Lachlan's PoV
I woke up like usual, earlier than the morning bell. But the first thing I noticed was that the guards were in a bad mood today. They were sending death glares to some of the hybrids walking by, but most importantly they were threatening them.
I wonder what happened...?
I groaned as I slowly got off my bed, then noticed Vik who was laying next to me. I smiled a bit before slightly shaking him, trying to make him awake.
He mumbled some words before yawning, "Hey Lachlan, How was your sleep?" He greeted as he slowly sat up on the bed.
"It was decent after you slept next to me..." I stated with a slight blush visible on my face.
"That's nice to hear." He replied back, luckily he didn't notice my blush.
Right at that moment, the morning bell rang and all the cell doors were opened like normal, but one thing abnormal was that a few guards were walking in our direction, holding weapons of all sorts.
Two of them placed the same electric collars around our necks, the same one as the collars we saw on the first day here. And for some reason, I decided against struggling or escaping.
"What happened?" I asked, completely blindfolded about what's happening, as I try to not struggle since it'll end up worst. The guard next to me just replied with a grunt as he pulled me up to my feet forcefully.
Vik just looked at me with concern clearly in his eyes, before we got forced to start walking to wherever they're leading us.

A few minutes later~
Ugh... I've already got shocked twice and my body slightly aches... And the sad thing is that we're still not at our destination.
I just cursed under my breath as we continue walking, until we reached a dead-end. I looked at the wall, then the guards with a confused expression.
As if magic, the original wall suddenly disappeared and revealed another path that leaded somewhere else. The path had nearly no lighting, only some broken light bars on the sides that can't produce much light.
At this point I'm just getting more nervous, this place looks extremely creepy...
We were leaded to a slightly lit up room that had a surprising amount of guards in it compared to what I originally thought. Just as I thought of that, the door behind was slammed shut.
"EXPERIMENTS! You know what you're doing here already!" A booming voice shouted from the shadow, which soon revealed another guard which seemed a lot more higher ranked than the others I've seen.
"Umm... sorry sir. But we don't really know the reason-" Vik answered for both of us, but got cut off by the high ranked guard.
"Don't play dumb with me! You TWO were involved in the sudden lost of potions! And I have evidence!" He shouted, glaring at us with a devilish grin.
"W-What?" I stuttered, quietly gulped as I nervously gave him a smile. When did we leave any evidence...?
"THAT'S WHY YOU TWO ARE GOING TO STAY IN SOLITARY FOR A WEEK!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, before commanding some lower ranked guards to bring us to somewhere again.

More flipping minutes later~
I was thrown into a dirty cell harshly, and landed on the uncleaned ground with a loud thud. I gently rubbed my behind that was damaged from the throw before standing back up, looking at this room.
This cell was way tinier that the old cell Vik and I shared, and is a lot more untidied too. It had tons more security equipment around, with armed guards outside. But the basic stuff like bed and toilet from the last one was still here.
Well... I guess our another hope for escaping is destroyed...

Vik's PoV
I sat on the untidied bed in this cramped cell, looking up at the ceiling. We're pretty much doomed I guess... Flame won't be able to find us easily now, the boys won't even know what place this is, and Snack- Oh Wait! I think I can communicate with my soulpet through walls or anything in general right?
I took a deep breath, before closing my eyes and focusing, trying to find where he was. After a few tries, we managed to chat for a few seconds, before he knew my location and was coming for us.
I moved a few furnitures (if you can even call it that) to the nearest wall, creating a darkened shadow, making it easier for him to come over.
I sighed as I laid back down on the bed, waiting for his entrance, before I felt some slithery creature curl up next to me.
"Hey Vik~ I came here using the fastest shortcut already. And I think I have a plan..." Snack hissed out with a grin, leaving me a bit confused on what the plan was.

Hey there guys and gals, Flame here and here's another chapter! I'm sorry that this one's kinda short compared to the last ones, but since I've been losing motivation to write, I guess I wasn't in the mood for it. But don't worry, I'll of course complete this book first!
Also, I've been recently working on another fanfic, which I'll keep secret for now to you lot! So I guess stayed tune to that, and it'll be out in either June or July (I hope).
