Night POV

I never did figure out why Mid kept avoiding me. Thinking back on it i regret not trying to talk to her sooner, before she disappeared...the same way Day did.. I shake my head. Anyways school ended a couple days ago and right now im just sitting on the couch being a lazy shit.

I heard the door slam shut accomponied by a string of curses. My dad soon stormed into the living room and threw His mug at the wall and i caught it with my tail "hey dad." I said, not really giving a damn. I probably shouldnt have said that though because when Hes angry, things break. Usually me or my things.

He turned to me and glared. I glared back. "Shirt" He ordered and i sighed heavily, standing up and taking off my sweater, revealing tge scars i had from previous beatings. I winced to myself thinki ng about it as i heard Him grab the knife and walk back in.  He took the knife and glided the blade across my back, the cold metal making me shiver. He pressed down lightly and i inhaled sharply as he continued drawing a long line down my back, tgen removing the knife, and starting the process over. I stood there while he cut away at my back for a good hour and a half. When he finaly stopped my back was littered with more cuts to become scars and blood leaking onto the floor and soaking into the carpet "Your to clean this mess up in 10 minutes, then get me dinner and some beer." He ordered and i nodded slightly taking my sweater ans puting it back on, the cuts stinging from the cotton and contact. I went to the kitchen and grabbed the bleach and rag, heading back into the living room i unscrewed the cap and dumped bleach on the floor, soaking up the extra with the rag and headingback to the kitchen, i made dinner

Night POV ~~timeskip~~

I was walking around the nearby woods when i heard footsteps. I froze and strained my senses to track the noise. I nearly had a heart attack when i moticed the sound comeing from behind me and heard a girl scream in fear, i sprung into action and did a 180°, running in the direction of the scream. When i saw who was in the grass, sobbing and with cuts and gashes all over being chased by scientists, i froze, paralyzed with shoch and worry and fear all at once. The girl i saw, was none other, than Midnight. But something was off about how she looked amd i noticed that she had golden ears and a golden tail..they looked exactly like D̷̛̪̠̘̜̱͂̌͐̃͐̒̈́̈́̀̊͐̂̈́́͗̿͂͗͂̉́̇̒́̕͘͘͜͠a̷̺̠̼̭̣̰̰̣͓͚̭̹̻͖̜̬͍̗͈̺̗̅́̓̀̅́̈́͛̐͝y̶̧̳̩̑̍̆̆̕͠͝͝'̵̹̩̖͇̙̠͖̥͚͖̻̟̯̔̒̐̓̾̔͆̔̏̇͝͝ŝ̷̖͓͓̭̱̪̺͉̭̲̩̲̟̺̲̪͇̩̼̺̘̹̫̤͒̍̈́͆̒̀̈́̈́̍͗͛̆̈́̐̈́̈͂͆̊́̑̑̑͑͛͐͂̈̌̉̚͘͜͝͠ͅ and tail..

I snapped out of it when the scientists got too close to her and i rans to her and quickly picked her up before they could touch her "S T A Y. O F F. H E R." I ordeem in a low voice as my wings spread. The fisrt scientist made an excited comment "that would be-" "- an interesting new specimen!" The second scientist finished i groweled at them and took flight, gracefully gliding above the trees. I spotted my special tree and gently landed there, gently being i damn ner crashed down and hurt both me and Mid more than we already were. I groaned and  over, her being on my chest as she stirred and whimpered quietly, her ears going back and her tail swishing unhappily, she then opened her eyes and stared at me, registering my face and blinking the sleepiness away "Ya like what ya see?" I asked her, a smirk pulling at my face. "W-WHAT?! (666 words ;) )" she yelled and noticed our postion, scrambli ng off of me "Aww come on! I qas just teasing ya Mid!" I laughed as she froze, her ears twitching "Awwww, whats wrong, Mid?" I asked, still chuckling and her face changed to something.. sad? 'Why would she be sad?' "Mid? Midnight!" I asked waving a hand in front of her face and she snapped out of it "Thats not my name!" She growled slightly, her voice raising a few pitches (is that the correct term?) and her ears going back.

"What do ya mean Mid? Thats what I've always called ya'?" I stated/asked. She shook her head "you always called me 'Sunny Day'! And then my parents had to fucking move away and get my appearence changed, that way they'd never have to be ashamed of how i looked again!" She yelled, tears forming in the corners of her eyes "they didnt change Sun but they had to change me! I was five for fucks sake! Then the war had to start and they had to go fight, leaving us alone for two years, then they had to die on us. Send those damned scientists after us to take us 'Home'" she spat the word 'home' in disgust "locking us away for eight years, and MURDERING my BROTHER and my FRIENDS!.. all the while turning me into a monster, an abomination.. they... they murdered Gray..." she whispered "they ripped away my step-in father.. then my brother.. he was only nine years old.. they had ripped away everyone i cared about, and i was going to do the same to them." She growled as teared streamed ddown her cheeks.

~~Midnights pov~~

I hugged myself tightly and sobbed silently as Night sat there, opening and closing him mouth "S̷i̷s̵.̴.̸.̴" Sun whispered to me and floated down, hugging me "I̴t̸'̷l̷l̷ ̴b̴e̴ ̸o̵k̶.̶.̴s̷h̷h̸.̴.̷i̶t̶s̴ ̸o̵k̵.̶.̵c̵a̷l̸m̴ ̵d̶o̶w̵n̴" he murmured and hugged me, petting my ears. I started to purr through my tears and Night looked confused. Oh yea.. to him it looks like im purring for no reason.. forgot about that "O̶h̴ ̴w̸o̷o̶w̵,̷ ̵g̵o̸o̴d̶ ̴j̴o̵b̴ ̴s̸i̸s̴." Sun said sarcastically "shut up." I murmured to him, blushing lightly in embarrassment "N̶n̴n̵a̵a̵a̷h̴h̴h̶h̷,̴ ̷i̵m̶ ̵g̴o̴o̵d̶ ̸:̵3̴" he replied "screww youuu" i grumbled, annoyed at him "W̷h̶a̶t̸ ̷a̵b̸o̴u̴t̴ ̴h̷i̸m̶?̸ ̷I̷ ̸t̷h̷o̵u̴g̴h̷t̴ ̵y̴o̴u̵ ̴l̴i̷k̴e̸d̷ ̶h̴i̴m̶?̴" Sun asked me, pointing at Night and my face erupted in red "OMG NOOOOO!!"

Night jumped at my sudden outburst and squeaked, yes thats right- he SQUEAKED as i started ranting in gibberish at the ghost in my head and Sun laughed so hard at my embarrassment that he actually started crying ghost tears and started to become a more visable, visable enough for Night to see him and yell something close to 'who the fuck is that?!' and i finished my rant and movied to sweater town, screaming into my legs and Night pokes me "miiiiddd come outttt!" "Nooooooooooooo!" I yelled, my voice muffled from the sweater.
