thing I kept these congealed im this tiny freezer. I decided to grab a bit of Ice when I was out exploring the ice spikes biome.

Once I came back to my counter, I see a stream of water, or rather a sphere of water right on top of the tank. My eyes widened. How was-?! I couldn't believe it! Were my eyes fooling me? The water was clearly out of the tank! It was above it! How is this possible?! Nurm heard my gasp of concern and stepped in.

His eyes widened too. Though once his loud and swift footsteps were heard,

that sphere of water fell to the ground. My red carpet was soaked.

I looked around a bit and saw a girl, standing shyly by the door. I must admit, a rather lovely looking damsel. Was she responsable or what just happened?

Is she a child born from the depths of the sea? I didn't really know. " Hi....can I help you? " I asked, still stunned. The girl didn't respond. She looked like the shy type. I stepped closer to her and grinned. "dont worry, friend. I don't bite "

I say jokingly. Her lips stayed still. In a neutral smile, not one of terror nor of happiness.

" Miss, do you actually need anything? " i asked once again. Don't rage Jack....it's just a shy innocent lady. Maybe she's new here and didn't know where the leader's abode was. Maybe I could help her out? " Miss, If you refuse to speak I- " but I was cut off by a strong and beautiful voice. " Sorry, Im Jane. Nice to meet you " she hid her hand behind her back. I rubbed my chin as more questions flooded through me about this girl. I'd like to know more about her. And her magic abilities but I feel as if I'm invading her personal life. She doesn't seem like the type to open up to others quickly. I guess I'd have to earn  her trust.

" I'm the stabwalker. But you can call me Jack. Pleasure to meet ya " I smiled. Nurm waved as he heard us having a little conversation. I pointed at him. " That's my other half, Nurm. An excellent map maker " I give the villager a slight amount- ok a lot of credit. Jane seemed pleased.

But once again, she didn't say a word.

" So what brings you to Beacontown? Travelling? " i arranged a few materials to give to her. A few torches and some wood. Unfortunately, she refused my offer and took out some better materials from her inventory.

" No thanks. I was out mining earlier. There were a few caves by my favourite pond so why not? " she chuckled putting the crafting table, furnace and iron back in her inventory. I crossed my arms happily.

My heart was racing. Was I?.....d-developing feelings for this magical girl right here? Do I even meet up with her standards? I don't think so. Haha. I'm just a rusty old traveller who has an icy heart. But- maybe.....she could wash my coldness away. I could see us being good friends. I blushed as I faced her once again.

" Hey, wanna hang out sometime? "
