The two werewolves climbed out of the hole, as a panting mess. It came out as a shock when the mobs literally spawned out of nowhere. They thought for a second they'd be goners despite being experienced warriors for years. Plus, it would take maybe a dozen years for Petra to give up. Her only soft spot was Jesse. If he was wounded, she couldn't help but retreat. However, the opposite occurred. The gingerhead werewolf frowned, her esrs lowering then whimpered as more of the cerise liquid dripped from her cheek. Her palm naturally raised to touch her injury but stopped when she realized the alpha of Beacontown was looking at her. His emerald eyes were inescapable. Each time that her own black ones fell into his, she felt like she did something wrong. Criminal or not.

"Petra." He spoke out to her, recovering from his exhaustion. The girl huffed and wiped the blood escaping the gash with a finger. The blood puddle was ofcourse larger in size than the finger she used. When she pulled her palm back down, her finger was all bloody and some excess blood even fell out of it. She sighed in guilt. "It's fine, like I said earlier it's just a cut Jesse." She reassured the boy. Those words may seem like she was trying to help him but something about them, they were unconvincing. Jesse approached her and inspected the wound, not getting shy at all to go closer if needed.

Petra however, walked back. Obviously surprised with his unexpected action.
"Don't tell me you'll pull off a theatre play. Trust me, that's all I need right now." She reminded him slightly annoyed. There was a brief silence before Jesse nodded. "I'm not. But I did notice that wound is rather deep. If we don't get it treated, you might get infected." He told her. The girl froze into time when he said the last word. 'Infected'. Oh notch, did she recall some memories. She was the one infected with Wolfsbane sickness years ago. "Trust me, the experience wasn't fun." She blurted out. Though instead of questioning her, Jesse nodded again. "I know that Petra. We both know that. That's why I suggest we go get some bandages. " he begged rather desperately, his gloved palm wiping-or more so smudging some blood off her gash. Petra let out a small hiss of pain when the cold artifact came in contact with her fragile and injured cheek.
It left a short trail of red.

"Why are you so worried anyways? Not like I'm gonna die." She scoffed and turned her eyes towards the massive uncovered hole just being left out in the open. Jesse crossed his arms and lifted a brow. "What question is that? You're my friend, ofcourse I'd be worried." He admitted, a slight hint of pink forming on his tanned cheeks. Petra shook her head and sighed: "if I say I'm fine, I'm fine. Just please understand that." She bent down and let her hands dig through her inventory. She looked for blocks that she could use to cover this
dangerzone up. Jesse walked closer to her and offered a stack of cobblestone.
"I'll give you these blocks in condition that when we arrive in ChampionCity, you'll get bandages." He grinned at the offer.

Petra stood there in shock, jaw dropped and eyes widened as she was torn between the choice. Her black eyes lowered to the blocks in Jesse's hand then she lifted her head back up to close her mouth. "I-I....ugh. Don't think you've won yet Jesse. I'm doing this because...it's my friendly act of the day." She shook her head unwillingly and grabbed the blocks from his hand. The boy watched as the girl began filling the hole quickly, even daring to mumble a few jokingly threats. He simply chuckled and his brown tail wagged in satisfaction.

Atleast she was gonna be alright. She won't pass out of blood loss nor will any Beacontowners or champion city folk end up in the same caves as they've been in.

A/N Sooooo, why was this one shorter than usual? Well honestly, I had no idea how to fit a Jetra scene in Chapter 5! XD But I asked a friend or mine to give me a number so that I could fiddle through the chapter and search for any scenes. Yeah, that chapter was disappointing but i managed to pull this out in 20 mins! It's around 600 words. Hope you guys like it despite it being short! Also may I address that this is the 90th Oneshot?
