Dechi's POV

Today will be exciting! Me and the elements will be going camping! I'm extremely hyped. It was about time that we all got some sort of vacation. I mean, we saved an entire village from being destroyed by the guts of the unelements. Even from all the bad they caused, I...still give them a second chance. They were just three individuals blinded by power. So me and the elements gave them access to see how beautiful life can be when you can actually see it. They all had different reactions, evil intentions finally leaving.

Kori felt happy, finally he could be free to use his ice powers for actual good this time. Yami thought that this was one of the most emotional time for him, in his life, there was no such thing as 'happy ending ' in his entire existence. Last, Hikari, the most cold-blooded element of the group, guilt finally rushed through her. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard these simple words: " We forgive you. "

I giggled to myself remembering those good times. I am glad that we're good people. Always ready to help someone if they need it. That's what we do. Since,

" Love is the most powerful element ". I, don't think someone should live in this world without love being by their side. I snapped into reality and saw Mizu looking at me.

" Dechi why were you giggling? " he asked me. I turned red, trying to find an excuse. It was weird to laugh for no reason! And if i told him about saving the world, he's just gonna scold at me for thinking these things. He would say:

" Listen girl, we're on break from world saving. So if you have any more heroic thoughts, let them loose right now "

" Well, i was just thinking of how pretty nature is. " I turned my attention to a beautiful oak tree right beside me. I felt bad for lying, but I just didn't want to get in trouble. Actually, I'd get in even more trouble if he knew the truth.

Mizu gazed at the tree. " It really is beautiful isn't it " he smiled. I nodded and put my hand on the tree's core. I could feel it's heart beating of joy. That made me smile brightly. There's aspects of nature that I just simply adore.

I heard footsteps behind me, it must surely be the others. Kasai, Kuki And Raito.

They all were equipped with hikers backpacks that had their core colours.

Same goes for me and Mizu. " Are you guys sure that we need to stay away from the town? Away from the temple? " Kasai Asked worriedly. I can definitely tell that he was getting home-sick already.

" Well, I mean it wouldn't really be a vacation if we were close to the town and temple " Mizu pointed out. Kasai crossed his arms. " Well whatever , as long as Dechi is happy, then I'm happy " he replied shortly. I smiled and wrapped an arm around him. He always brightened my day, for some odd reason. I was more than happy that Kasai could come. Our elements may not logically get along since hence, fire and nature but I'm glad I met my friend my serious, protective, caring and sometimes hot-headed friend.

Kuki observed the cliff in the distance. " do you think it was best that we left the unelements in charge of the temple and the whole town? I mean, they nearly destroyed that vulnerable city! " he exclaimed loudly. It wasn't really much of a trait for him to be loud but when he does, he means business. "honestly, what Kuki is saying makes sense. Was it really a great choice? "Raito butted in. His attention was fixed on Kasai, who backed away.

He got the sort of pointing fingers vibe. " Don't look at me, Dechi Megami made all the choice making " he said cautiously, as if he didn't want me to get punished in between. Raito looked at me with the ' talk ' expression. I gulped.

" Come on guys, they're not that bad. I'm sure they won't disappoint us. " i Said in their defence. Kasai huffed.

" If they do, you owe me another chapter of your Desai fanfic- " he whispered.

My eyes widened as I realized what he just said. After processing that, I began laughing. Kuki, Mizu And Raito all looked at me. " What's wrong? " they all ask.

Kasai was all red and I was still on my laughter spree. Their eyes narrowed at the fire element. " Kasai, what did you do? " they inquired, upset. The boy summoned his wings and flapped one gently in a: ' go away ' motion.

Once I was giggle- free, I coughed and looked at the boys. " Ok ok, it's not Kasai's fault. Can we just set up camp and explore the hills? They seem to have a exquisite view " I commented. They all sighed and nodded. " Sure."

We started walking up the rocky passage leading to the hills. I crossed my arms and still had one thought on my mind but didnt dare question it to the others.

" What are the unelements doing at the moment? "

No one's POV

-Meanwhile with the unelements-

Hikari gave a confident grin. The whole living room was turned into a movie theatre. The kitchen looked like it's for a cooking competition, the guests bedrooms were transformed with the influence of their own elements. They didn't dare touch the elements's bedrooms since Kasai will probably kick their butts and finally for Dechi's meditation room, Kori installed a huge ice rink in the center. Now the temple was to their liking.

" So what are we watching first? " the leader of the unelements asked, grabbing the remote and turned the movie box on. Yami, who was on the couch, had his phone in hands, he seemed interested into a sort of novel. Kori was playing with the snow globe, wishing that it was still winter. Hikari's eye twitched as no one answered to her question. "will you guys answer?! " she snapped, throwing the remote at Yami. The boy flinched turned the lights off on reflex. The girl growled. " Seriously Yami?! "She clapped her hands to turn the lights back on.

" Sorry, it's a reflex. " he apologized. Hikaki rolled her eyes and huffed. " What are you even reading anyways? From a fake fantasies website? " she mocked.

The boy shook his head and lifted his head to face the girl. "no actually, it's a site called Wattpad and I'm reading Desai. " he admitted. Kori laughed in the background. "Will you stop breaking the fourth wall?! Geez! " Hikari crossed her arms. Yami laughed at his turn. "I'm sure Dechi already broke the fourth wall earlier today "

The conversation continued between Kori and Yami since Hikari couldn't handle it anymore. She sighed and looked at the movie selections.

" Fine, we're watching wonder woman then. "

-Back with the elements-

Dechi's POV

It was soon nightfall and I was sitting by the end of the cliff. All the stars were sticked on the sky, as if this was all a pretty painting. The twinkles were dancing around. Plus, air was gliding through my hair. This was a unforgettable night. Too bad that the three couldn't see it. Raito, Mizu and Kuki. They were all fast asleep. Atleast they're all sleeping safe and sound. I wouldn't want an unexpected ambush to just leap at us.

My hand trembled as I felt a stab to the back. No I must not think of that. Not now, where we're free from break. But the memories and shock that happened.

" Kasai! ", " What did you do to him?! ", " Admin! Secret Art! ". All these voices, all these noises, they all replayed in my mind. I stood up and clenched my fist.

Why were all these memories wrapped around my mind now? Why couldn't it have attacked a week ago?

" Dechi! " I turned around and saw Kasai still sitting by the bonfire. Oh right, he wasn't sleeping. I sighed and looked at him. He seemed worried but I gestured him to come closer to me. He agreed and walked towards the edge of the cliff.

If one wrong move happens, we fall instantly. He wrapped an arm around my shoulder. " Anything wrong? You seem troubled Megami. " he said. I blushed at the sudden nickname he called me. I was used to him calling me 'Dechi' not my second name. But it truly was a shock.

" It's nothing Kasai. Really. I think I'm just awfully tired " I told him. He stopped looking at me and observed the sky even more. " are you sure? You don't seem tired. " he made sure. I nodded. " yeah, I just...need rest. " I tried to pull a reassuring smile. Kasai smiled back and wrapped his arms around me.

" Well alright. Just know that if you need something, I'm always gonna be there, ok? " he led me to my tent. I gave a shocked look.

" You're not going to bed? You don't need to stay up just for me. I assure you. "

I gave a pleading look. I'm not worth it. He doesn't need to stay up just for me.

Y'know, Kasai was something else. He was different from the other elements and In fact, anyone I ever met in my life. There was one thing for sure, i really loved him. Wait, what is happening? Did I just say the ' L ' word?

This isn't possible, maybe I really am tired. I looked at Kasai one more time and hugged him. He hugged me back and shut his eyes. " Take some rest Dechi Megami. You deserve it. " he whispered in my ear. I smiled again and pulled away. Finally, my mind led me straight inside my tent. I was excited to wake up again in the morning so I can talk to Kasai again. 

A/N there, a nice and calm Oneshot with Dechi dealing with memories for the first time. Honestly, I didn't expect this Oneshot to go this way. My original plan for this was that the group went camping and that Dechi would accidentally fall over the edge of the hill and Kasai  would catch her. But in the end, I just let my heart write everything. If I look more into this Oneshot, I realized that there's a subtle meaning into this short story. 

" Don't let such tragic and traumatizing memories keep you on edge all your life. There's always time to forgive but to never forget even how hurtful those memories can be. "
