(A/N) GUESS WHO'S BACK?! ME THAT'S WHO! NEW CHAPPIE FOR YOU GUYS FINALLY!

Ah, the beach. The only place where you can enjoy having sand everywhere. Natsu and Gray were not at the beach yet, they were just walking towards it.

"I can't believe we have to go to this party." Natsu muttered angrily.

"Would you rather get your ass handed to you by Erza?" Gray questioned, even though the answer was pretty obvious. Natsu shook his head in response.

"On the plus side I'll get to beat Gajeel at arm wrestling!" Natsu cheered and started running to the party. "Last one there is an idiot!" Natsu screamed, Gray chased after him, determined not to lose the race.

After a rather confusing "race" the two rivals made it to the beach.

"Gray, Natsu! You guys made it!" A cheerful Lucy stated.

"Of course we did it was either this are getting mauled by the wild animal that is Erza." Gray stated plainly as he dusted the sand off his pants. Natsu was already walking over to Gajeel with determination before Lucy even got a chance to respond.

"I'm glad you two showed up, I was worried I was gonna have to bring you here myself." Gray visibly tensed as Erza towered over him with an intimidating gaze.

"I wouldn't miss this party for the world Erza." Gray lied skillfully then took off in the direction of Natsu.

"Those two will never change will they?" Erza shook her head in response to Lucy and the two walked over to Jellal and Loke.

Once the sun set it was safe to say that the party went into full swing. Laxus, and older classman had managed to steal alcohol from his parents and brought it to the party. Many bad decisions later and nearly everyone was hammered.

"Hey Lucy why aren't you drinking?" Gray asked as he sat next to her on the bench.

"Well, waking up with a hangover on the first day of school isn't exactly on my bucket list. I suppose that's not a problem for you though, since you have a high tolerance to alcohol like Cana." Gray nodded in reply as he took a sip of beer.

"I definitely have a higher tolerance than flame brain over there." Gray looked at Natsu who was currently doing a keg stand.

"Erza's gonna kill me I was supposed to watch him!" Lucy face palmed when she realized she had been distracted by Loke's flirting all night.

"Don't worry about Erza killing you, I'll be taking care of your death myself. After all I have to share a room with his drunk ass." Lucy laughed at Gray, knowing he wouldn't actually hurt her.

"I suppose I should apologize for that, but I'd rather see what happens. And I can't apologize for something I don't feel bad about." Gray lightly shoved her and continued to stare at the drunken mesh of people.

"I'll leave you be, I have to go make sure Loke doesn't sleep with everything." Gray nodded and watched Lucy walk off.

"First stupid party of the new school year, check." Gray mumbled to himself as he took another drink.

(A/N) So this chapter is kind of a filler, I originally intended for something weird to happen in this chapter but I postponed it! Luckily the weirdness shall happen in Chapter 3 stay tuned!
