(Y/n pov)

"What? Going to the movies?" I said as Ochacco entered my room after school.

"Yup! And then we're using a voucher I won to go this fancy restaurant for half price, so get all dressed up!" Ochacco said and opened my wardrobe to examine the sad clothes I own.

"Okay, wow. Don't worry, Mina gave me her key in case this happened." Ochacco said an d we went to Mina's room.

"Make over time~!" Ochacco said as she opened the door to three prepared outfits laying in Mina's bed.

"Oh, no. I'm having a make over. I'll wear one of these outfits but please don't expect me to wear make up and jewelry." I complained.

"Don't worry, I won't go over the top." Ochacco said.

I looked in the mirror after Ochacco was finished. She let me wear an outfit that was a skirt and a top rather then a dress. I wore a black crop top with a sunflower on it, a red, denim, short pencil skirt and black ankle boots. 

"Okay, now make up and hair!!" Ochacco squealed and dragged me into my bathroom. 

"How about a quick messy bun and then we just give you some foundation, blush and pink lipstick." Ochacco said and did what she said she would.

(Midoriya pov)

I got changed into me usual data clothes, a nice pair of pants and a simple shirt. After I was changed, I walked down the dorms halls to Shinsou's room.

"Are you ready?" I asked as I knocked on his door.

"Do I really have to do this..?" I heard him say from inside.

"Yeah, now hurry up. Sero is already downstairs and Mina is gonna be meeting us here soon." I said and he opened the door. 

He looked better then usual. His eye bags were still there, but they weren't as bad as usual. His messy hair was maybe half as chaotic as usual and he actually looked like he put a little effort into his clothes. 

"Let's go then." He sighed as we headed to the elevators.

"...You don't see too excited about this?" I said as we waited.

"I am, it's just..." He sighed again as we got into the elevator, "I dunno... What if L/n doesn't want to do this?" 

"So far, all she thinks is happening is a group trip to the movies. She has no idea we book groups of two seats all over the place." I told him, "And she'll be fine. We picked a sad romance movie. L/n gets teary easily."

"GUYS! You took sooooo long! Y/n and Ochacco are already waiting at the bus stop!" Mina yelled as the elevator door opened.

(Shinsou pov)

We walked to the bus station and Mina complained about how long we took the whole trip. Once we arrived, Mina made sure I was next L/n. She looked really pretty, but uncomfortable, she kept pulling her skirt up to hide her stomach but then pulling it down again to try and cover her legs.

"Damn, wish I was in trackies..." she mumbled, "Fuckin' Mina, making me wear a freaking skirt..."
I laughed a little at her.

"Ah, you heard me!" She said looking up at me, since I was a little taller then her, "Oh, you look nice in that..." 

She looked me up and down and then nodded. 

"Um, thanks. You look really nice." I said, a little nervous.

"Hah, you think I look nice? Do you need glasses?" She said and laughed. 

Mina warned me of this, her hate if her body, "No, I really think you look pretty."

She looked away from me and I could tell she was blushing, "Yeah, you look pretty too..."
"...Thanks."

(Y/n pov)

Mina, the scheming little devil she is, made absolutely sure Shinsou and I were next to each other on the bus. 

"Um, it's a long trip to the movies, so I'm sorry if I fall asleep." Shinsou said.

"It's okay. I'll probably fall asleep too." I said and laughed a bit.

We both got out our phones and preoccupied ourselves with them. I got a message just as I was about to win a game.

Mina

I looked at the seat behind me, where Mina was, next to Sero.

"Talk to her!" She whispered.

"You guys really gotta get better at whispering, y'know?" L/n said as she turned around in her seat.

"Oi, you in the back! Turn around!" The bus driver yelled from the front of the bus and L/n and I sat normally again.

"So, why does Mina want you to talk to me~?" L/n asked.

"Ah, well..." I considered telling L/n what the plan was, and leaned closer to her so Mina wouldn't hear, "Mina, Uraraka, Sero and Midoriya are gonna split everyone at the movies, leaving us together. They'll disappear after the movie, leaving us alone with an hour before dinner."

"Ah, I see. She's gonna say that it was a date and that we're going to the dance together, right?" She guessed.

"Yup."

She sighed, "I'm sorry about them."

"It's okay." I said, I honestly didn't mind going on a date with L/n, "We may as well make the best of it?"

"Yeah, I guess." She smiled at me.

We went back to our phones and day in a comfy silence.

"Shinsou?" L/n said and I looked at her, "Um... Do you mind if I lean on your shoulder? I'm feeling kinda tired and we've still got a while before we get there..."

"I don't mind." I said.

"Thanks!" She said and awkwardly shuffled closer to me then leaned her head on my shoulder.
She fell asleep within five minutes. L/n looked really soft when she sleeps.

"Smooth, isn't she?" Mina said from behind.

"Huh?"

"She can stay awake for days on end and go to sleep in command. And I know she slept last night." Mina wiggled her eyebrows at me.

"Whatever..." I said as ignored her. 

'She couldn't be...' I thought, then looked down at L/n. She was really cute...

(Y/n's pov)

I woke up from what I feel was an awkward dream when Shinsou shook my shoulder lightly.
"Um, we're here." He said as I opened my eyes.

"Ah, right." I said and yawned, "Oh, did I get any make up on your shirt?"

I checked Shinsou's shirt and saw no make up stains.

"Come on." Mina said and we got out our seat and off the bus.

"Okay, so if we're watching th movie first, we gotta go this way!" Mina said after a solid ten minutes trying to figure out the map of the mall by herself. We offered to help but she wouldn't take it.

"Do you know what we're seeing?" I whispered to Shinsou.

"Uh, I think it's a sad movie. I don't remember what it's called." He said.

"Ah, a sad movie... Mina really planned this well." I mumbled to myself.

"Okay guys, I had to book seats separate from each other. Here, Midoriya and Ochacco can have the seats here..." Mina handed tickets to everyone, "Shinsou and Y/n... And then me and Sero!"
I noticed Midoriya was looking a little nervous. He seemed to be avoiding Ochacco since this morning. He even had Sero standing in between them.

"Oh, we're at the back." Shinsou said looking at the tickets.

"The back is my favourite!" I said as we entered the cinema.

We waited in line for food together.

"Hey, should we get the couple's combo? 'Cuz if we split the price it's cheaper than anything else." I suggested as we looked at the food displayed on screens above the counter.

"Yeah okay." Shinsou said.

We walked up the stairs to our seats, right in the middle of the back row. I sat down and Shinsou did the same.

"Warning; I may cry." I said as I took a sip from my drink.

"Really?" Shinsou said as he took a small handful of popcorn.

"Yup, sad movie never fail to make me cry. No matter how bad they are." I explained with a small laugh.

It was just as the trailers and ads before the movie started playing when the cinema room started to actually fill up. Unfortunately, someone sat next to me. And also unfortunate, I knew them. 

"Oh, L/n~?" Their shitty little voice said.

"Oh. Monoma. Hello." I said in a monotone voice and focused on the trailers playing on the big screen.

"What could you be doing here?" He asked.

I was honestly about to get up and take someone else's seat when Shinsou joined the conversation.

"Don't you think she'd be here to a movie? Considering she is at a cinema?" He said to the pretentious blond next to me.

"Oh, you're Shinsou!" Monoma said, "What are doing her with L/n?"

"We're on a a date. So would you mind leaving us alone?" I said.

"Ah, of course! Sorry!" He said and paid attention to the giant screen.

I leaned over to Shinsou and whispered, "Sorry about him. He's just an asshole who, for some unknown reason, likes me."

"It's fine." Shinsou whispered back, "Uhm, if you don't want him to bother you, maybe we should act more like we're on a date?"

"How do we do that? I've never been on a date before?" I asked and Shinsou simply took my hand in his as the movie started playing. I was distracted for a good 15 minutes of the movie by Shinsou's strong hand.

Once I was finally paying attention, I was already crying. Someone's grandma had just died, I have no idea who's because I wasn't paying attention, but it was sad. Like, so sad. I felt tears toggle the edge of my eyes already.

I saw Shinsou's gaze direct at me at just that moment, like something told him one as sad. He squeezed my hand lightly and smiled a little at me.
