Romeo's POV

I walked around Beacontown, feeling a bit down. I still can't believe Jess spared my life. I honestly don't deserve to be standing here at the moment. I killed both Xara and Fred. Man, what's wrong with me?! I can't just do that to people.

Fred was stabbed in the back and Xara was strangled. They both didn't deserve that. But atleast, they're in a better place right now. Peace and serenity. The perfect key to a soothing life.

" Hey Romeo! " I see the leader of Beacontown approach me. I took a deep breath. " Heya Jess, how are you? " I asked the girl nicely. She adjusted the

strands of her overalls. "I'm doing great. How about you? " she replied.

I thought for a second. To tell the truth, I'm not doing fine. I'm not ok at all.

I miss my friends and I just feel so guilty all the time. Should I lie to this girl right now? I-I..

I saw her give me concerned eyes. I should just say the truth..." Look, I'm not doing too well at the moment "I said shortly. Jess's eyes widened. " What's the matter? Is it because of...all this? "She referred to the huge battle we had 2 weeks ago. I simply nodded, the frown on my lips now visible. She sighed.

" Romeo, I'm incredibly sorry. Hey, I have an idea. How about you pass by the pet store and take a look at all the animals? " she suggested.

I gave a confused look. " pet store? How can that help? " I asked a bit impatiently. I wanted this feeling to go away. Jess looked at me. " Well, Reuben is my pet pig that I sadly....never mind, Point is, maybe having an animal around might cheer you up. It certainly did back at my younger days. " she chuckled remembering the memories. I smiled slightly.

Hey....maybe getting an animal was a good idea.

I opened the door to the pet store. The bell did a small 'cling ' before the girl at the counter looked at me. " Hi! Welcome to the- "she cut her introduction short and just stopped everything. Her smile was gone and she began glaring me.

I gulped knowing who it was. " What do you want here? Are you gonna Hurt the animals too? " It was Stacy. She cared for animals deeply.

I backed away slowly. " I promise I won't hurt them. " i said calmly. She still kept

an eye on me and stepped out of the counter. "so what do you want anyways?

Admin? "She said those last words hatefully. I flinched. "I'm not the admin anymore. I'm just a normal human like you guys..."I said out. She nodded.

" That's pretty true " she said, realizing the facts.

"alright, fine. I forgive you. So what brings you here Romeo? " she asked again.

I looked around. " Jess told me to adopt an animal to help me control my emotions. " i explained, taking a look at all the different pets all around.

Cats, dogs, sheeps, pigs, cows, rabbits, chickens, horses. Every animal I can every imagine. But one certainly caught my eye.

It was a small kitten that was white. It had purple spots around her stomach and it had orange bows. I could definitely tell by now that it was a girl.

" Well that kitten just showed up this morning. " Stacy said petting the kitten a bit. I observed her as she played with her ball of yarn. She was actually pretty cute....

" I think I'll get that kitten. "I said, smiling at it. She gave a curious look before meowing. It melted my heart. She was so adorable. " Heya! "I cooed.

" Mew Mew! " the kitten seemed happy. Stacy chuckled. " she must really like you. Are you a secret animal tamer? "She joked. I played along. "oh maybe "

I grinned playfully. We both ended up laughing for a few minutes.

Stacy got the cage and put the kitten inside. She seemed nervous.

" Hey, it's ok. I'm gonna protect you"I Smiled, putting my hand through the bars. She gave a happy look and came closer to my hand. Stacy smiled at me.

" Take good care of that kitten Romeo. She's quite unique y'Know. " she reminded. I grabbed a few diamonds out of my pockets to pay her. "thanks Stacy. I will " I said taking a good grip at the handle and walked out.

" Mew Mew Mew! " I heard the kitten whine. I put the cage down and took a look at her. " Is everything alright? " I asked with concerned eyes. She came closer to my face and gently rubbed her head across the bars. I didn't understand animal language that much but I think she wanted to go out?

I opened the cage door slowly. " You shouldn't be out of your cage but I know you wanted to explore the town a bit "

She gave a happy look and started walking ahead. I closed the cage and caught up to her. She definitely was a smart cat. That's for sure. Ahaha.

" Mew? " she turned her glance at the destroyed order hall. My fault...all my fault. " Yeah, that's me...I did that. " I said full of guilt. The kitten frowned but didn't say much later.

We finally arrived at my comfy home. I put the cage down on the floor and put the kitten on the couch. I squinted my eyes while twirling my finger around her bow. She looked at me happily. " So...what do I name you? " I asked the kitten.

Wait why was I asking an animal? Ofcourse She wasn't gonna answer me.

" You kinda remind me of my friend-" I was cut off by the kitten.

" Romeo..." she talked. My eyes widened. This kitten actually spoke! I'm gonna freak out! This is just a dream right?! Right?! I petted her on her cheek. I recognized her voice.

" X-Xara....? "

She smiled. " Ha, Thought you'd remember me. " she said rubbing her head against my hand whilst I was petting her. I felt my eyes tear up. I wanted to cry.

I wanted to say sorry. " Xara...I'm so sorry. About everything Fred...your city and- killing you. " i said softly. She purred and shut her eyes. " Finally.

I finally get the thing the apology I always wanted. Thank you. " she said.

I smiled. "you forgive me? " I inquired. She nodded.

I sat down on the couch beside her and took her in my arms. " Thank You Xara." I whispered to her. With her paws, she hugged me back.

" So how did you managed to become a cat in the first place? "I asked her whilst chuckling. She laughed. " Well, my spirit kinda got sucked into this cat body. Guess I'm a cat forever. Mew! "She cheered at the end.

I blushed slightly. " That's why I love you Xara, because of your enthusiasm. "

I whispered gently. She gave a prideful look. " Oh I know you do- Wait, What's That supposed to mean?! " she blushed slightly. I didn't bother answering.

" man, it was annoying to be in this cat body "she complained.

There was a moment of silence until Xara sighed.

" I Love you too Romeo. "

At that, I jumped out of bed. That's right, I needed to feed Xara. Heh, I wonder how she's holding up in that cat body. I stood up and went to the living room where I left the cage. But my eyes widened as I realized it wasn't there.

Where could she be? And where's the cage?! " Xara?! Xara?! " I called out for my friend. No Response.

My eyes began to fill up with tears. Was this all a dream? I fell on my knees and started crying. " N-No..." I muttered. I didn't actually pass by the pet shop yesterday. What exactly happened?

*FlashBack*

" Romeo, I'm incredibly sorry. Hey, I have an idea. How about you pass by the pet store and take a look at all the animals? " she suggested. I shook my head.

Owning an animal would be too much work.

" No thanks Jess. But thanks for the suggestion"

*FlashBack Ends*

It was true. It was all a Dream. Xara is....dead. She cannot even come back in a cat form. That was just....all my imaginary. " I can't believe I'm never gonna see you guys again..." I cried out.
