Chapter 4- Prince Yuki

Third person POV
"How should I style my hair...?" Tenshi sighed, trying to tie her long hair into a ponytail.

After the tenth time trying to fix something up with her unusual hair, Tenshi gave up and let her hair down after brushing it out. She patted down onto her clothes and let out a content exhale.

"I should hurry down..." Tenshi hummed, grabbing a couple of belongings as she exited the room, almost bumping into someone.

"Ah! Good morning bro— Kyo!" Tenshi smiled with her eyes closed to direct the awkward greeting away.

"... Morning..." Kyo hesitantly said back in response, sighing and walking past her. He scratched the back of his head, blinking in process of the sudden change of words his proclaimed sister had said.

Sighing in relief, Tenshi gave a small smile of unsure messages to herself. She gave a weak fist of determination and walked down the stairs after waiting for a bit.

'I shouldn't push it... I would make him feel uncomfortable along with the others if I continue like this...' Tenshi nodded her head in final decision and seated herself at the table.

"Thank you for the food!" Tenshi gleamed, clasping her hands into a prayer along with the others of the household.

"Oh? You're attending school today?!" Tohru smiled, excited to have another friend join her at school.

"You had already taken the entrance exam?" Yuki blinked, surprised to see Tenshi wearing their uniform.

"Mm, I took it yesterday while you three went to school!"

"That was quick..." Yuki hummed, continuing with his breakfast.

"You four should hurry and get ready to leave if you want to make it on time for school. It is Tenshi's first day, so do take care of her!" Shigure smiled, reading through the newspaper.

"Of course! I can't wait to introduce you to my friends!" Tohru exclaimed.

"They must be amazing if Tohru speaks so excitedly of them!" Tenshi smiled and shared a similar expression as Tohru.

Kyo who did not mutter a single word over breakfast, quickly gathered his dishes and went into the kitchen and returned with his book bag. The others had done the same and said their goodbyes to Shigure.

"So... What is school like?" Tenshi looked at the trio as they walked through the forest.

"School is amazing!"

"It sucks, tch."

"It's pleasant."

Tenshi giggled at the variety of responses and the differences of their attitudes and tones, looking forward to the blue sky.

"How pretty..." Tenshi whispered, her eyes widening.

Once they had entered the more populated area with neighborhoods and shops, Tenshi gleamed in awe of the world around her. She begged no attention to the looks she received from bystanders but marveled at the lots of people and the things she has not seen in years.

"What strange hair... Surely it is against school rules." A student from the school muttered.

"I've never seen someone like her around here before."

"She's walking with Prince Yuki and his cousin, Kyo! How lucky!"

"What an odd combination that group is..."

Concerned, Yuki looked over to Tenshi, but did not have to worry after all once seeing her bright face. Kyo watched a bit from behind and let out a sigh.

"Focus on your surroundings and walk faster. You're going to break the flow of traffic of the entrance." Kyo scoffed.

"O-oh! Sorry K-Kyo!" Tenshi laughed, walking faster and past the school entrance.

"Can't you just calm down. We're here on time." Yuki attacked, walking past Kyo.

"HAH?!"

"K-Kyo-kun..." Tenshi laughed nervously behind him.

"Tch. Whatever. Lets just go to class. I'm tired!" Kyo grumbled, walking with Tohru rushing to walk besides him.

"... I've never seen so many people..." Tenshi breathed out, glancing at the students interact with one another.

"You're not nervous?" Yuki asked, gaining Tenshi's attention to turn around.

"Not quite! I rather feel bewildered and rushed with excitement!" Tenshi smiled widely, letting out a small laugh.

"...!" Yuki blinked with wide eyes, surprised.

"My friends should be in classroom by now! We can show you around a bit as we get there!" Tohru said, once caught up to girl.

"I would be honored to!" Tenshi linked arms with Tohru as they led the way through the halls.
—————

"Nice to meet you! My name is Tenshi Sohma! I have been looking forward to meet you on behalf of Tohru's excitement and good words of you two!" Tenshi smiled charmingly.

"I'm Saki Hanajima. Nice to meet you... You have strange wavelengths...." The dark haired girl with mysterious eyes said, exchanging a handshake.

"Woah, another Sohma? Nice to meet you! You seem better than that orange head brat. I'm Arisa Uotani. Call me Uo!" The tall blonde haired girl introduced.

"HEY!" Kyo hissed, clicking his tongue afterwards.

"My b— I mean, he certainly isn't bad though." Tenshi rubbed her hands a bit, nervous about Kyo's reaction.

"...... Tch." Kyo removed his feet from the desk and turned to the trio.

"Hm? What is it now?" Uo crossed her arms.

"That girl just so happens to be my sister." Kyo rolled his eyes, pointing to the pink haired girl.

"Huh? Really! But she's so much more sweet than you! Did you absorb all of the bitter salt into your DNA?" Uo blinked in surprise, chuckling.

"OH SHUT IT!" Kyo's eye twitched, annoyed. He turned away and slammed his arms and head down onto the desk to nap away his annoyance.

"I didn't know he has a sister..." Hana curiously placed her finger to her chin.

"Haha... It's quite complicated." Tenshi chuckled to herself, scratching her cheek.

"Did we hear that Kyo-kun has a sister?! And that sister is her?"

"The new girl? Woah...!"

"She's my type! Super cute!"

"SCRAM!" Kyo jumped up from his seat, fuming in anger. His veins popped on the side of his forehead, slamming his fist down onto his desk while startling his classmates.

"Woah. Getting all fussy now?" Uo chuckled.

"OH SHUT IT! IT'S BREAK TIME AND I JUST WANT TO REST! SCRAM EVERYONE!" Kyo scoffed, making the crowd slowly disperse away from the center.

'Best not to get on Kyo's bad side if we want to talk to her....' Many of the classmates sweat dropped, walking back to their assigned seats or group.

"Does he always shout like this in school?" Tenshi whispered over to the group.

"Doesn't seem like he will ever stop." Yuki muttered, sighing and shaking his head.

"Tch...! I heard that! Why the hell are you here?! Can't I just get a break?" Kyo hissed, his eye twitching.

"Stop acting like a celebrity," Yuki turned around, ignoring Kyo and to Tenshi, "Here. Since the lessons are continuous from the last couple of days, you can use my notes to catch up."

"Ah, I was struggling to pick up the formulas because of that. Thank you Yuki!" Tenshi smiled, taking the notes with care.

*Bell rings*

"Mm... No problem." Yuki said, walking back to his seat

"How prince like." Hana commented.

"Yuki sure is the prince in this school." Tohru let out a small giggle.

'Prince...? I suppose I could kinda already see that.' Tenshi thought to herself, seating herself back to her desk, noticing the silent and discrete stares.
—————

"Finally. It's lunch. I'm exhausted after that lecture." Uo sighed, rubbing her headache and tiredness away. She frowned in reminisce of the endless talk of the teacher's lesson.

"Haha! Oh! I'll be back! I just have to turn in some papers!" Tenshi smiled, a folder in her hand.

"Do you need me to take you there?" Tohru asked.

"No, I'm fine. Thank you though. I came here with Shigure yesterday so I'll manage. I want to get more familiar with my surroundings." Tenshi chuckled lightly, brushing her hair back.

"We'll be up on the rooftop." Hana informed, taking out her wrapped bento.

"Mm! I'll meet you guys there!" Tenshi waves goodbye and eyed Yuki and Kyo who were behind the girls. Tenshi gave a short smile to the two and left the classroom.

"....!" Yuki and Kyo blinked, quite unsure of the meaning behind the smile Tenshi gave. Whether it was mysterious or comforting, they did not know.

The girls alongside with Yuki and Kyo, made their way to the rooftop, gaining glances of their oddly grouped individuals.

Tenshi easily made it to the teachers' office, handing in some final papers to her entrance to the school. Smiling through small talk, Tenshi left, walking the opposite direction of where the rooftop stairs reside.

'Actually... I didn't quite venture every area to figure out where the rooftop entrance would be at...' Tenshi sighed, closing her eyes and crossing her arms in dissatisfaction.

"On the other hand, I can't waste time standing here..." Tenshi sighed yet again, frowning.

"You! Stop right there!" A commanding like female's voice echoed in the hall, snickering following along the loud voice.

Still, Tenshi continued to walk forward, mumbling to herself. She paid no attention to the people behind her.

"W-What! How rude! I am talking to you!" The girl's voice inched closer to Tenshi quite quickly as she forcibly turned Tenshi around.

"How dare you ignore THE Motoko Minagawa!" The smaller henchman with pigtails scoffed, pointing her finger at a dumbfounded Tenshi.

"Uh... Who?" Tenshi tilted her head innocently, fluttering her eyes with confusion.

"Gasp! The arrogance you show to disgrace Motoko Minagawa!" The other two girls shouted from behind the taller girl whose uniform Tenshi recognized as an upperclassmen.

"Hah... Haha! You dare not know my name?!" The ringleader whipped her head to the side, offended.

"Being rude? Arrogance? Me?" Tenshi smiled with a pure and kind maiden's heart.

"Yes you—" The henchman began.

"I ask you with all due respect to retreat your pointing fingers and rude shouts from me. I do not know you four as I don't see any reason why I should. Today is my first day after all." Tenshi smiled a bit more deeply, her hands politely folded in front of her.

"Y-you...!" The short brown haired girl growled.

"Hmph! We are the Prince Yuki Fan Club! And I am the President, Motoko Minagawa!" The said girl gleamed in triumph, closing her eyes and striking the most elegant pose she knew.

"Uh...." Tenshi sweat dropped, feeling her right eye twitch in the upmost cringe and disbelief.

"And you are a witch! You dare try to seduce and steal Prince Yuki from us?!" Motoko scoffed, brushing her fingertips to her head as if she had a headache.

"Unforgivable!" Her henchmen angrily scowled.

"... How tediously annoying." Tenshi bluntly blurted out, her face is warped in an expression of complete disgust and cringe.

"Urk...!" The four faltered with shock.

"H-how dare you! You, you witch!"

"Forgive me, but I don't believe you even know my name. I have no intention of seducing Yuki in comparison to what your club does. Nor do I appreciate the time being wasted here." Tenshi smiled foolishly, scratching her cheek in a shyly manner.

"You dare yet again disgrace our club! We band together to swear upon ourselves to never have Prince Yuki as our own to prevent a tragedy!" Motoko threw her palm over her chest, her eyes tender with the feeling of bliss of her "noble deed".

"What a narcissistic and delusion brat." Was what Tenshi wanted to say.

"Hahahah... I think it's quite the dream you have..."

"Of course! Motoko Minagawa has the best interests!" The henchman with pigtails proudly declared.

"Quite the far-fetched dream if it's so one-sided to only worship a fellow schoolmate with no intention of asking his wants!" Tenshi giggled, a simple and cute like smile lacing her lips.

"HAH?!" Motoko crumbles to the ground, shocked at the words.

"Oh my! So much time has passed! Please excuse me senpai, but I am running late to meet my friends!" Tenshi laughed lightly like a child, waving softly as she made her exit down the hall. Tenshi waved to a few students who glanced her way, completely entrancing many with her bubbly yet charming smile.

"Ugh....!" Motoko's head drooped down towards the ground, her hair scattered and her brain shutting down.

" Motoko!" Her henchmen cries worriedly.
—————

"Ah! Sorry for being late! I couldn't quite find my way to the rooftop!" Tenshi opened the door cheerfully, walking over to the welcoming group.

"Stupid." Kyo muttered.

"But you're my brother! We should have some resemblance then, no?" Tenshi laughed behind her hand.

"Though it seems like he has a lost cause in his case." Yuki commented.

"CAN IT YOU DAMN SHI—"

"P-please don't fight! You'll get in trouble!" Tohru flinched, startled.

"What morons." Uo took a bite out of her bento box, watching the scene before her.

"Quite the sight." Hana sighed.

"Haha~!" Tenshi laughed some more, clapping her hands in pure joy.

'Oh how much fun this is indeed!' Tenshi gleamed, her eyes glistening.
