Three | Proclamation
Ava smirked as she climbed on the side of the castle in order to reach Ben's room. Yes, she can use the front door, but that's boring. She knocked on the window, causing Ben to jump. A guard opened up the window and Ava flipped in, causing Ben to chuckle. "You do know there's a thing called a 'front door' right?" "Well, yeah, but where's the fun in that?" Ava asked with a smirk and Ben laughed at the hero. Even the guard managed out a weak chuckle as Ava closed the window and the guard left the room. Ava then sat down on Ben's bed as he pulled up a chair and sat in front of Ava.
"So, I have my proclamation, but I need some help."
"Okay."
"I want some kids from the Isle to come live here, but I don't know who," Ben told the girl. The girl nodded and she smiled over at the prince. "And you want me to help pick them?" Ben only nodded his head as he stood up and grabbed some files. He sat back down, diveded them in half, and gave half to Ava.
"Choose two; a boy and a girl."
Ava nodded and the two said nothing as they began to look through the files of the children living in the Isle. Ava thought that they should get the kids that need their help the most - or those that she feels like don't belong in the Isle. She opened the first file and her eyes were met with dark brown eyes.
Jay, son of Jafar.
As Ava read his file, she figured that he needs a lot of help, seeing that he steals and is part of the main four that rule over the Isle. She put his file to the side before she began to go through the girls' files. She didn't choose a girl until the fourth file that she read.
Evie, daughter of Evil Queen.
Ava thought that Evie doesn't belong in the Isle. The Evil Queen? Yeah, sure. Evie, however, she didn't seem evil. Smiling, she picked up Evie and Jay's files before handing them over to Ben.
"I picked two: Evie and Jay. Evie is the daughter of Evil Queen and Jay is the son of Jafar."
"Well done. I picked out Carlos who's the son of Cruella De Vil, and Mal, Maleficent's daughter."
Ava rose her eyebrows at the name of Maleficent. "Well, Mal does seem like she needs the most help," Ava agreed with Ben and Ben smiled up at his new best friend. He then grew nervous, causing Ava to furrow her eyebrows together. "What's wrong?" Ava questioned the prince.
"I'm just nervous. Can you be here when I tell my parents?"
"Of course."
The two smiled at one another and Ben pulled Ava into a hug. "What would I do without you?" Ben asked. "Probably crash and burn." Ben playfully glared at the girl, but the two found themselves laughing. There was a knock on the door, interrupting them. "Yes?"
"Prince Benjamin, princess Audrey is here to see you."
Ava held back a groan and she turned to Ben. "Let me know when you're going to tell your mom and dad so I can come." Ben nodded and he kissed the top of Ava's head. Ava smiled up at him and quickly climbed out of the window and swung home.
Time Skip
Ava made a hammock in the corner of Ben's room and she layed in it while doing tricks with one of her drum sticks. Ben was currently being fitted for his suit because he would be crowned King in one month. Ava was happy and will always support Ben because she knows that he will be a great King. Ben had offered to have Ava fitted for a dress, but the girl denied, saying that she'll probably get fitted a week before because her body could change within a month. That, and she has no idea on how to design her dress. Ben found himself staring out of the window again and he sighed.
He then turned to Ava to try to get his mind off of worrying. "You look nice," he told her as he examined her outfit.
"Thanks. Nervous?"
"A bit, yeah."
Ava chuckled before reassuring her best friend. "They might be a bit hesitant, but you've got to stand your ground." Ben nodded and in that moment, King Adam and Queen Belle walked into the room.
"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned King next month?" asked King Adam.
"He's turning sixteen, dear," Belle told her husband.
"Hey, pops."
"Sixteen? That's far too young to be crowned King. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42." Belle scoffed and turned to her husband. "Uh, you decided to marry me at 28." "Ah, it was either you or a teapot. Kidding." Ben and Ava chuckled and the couple greeted Ava.
"Mom, dad - "
Ben made to move, but his tailor stopped him.
"I've chosen my first official proclamation," Ben stated and Ava swung down from her hammock. "With the help of Ava. I've decided that the children of the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon."
Belle let out a small squeak and dropped the jacket that she was holding on to.
"Every time I look out to the Isle, I feel like they've been abandoned," Ben began to state his reason and he stepped down from the stool. Ava walked over and she stood next to Ben while the tailor sat down and began to add notes on a paper for Ben's suit. "The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?" asked Ben's father.
"Well, we'll start off with a few, at first," reassured Ava, "The ones that need our help the most." Ben nodded and said, "We've already chosen them." "Have you?" Belle quickly thought it over before looking over to her husband. "I gave you a second chance." She then turned to the two teenagers in front of them. "Who are their parents?"
Ben took hold of Ava's hand and Ava gave him a reassuring squeeze. Taking in a deep breath, Ben looked up to his parents. "Cruella De Vil, Jafar, Evil Queen, and. . . Maleficent." At the mention of the dark fairy, the tailor gasped and dropped his pen and clipboard before running out of the room.
The guards then left, leaving the royal family and Ava to discuss.
"Maleficent?!" roared King Adam. "She's the worst villain in the land!"
"Dad, just hear me out."
"I won't hear of it! They are guilty of unspeakable crimes," Adam told his son, and Ava decided to step in.
"With all due respect, King Adam, their children are innocent." "Don't you think deserve a shot at a normal life?" Ben finished for Ava. "Dad?" Adam looked over to his wife before turning to Ava, and then finally, his son. "I suppose their children are innocent." Ava had a small smile on her face, then Adam turned to walk away, but he waited for his wife. Belle turned to the two teenagers and smiled. She quickly fixed Ben's coat and said, "Well. Well done." She took hold of Ava's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze before turning back to her husband.
"Shall we?"
The two looped their arms together and walked out of the room. Ben quickly gave Ava a hug before looking back out the window.
Meanwhile
Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos just finished singing and dancing and they all posed, along with those who joined them. A mother was passing by with her child in a cart and Mal smirked before taking the lollipop away from the child. Holding it up, everyone laughed and cheered, but most of the crowd ran away.
Mal sighed when she realized that none of her friends ran away and turned around with a fake smile.
"Hi, mom."
Maleficent was not happy with her daughter, for Mal was causing much less chaos than what Maleficent caused before she was trapped on the Isle.
"Oh! I have news. I've burried the lead! You four have been chosen to go to a new school. . . In Auradon." Jay, Carlos, and Evie all try to ran, but Maleficent's henchmen caught them. She then led them all to her tower where their parents were waiting and the dark fairy began to tell them their mission.
And the mission?
Steal Fairy Godmother's wand.
