Lachlan's PoV
Vik has explained the powers he just learned, and I decided we should have a rest, since today was a absolutely tiring day. But right after that thought, a scientist came in holding a chair, opened the cell door and sat down.
"Hey there, experiments. It's finally time for me to explain the basic rules, so sit tight because this may take a while."
A while later and I'll explain the rules below~

- Try not to kill anything in savage mode
- Can only be outside of cell in 6am to 11pm
- Laboratory won't help with any fights or injuries
- Not suggested to make any friends and won't see anyone you know
- Not suggested to attack guards or else end in serious punishment
- Should never try to escape in midday or midnight or anytime in general
- Should never try to steal laboratory's possessions
- Laboratory wouldn't be responsible for any stealing or damages
- Not suggested to walk outside in half form since you may get spotted

A hour or something like that after~ (Lachlan's PoV)
Damn this talk took a long while, by a long while I mean a hour or two. There was times that I tried to escape but I hold myself back since I don't want any serious punishments. I've no clue why he purposely left the door open though, it's not like we want to screw ourselves over by leaving.
A sentence snapped me out of my thoughts and back to reality. "Lachy! You still here mate?" He said, snapping me fingers in front of my face, making me blink and shake my head a bit. "Yes, I was just thinking about something, don't need to worry about me Vik."
"He left a few minutes ago and noticed that you were staring into space, so he told me to remind you about the basic rules." He said, looking at me with a worried expression, "You sure you're aright? You look like you were thinking deep." "I'm fine." I lied, not wanting him to be worried. "I can tell you're lying Lachlan, just tell me the truth when you feel comfortable." He said, then went back to his bed in half form.
Vik's PoV
I laid on my bed, hugging the extra pillow that was on the ground before I picked it up. I know Lachlan zoned out for a certain reason, since he did it for at least 10 minutes, and he looked extremely puzzled.
I was about to drift into sleep, before I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Vikky you're holding my pillow mate." He mumbled, a bit of sleepiness can be heard from his voice. I released the pillow that was in my grip and levitate it onto his bed. He whisper a thanks under his breath and went to his bed. The scientist did say that we could have a nap and we'll have dinner two hours later. Right after that, darkness swirled my sight and I was asleep.
After sleep~
The sound of a huge bell ringing woke me up, and the sound echoed through out the whole laboratory. I can hear annoyed moans and groans from different hybrids around us, which meant they were awakened from their nap.
"Vik what's happening?" Lachlan asked, slowly sitting up in his bed, adjusting his eyes to the light of the surroundings by blinking. "It's the dinner bell. I think we're leaving now to eat." I replied, thinking about the scientist's words he said before he left again. "Is the door going to open then?" Right after his question, the cell door automatically opened and beeped us to leave. "Well that explains it..." He whispers to himself, and turned into full form and flew outside. I followed close behind in full form, stretching my wings while flying.
I soon took the lead since Lachlan has absolutely no clue where to go, and looked at the map of the laboratory in my mind. The scientist gave me a map for navigating this place, and somehow my powers let me recite it in my head. We took a few turns and noticed many others are walking or flying the same way, so I soon started following them instead of looking at the map.
A while later, we went to a intersection point where hybrids walked different ways. I stopped dead in my track and Lachlan bumped into me because of my sudden stoppage. "What was that for?" He exclaimed behind me, looking at me confused. "Which way do we go?" I asked, looking both ways again. "Well go randomly! I'm hungry mate!" He said impatiently, urging me to move. I noticed that carnivores went the left way and most herbivores went the right way, so I just assumed that it's vegetarians or meatatarians difference. We of course are meat eaters, so we went the right way.
Another while later cause I'm lazy~
Well the map is extremely accurate by saying that walking to dinner takes time, because my legs are already aching and finally I can see the hall with the meals. From this trip, I can tell that people are either in pairs or in groups, with guards up high and stares at others once in a while. I can feel the tense and hatred around me and I think brutal fighting and serious damage done that caused everyone to be so tensed.
We made it into the hall, and I must admit, this place is huge! There were a ton of dining tables with chairs around them, which are separated quite far from each other. Damn this place really wants us to make no friends I guess...
We walked over to the side of the huge hall and grabbed a tray, which I assumed was for holding our meals. There was a sign that said "Steak for tonight! First come first serve!" In a cool font, and lots of hybrids were howling or roaring in joy, running to the lineup of grabbing the meals. That means that either steak is absolutely heaven like or they only get good meals every once in a while. (A/N I made the meals great, because I wanna be nice to my hybrids)
After the meal for the bois~
The steak was amazingly delicious, a lot better than I expected. Although I normally don't have fancy meals, like literally we only eat like takeouts and other unhealthy fast food. (A/N I think they eat stuff like that, since they have daily uploads and editing.) What caught my eyes through out the meal was the others staring. I cut the steak into pieces with my claws, and some gave me weird looks. Well I've no clue where the utensils are so I went in with my talons, and Lachlan just ate a half in a bite, since a bird's beak has no teeth for chewing.
The main thing was others giving us threatening stares, and I don't know what is it about us, but they seem to have a bad image on us. Lachlan noticed this too and gave me a confused look, with confusion and fright in his blue eyes.
Walking back to the cells~
The trip back was... quite scary I guess? A group of six said that they would get one representative for their group for a duel in the main hall tomorrow, saying that the reason was we looking like a threat. Well that's one thing for looking forward to... Plus some pairs gave us intimidating hisses which caught me by surprise.
We're currently in our cell, with Lachlan already asleep in his bed, and quiet snoring can be heard. He seems so peaceful when he's sleeping, like there is no problems in the world. Me on the other hand is worried as fudge about the fight tomorrow, like they seemed experienced about fighting and wasn't kidding about this whole deal. I still went to sleep with doubts in my mind, making it hard to continue with my sleep.
