Chapter 2~ A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Takuto's POV
Days have passed and like usual, we were all in Le Renard Noir. The idiots were basically celebrating our success on today's mission. I, on the other hand, had decided to stay smart and stay sober while they were drinking their life away. But anyways, that was a few hours ago. And these imbeciles had finally calmed the hell down and were now just sitting there. Finally, peace and quiet---
"..."
"So.. What do you wanna do?" Kenshi was the first to break the silence.
'Like for real? So much for peace and quiet..'
"Dunno." The drunk assed leader responded. Or maybe he's sober now, for once in his life. Just kidding. Or am I?
The orange gasped, "Ooh! How about a game of---"
"No."
"Geez, fine then." The orange huffed and pulled out his phone, texting to who cares.
Beardy sighed softly and casually asked, "Who wants some pork noodles?"
'And me you ask? I was spacing out. Kinda like what the author (Jenny) does all the time...'
(Jenny: "Hey! DX")
'No regerts. 😏'
^ and yes, I spelled regret wrong on purpose XD
"Takkun?"
I felt everyone's curious gazes on me.
I sighed and mumbled, "---ing."
"Huh? Your lips are flapping but we're not getting any audio!~" The orange sing-song much to my annoyance.
"---ing..." I quietly repeated.
"???"
Fed up, I snapped, "You guys are annoying!"
"We're not THAT annoying.." Riki retorted back, raising his hands up in defense.
Kenshi was the next to speak, "Hey guys! What do you say we all go on a mission?"
Riki pretends to think for a moment and nods, "Sounds like a plan.. If only we just didn't come back from one." He deadpanned, causing Kenshi to chuckle sheepishly.
"Haha... Right.. I knew that.."
Beardy sighed again, "Hahh.. If Janna was here, she would've thought of something."
"!!!"
"! I mean--!"
'THAT'S IT!'
(BAM!)
"Shut up! She's gone! And there's nothing we can do about it!" I shouted as I slammed the palms of my hands onto the table, hard.
'Why do they keep bringing her up?!'
"You're not just saying that we should forget her, are you?" Riki asked, and from the corner of my eye I saw Kenshi nodding in agreement to what Riki said.
"Yeah, she's been a Black Fox for months before that... Accident."
I sighed deeply and questioned, "You think she's gonna be happy knowing that we are all acting like this?"
Kenshi tilted his head in confusion, "Like what?"
"Getting upset around this time of year." I answered.
At that, Riki frowned. "How do you expect us to feel? Happy? She died because we let her into our group!"
"Guys.. Can we please not talk about this?"
To my shock, that came out of Hiro's mouth. Riki adverted his gaze and nodded.
"Hahh... Alright. Sorry."
'I don't want to stay here any longer than I have to..'
"I'm.. I'm going to bed."
I announced to no one in particular as I made my way upstairs. A string of chorused 'good nights' were heard as I walked into the same room that I've been sleeping in for the past few days. Though the voices became muffled when I gently closed the door. And like any typical tired person, I crashed onto the soft mattress and sighed to myself.
'I just wish that I can see you again, Janna...'

Third POV
'Takuto? Takuto, wake up.' An angelic voice called.
Takuto slowly opened his eyes, finding himself not on the bottom bunk bed in LRN, but where he was going to propose to Janna before that sudden mission. Wide meadows full of flowers were surrounding him and in some ways away in front of him, was a clear sparkling lake. Now, a woman was standing before him, with long brown hair that stopped mid-waist. Her white dress fluttered softly in the light breeze. Her back was facing towards him, making him question in his mind who she was. But that question was answered when the woman slowly turned around, an oh so familiar brown chocolate eyes staring right back at him. Janna.
'I was wondering how long you were going to continue sleeping.' She giggled and started walking graciously until she stood about an arms reach from Takuto. Her giggling face turned into a look of sadness as she said slowly, 'It's been a while huh..'
'Janna.' Takuto swallowed the lump in his throat and reached out. He gasped and snatched his hand back when his hand went right through her as if she was a hologram.
'Sad, isn't it?' She asked and reached out as well, only to also clasp air. 'I miss this.' Her gaze locked with Takuto's. 'I miss YOU.'
'Janna,' Takuto choked out, forcing himself to hold back tears. 'I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. If I didn't tell you that I was a Black Fox or---"
'Asked me to be your girlfriend?' Janna interrupted and adverted her gaze.
'No! Janna..' Takuto shook his head. 'Janna, listen. I don't regret asking you to be my girlfriend. I never did, never will. I loved every moment we'd shared together. I just wished that I didn't end it.'
'No, Takuto. You didn't end it. This wasn't your fault at all.'
'But.. If I'd figured out that there was a bomb there, you would still--" Takuto stopped, unable to continue.
'Be here,' Janna finished. 'And I still am. Just not physically.'
'I've failed as a Black Fox, as a hacker, and as your boyfriend, Janna. I was supposed to protect you and now look. I'm alive and you're basically a ghost. I can't even touch you, embrace you, kiss you. What kind of boyfriend am I if I can't even protect the one I love?'
'Loved.' Janna corrected sadly.
'No, love.' Takuto stated. 'I still love you, Janna."
'Oh Takuto.. You have no idea how much I love you as well.' Janna smiles softly and suddenly the wind picks up, startling the two.
'What's happening?!' Takuto shouted over the wind.
Suddenly, he wasn't in the meadows. Surrounding him, were familiar brick walls. His eyes widened and he turned, Janna wasn't there.
'Janna! Janna, where are you?!' He screamed and froze. Janna was standing there, held by a man with a knife at her throat.
And then, everything was in slow motion. Janna met his gaze and shouted.
'Run Takuto! Run!'
'JANNA!' Takuto felt dizzy, everything was fading. And the only things he'd heard before loosing conscious was Janna screaming his name and then the loud sounds of the building crumbling to pieces..
Just like his heart.

Takuto's POV
"JANNA!" I screamed and snapped up quickly, luckily not bumping into the ceiling/the bottom of the top bunk. I was literally covered in a thin layer of sweat and definitely needed air. I swung my legs off the bed and went to open the window, letting in the cool night breeze. "Janna.." I whispered and rested my forehead onto the cold glass. Tears started running down my face as I slowly closed my eyes. "I'm so sorry, Janna. I'm so sorry."
And because I feel tired af (two in the morning by the way..) I'm gonna stop this chapter here. Sorry if this chapter feels rushed... It'll get better I promise!
Again, Takuto as you've noticed, is acting way differently than the usual. This flows better with the story you know? ^.^ but anywho, please let me know what you guys think? Night guys!!!
