Quick message from the author~

Sorry this update is a little late! I usually try to get one out once a week (every Sunday-ish), but school has got me dying right now so I don't have a lot of free time. I'm also working on a few original stories I might put up, plus, Fire Emblem Birthright and Conquest came out, so distractions are running high... Bah! Anyway! To make up for it, here's a longish chapter! Enjoy~

Also, WOW! Over 1K views! *celebrates* Thank you guys so much for reading, voting, and commenting! You guys are the best! I'll try to work on this story as much as possible in the future, so please be patient!

As always, let me know what you think in the comments! Thanks! Author out!

The next day, you were waiting at the zoo's entrance, fiddling with the chain around your neck. You were pretty nervous as you didn't actually know if anyone else wanted to come, so you couldn't help but fiddle with your hair and the ring around your neck. Only Sans and you knew the party was moving to the zoo, so you could only hope they'd all have fun. For the thousandth time you checked to make sure you had all twelve tickets- 2 human admissions and 10 monster. The only one not coming was Temmie, but that still let you with a pretty hefty list. You checked your watch, 9:58am, and made sure your outfit was on point for the hundredth time. You needed to go incognito for this outing, as did Mettaton. As such you were dressed in baggy, dark brown cargo pants, a black turtleneck under a navy vest, a brown tuke, and fake sunglasses. You engagement ring hun safely around your neck, which you usually kept tucked into your shirt. Hopefully no one would take too close of a look at you and see through your disguise.

Just then, Sans decided to appear in the stone square in front of you. You waved when he spotted you, then headed over while dropping the ring down your shirt. "Hey!" You greeted excitedly, coming to a stop in front of him.

"sup, kitten." He lifted his hand in a half wave. "so this is the place?"

"Yep! Is everyone over at your place?"

"almost, just waiting on Muffet but she should be there soon."

"Okay awesome."

"you got the tickets?"

"Yep!"

"ok, alpaca my bags and bring them over."

You giggled at his pun and waved as he disappeared again. You wondered how many animal puns and jokes Sans would managed to squeeze in before the day was done. You ended up waiting for another ten minutes before the group arrived. Sans grinned when he appeared and saw you again, ready to surprise the group. Only Frisk had her eyes covered, but when they saw where they'd ended up all the other monsters smiled.

"Surprise!" You cheered, throwing your hands up then quickly taking a picture of everyone's shocked faces. Frisk's eyes lit up, and the biggest grin you'd ever seen took over her face. You brought loads of film for this outing. Frisk sprinted forwards, arms wide, and you knelt down to accept her hug. When she let go she started signing rapidly to you. You tried to keep up with her fast moving hands, but what little you'd learned about sign language was of no help against her rapid movements.

"she's asking if this is her birthday surprise." Sans translated, coming forwards with the others.

"It sure is! I thought you might enjoy a day at the zoo with everybody."

She started signing again, a little slower. This time you got it. "Thank you!"

Before Sans could translate you answered her. "You're welcome." Frisk smiled happily upon realizing that you were learning sign language for her, and tugged you into another tight hug. When she let go, the others came over and surrounded you.

"This is gonna be AWESOME!" Undyne cried, pulling up up and into a headlock. You laughed as Papyrus glomped the two of you, lifting you up and spinning you around happily.

"NYEH HEH HEH! THIS IS SO EXCITING, LET'S GO!" He cheered, letting go just as quickly and grabbing Frisk before running to the gates. Undyne, Alphys, Muffet and Nabstablook followed quickly after them.

"Wait! You forgot your tickets!" You tried to call after them, but they were already too far away.

"Don't worry, we'll catch up with them at the gates." Mettaton grinned. His disguise consisted of a dark pea-coat, newsboy cap, sunglasses and form fitting jeans. It was an unusually look for him, but worked well as a disguise. He gave you a quick half hug, "Great idea by the way darling," and then headed after the others.

Toriel greeted you with a warm hug. "Frisk's mentioned the zoo before, but we've never had the chance to go. Thank you."

"I'm glad I thought of it." You smiled. Asgore shook your hand after Toriel let go, Flowey, who was being carried by the king, hissed at you. "It's nice to see the two of you again." You smiled, undeterred. The three of them then went to meet up with the main group, who were now yelling at you to hurry up. You followed behind Toriel and Asgore, Sans walking beside you. When you reached the gate, you produced the tickets from your bag and passed them around. Most of the monsters wanted to take their own tickets through the gate. You all got in with no problems, and you were glad you assumed Flowey was actually a monster and gotten him a ticket. Once inside, you snagged a map and handed it to Undyne, who quickly got into a heated argument about where to go first with Frisk and Papyrus. Toriel quickly diffused the situation, suggesting that Frisk chose since it was her birthday. The others quickly agreed. So off to the petting zoo area you went. Once again as you walked Sans fell into step beside you.

"Thanks for helping me set this up." You started, watching as the others drew a little ahead of you.

"no problem. it was a good idea."

"I hoped so." You smiled.

"YOU TWO ARE SO SLOW!" Papyrus yelled from ahead, waving rapidly as he tried to spur you onwards towards the gate. You laughed at his antics and started jogging, quickly reaching the others. You then spun and waved to Sans, who was still lagging.

"Come on lazy-bones!"

Without waiting, everyone decided to go inside. The petting area consisted of a smaller pens with different animals inside that you could reach over at pet. There were also two larger pens, one with both adult and baby goats. It looked like you came at a good time, as the babies were adorable. The other larger pen was full of bunnies and guinea pigs. Papyrus ran off to try to lure a horse over to him, saying they were the most majestic of creatures or something, and Undyne joined him with Alphys. The rest of you followed, but soon everyone was branching off to their own favourite animals. Nabstablook, Muffet, and Mettaton ended up heading over to where they kept the sheep, while Toriel, Asgore, Flowey and Frisk went to hang with the goats. You followed them at first, laughing when they had to put Flowey up somewhere high lest the goats try to eat him. The tree seemed to enjoy the pen, and the goats loved them. Asgore sat down on a log at one point and was soon swarmed by both adults and baby goats. It was adorable. But soon you were drawn over to the bunny pen, happily sitting down among the balls of fuzz with Sans. For some reason the bunnies seemed to love Sans, and soon he was being surrounded by them.

"help," he said as the bunnies attempted to climb up his shirt. "i'm drowning in cute."

You laughed, and went back to snuggling one of the floppy eared bunnies. All too soon the group was finished and wanted to move onto some of the other exhibits.

Next, you went over to the bear cages. There were grizzlies, black bears, and even some endangered pandas. The pandas seemed pretty happy in their enclosed space, climbing on trees and just showing off their usual bear cuteness. Unfortunately the grizzlies and black bears were preparing for hibernation, so they weren't really that active. This is when Sans decided to break out the puns.

"you know, i wonder why the koala's aren't in here."

"SANS." Papyrus warned, knowing what was coming.

"they have all the koalifications."

"SANS STOP!"

"though, i guess if they were it would turn into pandamonium."

"I WILL NOT LET YOU RUIN THIS DAY WITH PUNS!"

"what? my puns aren't that unbearable."

Papyrus threw up his hands and let out a cry, then promptly ran off with some of the others in tow, heading straight to the bird enclosure. You laughed at both the puns and Papyrus' reaction. Sans started laughing as well, and soon the two of you were being left behind.

"Come on, owl bet you can think up some great puns in there." You said once your laughter finally died off a bit. Sans grinned at your attempt to make a pun and the two of you followed after the group.

After that, the day passed all too quickly. Frisk seemed to want to hit every inclosure, and even though it took you at least five hours no one seemed to mind all the walking. By the end of the day, everyone seemed to have chosen a favourite animal. Frisk definitely decided she liked the elephants best, Papyrus was drawn to the giraffes, Toriel liked the butterflies, Asgore liked the goats from the petting zoo, Undyne said the lions were the most fearsome, Alphys was intrigued by the apes, Sans had a good chuckle over the llamas and alpacas, Flowey hated everything, Muffet identified with the spiders and tarantulas, and Nabstablook found the sloths interesting. Personally you liked the (fav animal) the best. Throughout the day, Sans continued to drop pun after pun, thinking of at least two for each area in the park, much to Papyrus' dismay. Because of this, you were laughing pretty much the whole day, dropping bad puns and jokes along with him as you could think them up. Toriel also joined in on the fun, laughing and joking right along side the two of you throughout the day. At one point, Papyrus got so mad that the group ended up ditching the two of you by the lions, prompting one of your favourite lines from Sans.

"well, i'd be lion if i said this wasn't hawkward." You laughed for a good five minutes after that. So, the two of you ended up wandering the zoo together, both trying to find the others and just enjoying the cool December air. You were lucky not to live in a place where winter was all snow and -20 degree celsius (or -4 fahrenheit) weather. The weather was sunny but pleasantly cool with no wind, so it made walking outside enjoyable. Whenever the two of you ran into the other group, Papyrus would always take off in the opposite direction. Neither you or Sans minded, and it was kind of funny to see how desperate Papyrus was to avoid the puns. Eventually though, Papyrus seemed to forgive Sans and let you rejoin the group.

"I FORGIVE YOU SANS." He declared loudly over lunch. Everyone had wanted a bit of a break, and decided that you should probably eat at the same time.

"aw, ewe shouldn't have."

"NEVER MIND. I DON'T FORGIVE YOU AT ALL."

Everyone laughed, and everyone went back to eating. Sans did, you noticed, let up on the puns a little bit after that, and Papyrus seemed to let the ones he did let out slide. The day progressed rather nicely after that. You and Mettaton managed to remain under the radar, acting like your average everyday citizens enjoying their day at the zoo. The group traveled to the remaining few exhibits, then stopped so Frisk could play on the large jungle gym. Though the park was meant for kids 3-12, it didn't stop Papyrus, Undyne, Flowey, Muffet and Nabstablook from joining in on the fun. It was quite funny watching Papyrus try to fit into the too small corridors as he chased after Frisk and Flowey, who was once again being balanced on her head (much to his dismay). You and Sans had gotten ice cream while you were waiting for the 'kids' to finish on the jungle gym, and was happily eating (fav/flavour) in a wafflecone. Asgore, Toriel, Alphys and Mettaton hadn't gotten any, saying it was too cold for the frozen treat. In your opinion it was never too cold for ice cream. Sans had gotten a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone, and was complaining about not having a ketchup flavoured one. By this time, Toriel, Asgore, Alphys and Mettaton had gone off to chat and play with the others while you finished off your treat.

"What would ketchup ice cream even taste like?" You asked in between licks.

"like ketchup, duh." Sans answered, and you laughed.

"Why would you even want that flavour?"

"cause it'd be good."

"You're so weird."

"says the one eating (f/f) ice cream."

You gasped exaggeratedly. "(f/f) is clearly the best flavour out there!"

"sounds weird to me."

"Obviously you've never tried it then." You huffed, taking another lick. If someone didn't like (f/f) they were crazy if you did say so. "Here, try some." You offered the ice cream cone to Sans, thinking nothing of it. Sans eyed the cone, looking a little nervous. "Oh come on, it's just ice cream." You insisted with a roll of your eyes. Sans made a face but leaned forwards to take a bite anyway. Right before he could you saw the opportunity to shove the ice cream into his face, which you did, smearing it on his teeth and around his nose. His reaction was absolutely priceless- definitely worth sacrificing the ice cream for. He let out a startled yelp and nearly fell off the bench backwards. You burst out laughing as Sans' shocked expression turned into a glare, and you tossed the rest of the cone in a nearby garbage as you wiped away tears.

"you think that's funny huh, kitten?" He said, voice dark but joking. Before you could respond he shoved his own ice cream into your face. It smeared against your cheek, nose, upper lip and even got onto your glasses.

It was extremely cold, and you let out a sharp "Hey!" when it connected to your skin. There was a brief moment of silence as you just stared at each other, the ice cream, slowly dripping down your faces. Then you both burst out laughing, and you continued to laugh until Mettaton strode over. The look he gave you after seeing the two of you prompted another fit of laughter. He gave you a disapproving look, then said, "Do I even want to know what happened here?"
"Help, " you managed to get out between gasps of laughter. "I've been assaulted."
"it was very dairy!" Sans added, making you laugh harder.
"Mettaton did you find-" Toriel started, coming over. When she saw then state you two were in she stopped and stared blankly. "Oh my, what happened to the two of you?"
"have you tried this stuff? ice-creamed it's so good." Sans answered, earning more giggles from you.

Mettaton sighed deeply. "Well, it looks like these two need a minute to clean up." He said to Toriel, the turned to the two of you. "Meet us in the petting area when you don't have ice cream all over your faces, okay?"
"Sure thing!" You smiled, wiping some of the frozen treat off your cheek and flicking it in Sans' direction. He got ready to do the same but Mettaton interrupted.
"No, you're not starting a food fight in the middle of the zoo. Of with you. Shoo." He flapped his hands in you direction, prompting you to move.

You and Sans got up, then headed in the direction of the bathrooms, swiping so napkins on the way. "Oh wait!" You exclaimed just before Sans started at the ice cream on his face. "We should take a picture."

"why?"

"So we can remember how ridiculous we looked, duh." Before he could protest you pulled out your camera and leaned in close. "Smile!" You grinned, looking into the camera. When Sans smiled wide you snapped a picture, engraving the image of the two of you covered in ice cream into the instant film forever. "Perfect! I'll send you a copy later." You said, beginning to wipe the ice cream off your face. Once you reached the washrooms you went your separate ways, shouldering open the heavy doors and going inside. Luckily the bathroom was pretty much empty at this time. You headed to the very last sink and glanced at your reflection, then set to work scrubbing off the rest of the melted, sticky ice cream. When your face was good you moved onto getting out some from your hair, then set about cleaning the fake glasses. All set you replaced you cap and headed out to meet the others.

Sans was already waiting for you outside the washroom, having less ice cream to clean off in the first place. He was staring at his phone, looking like he was looking at something or texting on his phone. You couldn't help yourself to another opportunity for shenanigans. As quietly as you could you snuck up behind him, creeping around the bench he had his back to. He didn't even notice your approach- he was too busy staring at the screen. You were tempted to peek at what he was looking at, but instead decided to use the opportunity for scaring him.

"BOO!" You yelled as close to your ear as you could, jabbing him hard in the shoulder at the same time. He jumped at least a foot in the air, spinning, then tripping, then landing on his back on the ground. You stared at him for a second, then burst out laughing. "Oh my gosh that was perfect!"

Sans remained where he was, sitting on the ground with this blank expression on his face. You continued to laugh for a second, then moved forwards to help him up. "Sorry," you giggled, offering a hand to him. "It was just too good a chance to pass up."
His wide eyes turned into a slight scowl. "oh really? well, i hope you're prepared then." He said in warning, grabbing your hand and using that to help pull him up.
"For what?" You asked, keeping a smile plastered to your face but wondering what the warning meant.
"to finish what you started!" He grinned, before suddenly disappearing. You spun in a slow circle, getting his meaning immediately. He didn't appear for a few minutes, but when he did it was behind you. He gave you a quick kidney shock, which hurt quite frankly, and laughed when you yelped and jumped.
"No fair!" You protested, spinning around and grabbing onto the edge of his hood so you could pull it up over his eyes.
He laughed again and slid his hood back, not quite taking it off his head. "don't start something you can't finish kitten, otherwise you'll get a shocking result."
You stuck out your tongue at him and shoved his hood back down over his eyes, making him laugh again. The two of you continued to joke and laugh during the time it took you to walk over to the petting zoo area. Once you were there, you decided to run ahead to find the rest of the group. For now, the war would be put on hold.

You found them a few minutes later in the goat pen, laughing as they tried to see how many goats would stand on Asgore's wide shoulders. Frisk and Undyne were up to five as Papyrus went around trying to collect more young goats. Everyone else was standing off to the side, petting and feeding the goats that wandered over. The caretakers seemed nervous, but weren't intervening as the goats could hop off Asgore as they pleased.
When you waved a greeting, Frisk quickly ran over and grabbed your hands, trying to gather everyone around Asgore and the goats for a picture. Mettaton waved one of the caretakers over so they could take the pictures for you, then came over to join the group. You ended up seated beside Asgore, with Undyne and Mettaton standing dramatically beside you. Papyrus, Sans, Muffet and Alphys were further in the back and to the sides, while Toriel, Flowey, Nabstablook and Frisk were on Asgore's other side. You all smiled, and the caretaker snapped about four photos- one for each varying poses the group did on one phone and your camera. The rest of you would all get the photos via email later. They gave back Mettaton's phone, and you helped clear off the six goats still balancing on Asgore's shoulders and trying to eat the collar of his shirt. Once they were all down, the twelve of you waved goodbye to the goats and other assorted animals allowed to be pet and finally exited the zoo.

As you walked through the exit you stretched your hands over your head before Frisk ran over and wrapped her arms around your waist in a tight hug. When she leans back, she starts to sign something rapidly that you can't quite catch all of. You made out 'thank you' and something about her birthday, but your signing skills were still sub standard as you had only just begun to learn. "I'm sorry Frisk, I didn't quite catch all that." You apologized, "I'm not that good at reading sign language yet."

"She's saying thank you for bringing everyone to the zoo." Toriel quickly jumped to the rescue. "She really enjoyed it and says it was the best birthday present so far."

"Well, that's only until she opens OUR presents!" Undyne declared. You decided with Sans before hand that the presents from everyone else would be collected at the house to be opened after the zoo.

You giggled a little. "While I'm glad you enjoyed the zoo, Frisk."

"I think I can speak for everyone when I say we all enjoyed this little outing, darling." Mettaton purred.

"Should we head back then?" Asgore asked, once again holding Flowey under his arm.

"Sounds good to me!" Muffet smiled.

"alright, let's go then." Sans sighed, cracking his neck and offering out his hands. Everyone gathered up around him, grabbing eachothers hands and creating a huge clump of monsters. Frisk had one of his Sans hands, and you were holding onto her other one as well as Mettaton's. Once everyone was ready Sans' eye flared blue and you felt a bit of pressure building behind your eyes. You pinched them shut, and when you opened them again you were inside Sans and Papyrus' house. One by one everyone split off from each other.

"Let's get the second half of this party STARTED!" Undyne roared, pointing at Nabstablook. The ghost jumped, but floated over to the skele-bros speaker system and started up the music anyway. Other than Sans, it appeared these monsters had no end to their stamina. Sans, as per usual, went over to the couch and sprawled out over it, taking up his usual two spaces and falling asleep.

"W-what would you like to do first Frisk?" Alphys asked, going to stand by the excited child.

Frisk ran over to the large stack of presents and pulled one box out from the middle of the pile. That started a mini-avalanche, sending the other packages bouncing across the floor.

"Oh dear," Toriel sighed, moving to right the mess. Asgore let out a hearty laugh.

"I guess it's present time then."

Frisk clapped happily, bouncing up and down and running to the center of the room. Everyone else gathered up around her, finding their gift to her and carrying it over. Papyrus also grabbed what you assumed was Sans' gift and tossed it to his lazy brother. Sans saluted him, then went back to napping. You pulled your second gift to Frisk out from your purse, and went to join the circle of monsters around Frisk. You picked your way through the monsters, and pushed Sans feet off the couch so you could take a seat between him and Mettaton. Sans opened one eye to peer at you, then just put his feet back over your lap when you were seated. You pushed them off once, but didn't bother a second time when his feet went right back to where they were.

"Alright Frisk, why don't you choose who goes first?" Mettaton urged her. She nodded happily and hopped over to Nabstablook, who hovered nearby. He gave her his present, which she tore into eagerly, revealing a collection of homemade CDs. Frisk thanked and gave him a hug, then went to the next person.

The presents were opened in quick succession after that, and each made Frisk beam happily and throw her arms around the giver. Undyne got her a small training spear, Alphys gave her a copy of her favourite anime on disk, Toriel's gift revealed some sweets and a book, Flowey grudgingly handed her a cute set of flower shaped hair-clips, Papyrus got her a cozy red scarf and mitten set, Asgore handed over some herbal teas, Sans gift (wrapped in newspaper comics) was a large purple sweater, Mettaton gave her a professional looking makeup kit, and Muffet's was a small, heart-themed tea dish set. Your gift was unwrapped last, and Frisk immediately got where it was from. She hugged you tightly, then immediately asked for you to help her put it on. She was already wearing every gift that she could, and it was absolutely adorable seeing her swimming in the sweater, the large scarf wrapped around her neck and many of the clips fastened to her hair. You couldn't resist snapping a quick photo of her on your phone.

After that, Toriel announced that it was time for cake. Once again, you decided to follow her into the kitchen to help set it up and to bring in the plates and forks. While the two of you were bringing things out of the kitchen, everyone else continued to laugh and joke around in the living room. You stuck ten candles into the chocolate cake and colourful frosting, then lit them with a match. Toriel carried out the cake, and you turned off the light before starting the round of 'Happy Birthday to You'. Everyone quickly joined in, and Frisk blew out the candles all but one in one breath.

"Oooooo, Frisk's got a boyfriend." Mettaton teased, prompting Frisk to smile as she blew out the last candle.

"I should hope not." Toriel scoffed before cutting apart the cake.

"WAIT FRISK HAS A BOYFRIEND? WHO IS IT?" Papyrus jumped in as he passed Toriel the plates.

"I-I don't think she actually has a boyfriend Papyrus." Alphys answered.

"It's just a birthday myth. Any candles you don't blow out represent the number of boyfriends or girlfriends you have." You explained, helping Toriel had out the cake. Of course, Frisk got the first and largest slice. She nodded in agreement to what you said before starting on her slice. You then handed out the rest of the slices until everyone had one. The cake tasted amazing, and soon enough people were finishing off their first piece and going for their second. You even had a second small helping yourself, splitting the very last amount of cake with Sans. After that, you got up to help Toriel with the dishes. You washed, and Toriel dried and put the dishes away. In the other room the partygoers got the karaoke machine out at starting going at it- probably in another compitition of some sort started by Undyne. You and Toriel washed in silence for a moment before she finally spoke up.

"I have a question to ask you, child."

"Go ahead," you answered brightly.

"Are you by any chance engaged?"

That caught you by surprise. You weren't exactly used to people asking that as you tried to keep the ring hidden. A quick glance down confirmed that your ring had pulled free from your shirt and was glinting against you darker clothes. You wondered how many of the others had noticed. "I am," you confessed, trust Toriel with the information completely. "But please don't tell anyone else. It's supposed to be a secret. That's why I wear the ring around my neck."

"Congratulations, and do not fear, I won't speak of it to anyone else. But, if I may ask, why is it a secret?"

You sighed deeply. You debated for a second on telling Toriel everything, and ultimately decided it was okay. She always struck you as extremely motherly and trustworthy, plus you knew she'd been married once herself. Maybe she could give you some advice. "Mitchell, my fiance, is a fairly private guy. He doesn't want to make our relationship public until after we're actually married."

"Do you have a date in mind?"

"No. See the trouble is I don't want to get married until after we go public. I kind of feel like he has to be willing to take that last step before our relationship does." Toriel nodded, but remained silent. You finished up the last of the dishes in the sink, then turned to Toriel. "Do you think I'm being ridiculous?"

Toriel looked at you, her gaze not at all judgemental. "Not at all. Marriage is a very serious decision and if you feel like that's something you need out of Mitchell before you commit then I think that's completely acceptable. It should be something you feel is right with your entire heart. When Asgore and I married, I knew it was the right thing to do."

"Do you ever regret it?" You knew the story between the two of them. Mettaton had told you a while ago that Toriel and Asgore had been married a long time ago, but do to certain circumstances they split up. They got along now and were working through their problems, but weren't back together yet.

For a second Toriel's gaze became distant and somber. She returned a moment later with a sigh. "At times, but no matter what happened I always knew I'd go back to him."

"Even now?"

She let out a light giggle. "Even now. But don't tell him I said that." She whispered then end and you nodded with a smile. "So, if I may say so, if Mitchell doesn't want to go the extra mile, then he may not be right for you. You are young, so don't feel like you need to jump into marriage before you're completely ready."

"(y/n) COME AND SING WITH US!" Papyrus yelled from the other room, startling you both out of the serious conversation.

"It seems we need to teach these wannabe's another lesson!" Mettaton added, earning him some threats and booing from Undyne and Papyrus.

Toriel laughed lightly and you sighed with a smile. "Thanks for listening, and for the advice Toriel."

"No problem my child. Why don't you go play, I can finish up here."

"Get your butt out here, punk!" Undyne hollered at you. "Or I'm coming in to get you!"

"I better go, wouldn't want to disappoint the fans." You shrugged in a joking manner. Toriel smiled at you and began putting away the last of the dishes. You smiled at her back, then turned towards the door and headed into the living room. You were immediately dragged into a lively round of karaoke, pairing up with Mettaton once again for a singing battle royal.

By then end of the night, you were content and exhausted, but even as you were returned home your mind wouldn't stop running over what Toriel had said. You were completely committed to Mitchell, but something about how she said him not being right for you stuck in your mind. Was she right? And if so, how could you know? Mitchell was all you ever had, and as such you didn't know what it felt like to like someone else and experience heartbreak. You always assumed that what you had with Mitchell was love, but now you were questioning it. No. You thought firmly as you tried to get some sleep. What Mitchell and I have is real love- and someday we'll find the middle ground we need to go all the way.
