Jesse's POV

It was the afternoon out in Beacontown. I just got back from an adventure once again with Petra. But for some reason, deep inside, I wanted another one. It was if I wanted to explore places that I've never been before. Nothing peculiar happened with me and the gingerhead sadly. We visited an ordinary mineshaft and raided a desert temple. Not like I seem ungrateful. I just want to travel again. I tried asking Radar the other day however I never got an exact response. The room was only filled with inaudible mumbles, stuttering and screeches. I know he was trying to answer my question for a fact because I could have sworn to see his lips quivering in fear. Why was he so afraid? Or maybe he was just nervous? I don't blame him. The admin incident definitely rocked him. But a hero was always destined for a heck-ton of messes. Whether we like it or not.

I whipped my head to the right as the slightest noise was heard. The order hall's automatic doors opening. I should really thank Olivia for implementing that in. "Jesse?" A call was heard from the entrance. My emerald eyes met with a familiar sight. It was Lukas. He gave me a warm smile before running up to up, much to Radar's dismay. "Aw come on, you'll ruin the carpet." The intern teased. To which I chuckled softly. "What do you need?" I asked him as a few pants were released from the blonde. He looked down before answering. I assumed he was attempting to catch his breath. Did he run from his small cabin all the way from Beacontown?

"I was searching through Beacontown's finest maps and I found an untouched field. I believe you didn't send your adventurers there yet. " he spoke, taking the map out to show me proof. I giggled mentally at that. Ofcourse I believed him.
However I was pretty stunned when he told me that he found an unfamiliar field near my town. I tucked a strand of my stunning raven hair behind my ear as I leaned forward to take a look. My eyes dilated at the sight. The field was rather large and it was full of grass blocks that's for sure. Just then, the doors opened once again and there stood the former admin. Struggling to walk over to us.
I frowned and helped him come closer. "Romeo?" I called out.

The redhead lifted his head up and we locked gazes. I knew for a fact he was still uncomfortable with Lukas around. The former admin glanced in another direction, a guilty expression was on his face. At first I didn't understand why he was feeling this way until I noticed the blonde's reaction to his presence. His soft cyan eyes turning into an unrecognizable frostbite colour. I shuddered.

"Hi Romeo. Do you need anything? Materials for rebuilding Romeoburg I imagine." I inquired, trying to break the tension between them. I noticed Radar leave the room as well. Which made me more nervous. Did no one feel safe around Romeo's presence. Come on, he's completely harmless. We got rid of his powers weeks ago. To my surprise he nodded with a nervous smile. "Yes actually. I was hoping to get a few wooden planks and some clay from Xara but she refused to talk to me. You were the next best option." He admitted. I nodded sympathetically.

A few moments passed before I let out a small sigh. "Looks like both of you were looking something and are asking me to help." I concluded, pretty proud with my statement. It didn't have a good ending like Radar's usual scripted ones but you've got to be at least some credit for coming up with something like that for the pass 3 minutes. Both boys nodded. "I wanted to go explore the new territory." Lukas stepped up. Which caused Romeo to glance away. "Maybe we can find trees there." He whispered nervously. Lukas rolled his eyes. "Ofcourse there's trees there. What did you think it was? A wasteland like your own town?" He retorted back.
Romeo whimpered. "My town isn't-" He was cut off by the blonde once again. "Really? If it wasn't, why did you destroy it?"

I clenched my fists and fit between the two boys. "Alright that's enough. We'll all go explore that new territory all three of us. Is that clear?" I told them. A spark of confidence bolted in me. I wasn't talking to a flock of crowds but somehow, I still remained confident, fearless. To make orders among my friends for once.

Lukas gulped. "But Jesse, the Admin-" I interrupted him, my face turning red of frustration when the 'A' word was mentioned for the bazilyionth time. I sighed. Disappointed he didn't get the point yet. "Lukas, Romeo isn't the Admin anymore. He's changed." I reminded him while turning my eyes to Romeo. The man's terrified expression didn't change. "And as for you Romeo, Lukas won't hurt you. Please don't feel scared." I reassured him. There was a brief moment of silence before his head still hung low, but a faint gesture of a nod was seen. I smiled. "We should get going then." I dug my hands inside of my overall's pockets and pulled out a few torches. This should do the trick for now. I had more things inside my inventory anyways.

The two boys gave each other cold glares before Lukas made his way out of the door as soon as possible. Not even sticking around to wait for me not Romeo. It left me alone with him for a short while. We walked down the pedastool before reaching the door. However as the doors were about to automatically open, a small tap on my sensitive shoulder caused me to jump aback. I turned around and saw Romeo. He was looking down but a faint blush on his cheeks. Did he forget something? Or did he remember that he couldnt run? Why did he look embarrassed or yet..even more nervous? I thought I sorted things out.

"J-Jesse..?" He spoke quietly as his two arms swung behind his back. Causing him to stand straighter than his current  posture. I tilted my head in confusion. "Anything wrong, Romeo?" I inquired. Worry starting to rise inside of me. He shook his head and instead of saying a word. He pulled something out of his pockets. My eyes widened at the sight. It was a sunflower. It's roots were sort of squished and the colour seemed to drain out of its supposedly golden yellow petals.

"This is for you...I uh..found these in my old home. I was searching through Romeoburg for more materials and I came across these.." the blush became more obvious on both of our cheeks. Why was I blushing? I...I didn't understand why a sudden touch of bliss passed by. Though, I grabbed the almost deformed flower and looked down on it. The tiniest of smiles formed on my lips as my emerald eyes met his ordinary black ones. "Thank you." I told him sincerely. But just by observing how helpless he looked at my response. I knew:

He cared about me, more than just a friend, more than just a champion. Maybe something more. I couldn't deny it. I wanted to see what would happen if I learn to accept these feelings.
