Third person POV     

It was after school and the lovely four teenagers who were in great spirit had finally arrived home. Tenshi was filled with ecstasy of the eventful day she never would have imagined to experience as a normal high school student. Or at the very least, a normal human who can smile in freedom.

Dinner was warm and the conversations were simply lively and colorful. Tohru had even cooked a delicious meal of beef stew which Tenshi had never ventured before. Tenshi was delighted of such delicious and homey dish that Tohru had promised to make many more yummy dishes for her. And as per usual, Kyo and Yuki argued a bit, but it was quite funny to witness how they would retort to each of their verbal attacks. Tenshi, in return of the scrumptious dinner, offered to help clean up the table and wash the dishes for Tohru.

"I suppose I should finish my notes to catch up with the class. I'll be in my room if you guys need me!" Tenshi smiled, walking upstairs and into her room.

With a content sigh and a small smile, Tenshi placed down her book bag and took out the necessary contents needed to study. She brushed her fingers over the textbooks and nostalgically grinned with soft eyes.

'It's a blessing that I can even read and write in the first place. I owe it all to him for going out of his ways to help and comfort me... I wonder when I will ever cross paths with him again...' Tenshi sighed, taking a pencil into her grasp, writing away into her notebook.

"I miss you..." Tenshi muttered unintentionally, sighing.

A couple of hours flew by in the quiet room, filled with only the sounds of rhythmic noises of a moving pencil, the ticking of the clock, and the peaceful conversations of the critters outside. It was the first Tenshi had ever really come to hear such soft, melodious, and natural music when in a room. It was a new feeling that Tenshi cannot come to dislike.

*Knock knock*

"Hm?" Tenshi blinked, placing down her pencil. "The door is unlocked. You may enter." Tenshi said, turning around to face the door as it opened.

"Hello Tenshi! Kyo, Sohma-kun, and I are wondering if you would like to join us downstairs for some snacks. You've been studying nonstop too." Tohru smiled, folding her hands.

"That sounds lovely! I'll be down in a minute then!" Tenshi smiled, stretching out her back a bit from sitting down for so long.

Tohru nodded her head and closed the door as she exited, walking into the main room before Kyo and Yuki can engage into another dispute.

Tenshi yawned, tired tears forming around her eyes. She wiped away at them and stood up, looking out her window with an apathetic expression.

"Never have I seen the night sky without bars over the image, but a reflective piece of glass... I'm not sure which is to make me feel better..." Tenshi's eyes dropped down a bit, the ends of her mouth falling ever so slightly. She carefully drew the curtains, covering the window as if plastering on a new wallpaper in her room.

Seeing that she would be making the others wait for too long, Tenshi quickly went downstairs and greeted the three with a short smile and sat down. She spotted a plate of fruits on the table and blinked as she stared at a few of unfamiliar fruits.

"Is something wrong? Perhaps do you not like some of the fruits?" Yuki gently asked, tilting his head within the palm of his hand.

"A-ah! No, that is not it. I just, well, I have never seen some of these fruits ever before." Tenshi bashfully answered, embarrassed at her lack of knowledge.

"...." Tohru's mouth dropped a bit, surprised and hurt of such confession.

"Hah?" Kyo gritted his teeth, scoffing.

"That was rude of you to scoff." Yuki glared at Kyo.

"HAH?! THAT WASN'T WHAT I MEANT!" Kyo hissed, turning his head away abruptly.

"I-I don't mind regardless!" Tenshi waved her hands around, laughing it off. "What is this red fruit with yellow seeds on the exterior?" Tenshi pointed to a bundle of a certain fruit, her ears redder than the fruit itself.

"Oh! That's a strawberry! You should try them! They're really good!" Tohru brightened up and smiled, offering Tenshi the prettiest strawberry.

"E-eh? A strawberry? What a strange name haha. Thank you!" Tenshi giggled, taking the strawberry and taking a bite out of it.

"Mmm!" Tenshi's eyes light up brightly, sparkling.

"They're good right?!" Tohru nodded her head frivolously, her hands clenched tightly.

"Yes! It is quite pleasantly sweet, not overwhelming!" Tenshi awed, finishing the strawberry.

"I'm glad you like it." Yuki smiled princely.

"Mm!" Tenshi nodded her head, secretly glancing back at the strawberries.

"...." Kyo hardened his stare and clicked his tongue. "If you want another, then just take one and eat it!" Kyo scoffed yet again, pushing the plate of strawberries closer to Tenshi.

"Pft! Haha~! Thank you! I will!" Tenshi took another strawberry, sharing her thoughts of the many fruits along with the others' opinions.

"Ah, it has gotten late. We should turn in for the night for school tomorrow." Yuki mentioned, standing up.

"Ah. I had forgotten the time..." Tenshi hummed, looking up to the clock in the room.

"Well I'm going to retire for tonight first." Kyo sighed, rubbing his neck as he exited.

"Good night K-Kyo!" Tenshi blurted out before he was out of sight, earning a small and hesitant wave from his hand behind his neck. Tenshi sighed in relief, turning to the other two.

"Well, good night Yuki and Tohru." Tenshi smiled, returning to her room too.

'What a bunch of kind individuals...' Tenshi blushed happily in the thought of the warmth they gave off. 

Tenshi was able to sleep with a light heart and a small smile, forgetting that the room was enclosed by all four walls.

Next Morning

"Good morning!" Tenshi greeted the friendly faces of her friends and Shigure, helping Tohru finish setting up the table for breakfast.

The five cohabitants of the house easily and cheerfully exchanged a smooth flow of words, laughter in-between every so often. It was a happy meal.

"We're off! See you later!" Tohru said, bowing with Tenshi to Shigure.

"Mm. Have fun at school~! Kyo, Yuki, please don't fight~!" Shigure laughed, waving his fan.

"Haha! Tohru and I will make sure of that!" Tenshi giggled, walking first with Tohru.

"HEY!" Kyo hissed, rolling his eyes, following after.

Yuki sighed, shaking his head as he too followed the path.

"We're here! I can't wait to talk to Hana and Uo and to start the new lesson! I finally understand it thanks to Yuki's notes!" Tenshi clasped her hands, smiling widely as they walked through the school entrance.

"Your welcome. I'm glad the notes helped you."

"I just want school to be over already so I can relax over the weekend." Kyo sighed, placing his hand behind his head and onto the nape of his neck.

"Ah! The weekend! What does one do on a weekend?!" Tenshi gasped, blinking in curiosity.

"Study."

"Martial arts."

"Cooking."

"I, I see!" Tenshi exclaimed, closing her eyes with a short hum.

"I will do the same- Ah!" Tenshi snapped her fingers and opened her eyes determinedly but stopped in surprised at the sudden collision she encountered.

"A-are you okay Tenshi?" Tohru waved her hands around, immediately jumping a bit after recognizing the person in front of them.

"Huh? What are you doing here...? Tenshi?" The white and black haired male said in shock, his eyes wide and unsure if he was being deceived.

"H-Haru...?" Tenshi's eyes watered, her lips quivering.

"You two know each-" Yuki began, his brows furrowed ever so slightly in confusion and mixed feelings.

"What the hell?! How-...?!" Kyo hissed, his right eye twitching as he was unable to continue his angry shouts of utter confusion.

Without further hesitation, Haru brushed Tenshi's shoulder and placed his hand on her back, embracing her into a warm hug. He nestled his head near the crook of her neck and let his hand bury itself in her bright hair.

"I've missed you so much..." Tenshi whispered, hugging back the taller boy.

"Hey hey! Don't get touchy!" Kyo shouted, his hair standing on its end. "WE ARE IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL!" Kyo screamed, his fists shaking. His ears and face was a shade of a bright pink.

Many groups and individuals coming from the school gates stared and stopped in jaw dropping awe and shock of the scene. The new girl who caused a popular wave in the school is embracing an all so famous and handsome Sohma student.

"Is Haru her boyfriend?!"

"I thought she was single?!"

"Are they not cousins?!"

"Doesn't she already have enough guys falling heads over heels for her?"

"REVERSE HAREM~!"

"Ah! S-sorry!" Tenshi blushed terribly in embarrassment, pulling away. She looked down to the ground, feeling disgraced of her action. Still, she didn't deny the warm and loveliness of the reunited embrace.

"So what? It's not their business. I can hug her if I want." Haru nonchalantly retorted back at Kyo and placed his arm around Tenshi's shoulders.

"HAH?! ARE YOU STUPID?!" Kyo shouted, about to throw his fist towards Haru's teasing yet blank face.

"Stop creating the commotion yourself, you stupid cat...!" Yuki smacked the back of Kyo's head, sighing in irritation of many matters.

"Kyo-kun...!" Tohru sweat dropped, unable to step into the fiery forcefield that surrounded Kyo.

"UGGGH!" Kyo gritted his teeth and crossed his arms, grumbling to himself in bitter anger.

"H-Haru... I, I didn't know you attend this school too..." Tenshi bashfully started, looking up to his face.

"I've been attending this school for awhile. I've just been absent for the past few days." Haru responded, smiling ever so little yet softly.

"How do they know each other so familiarly...?" Tohru quietly commented, her words being heard by the other two boys.

"......" Yuki silently listened and watched uneasily, yet tiredly. He let out a heavy sigh and cleared his throat. "We should head to our own classes before the bell rings." Yuki brought up, his stare directing towards Haru.

"Hmph..." Haru noticed the gesture and nodded his head. "At the very least, I can walk with Tenshi and you guys until I have to go my own way." Haru said, starting to walk with Tenshi first.

"Really?! That is great! Do please tell me how you've been!" Tenshi smiled, not minding their close interactions.

"Did you see that! There was so much tension!" A student exclaimed.

"A Sohma family love story?! Oh~! How juicy!" Another pipped, their face pink in the thought of trivial romance.

"Tsk...!"

Many students angrily clicked their tongue in anger and bitterness. Though, some of the students in particular were relieved that the new girl wouldn't pursue Prince Yuki.

:0 A whole frickin year... Sorry guys. This story just doesn't spike me with that much inspo. But I'll try to get some updates~!
