Vol. 1 - The Stray (Part 2)

After Y/N had shared his secret from the three girls of RWBY, not even showing the other two members of his team, he had left. The only answer they received from him was, "Going on a walk."

The three girls look to Owain, who had been staring out the window this whole time. His hands rested on his hip, a long sigh leaving his lips.

Yang: ...Hey, Owain?

Owain: Yeah?

Yang: ...Do the other two know? You know...

Owain: ...No...no, they don't.

Yang: Then how long have you known?

Owain: ...Since I knew him. After all, I was there when it happened. The only thing I regret was not being able to help him escape those bastards. (turns to the three) I'm assuming you want to hear the story?

Ruby and Yang nodded, curious as to why Y/N had always shown animosity towards Weiss Schnee. Though it wasn't a surprise when the faunus always looked down on the Schnee family and the Dust company. Considering the rumored practices that always occur. Little did they know, those practices were true to a certain extent.

Weiss on the other hand didn't necessarily care, but she was curious as well. For as long as she knew, the Schnee Dust Company had supposedly treated their workers with care. So to her, she thinks Y/N was lying.

After hearing their responses, Owain sighs as he turns to look at them, leaning up against the desk.

Flashback, Nine Years Ago...

Owain's Narration: If I remember correctly, it was about nine years ago. But three years before that, I met Y/N when I was walking out of the orphanage I lived at. There he was, running the streets with a mischievous grin with another girl. She had mint green hair with red eyes. We just called her Emm. Those two were...well, I guess you could say "rascals." Though it wasn't a surprise. Those two didn't have a home, so they always roamed the streets of Mistral, stealing to survive.

A young Y/N and and a young girl with green hair and red eyes, known as Emm, were seen running the streets. The two had grins on their faces as they made off with several fruits in their hands, running as fast as they could from a local merchant, who was chasing after them but wasn't able to keep up with their speed.

Owain's Narration: I ended up following them to their hideout. And by hideout, it was just a small tent in the woods out from the city's walls.

The scene then shows to a young Owain, standing in front of Y/N and Emm, the two thieves standing cautiously and on alert as the young blonde walked up to them with a smile.

Owain's Narration: I ended up talking to them and offered them to take them back to the orphanage I lived in. They seemed skeptical about it. I mean, who would take up the offer of some random kid that you don't know? In the end, they followed me, but were still on guard. I don't blame them. They thought I was going to rat them out to the Mistral Police. But when I took them back to the orphanage, the caretaker, Annie, had welcomed them with open arms. As did with the rest of the children.

The scene then shows the caretaker of the orphanage and the children living there, including Owain, welcoming Y/N and Emm into the orphanage. The younger children were parading and jumping on them with smiles while the two thieves having sheepish smiles.

Owain's Narration: And so, we had two new additions to the family. It wasn't long after that I would join in on their shenanigans. I mean, I wouldn't join them on their thieving adventures, but I would join them on their little pranks. Which was heading to the higher levels of Mistral and throwing eggs and paints on the nobles houses, messing with them, what dumb kids would usually do. We had fun.

A young Y/N, Owain, and Emm could be seen throwing paint and eggs at the nobles' houses, sometimes throwing tomatoes from the roofs as they would laugh as they sped away. Cheerful grins were on their faces as they did so.

Owain's Narration: A few years later, Emm would later end up being separated from us so it was just me and Y/N doing our usual fun. But...it was...it was when our usual antics that would end up being a mistake. One day, a big shot guy from Atlas came in to check on the nearby Dust mine. Today, it's inoperable. Y/N and I thought it would be funny if we messed with him, so we went with our usual antics. But we messed up. That big shot from Atlas was actually the head of the SDC himself. Jacques Schnee.

Weiss: (inputting herself in the story) My father?

Owain's Narration: Yeah. Like I said, at the time, we were just dumb kids. Dumb kids doing dumb things.

A young Owain and Y/N could be seen throwing tomatoes at Jacques Schnee, the two laughing. But their laughter would soon cease as they looked up at the white haired man, hints of fear in their eyes.

Owain's Narration: While he was pretty mad, he was very enraged with Y/N. As we pretty much know, Jacques hates the faunus with a passion. So he grabbed Y/N by his ears and starts to pull him away. I tried to help, but I was rendered useless.

Jacques could be seen grabbing Y/N by the ears and pulling him away from Owain. The young white fox faunus cries in pain as he reaches out for Owain, Owain doing so as well. Unfortunately for the young blonde, he was being restrained to the muddy floor by two Atlas bodyguards of Jacques.

Owain's Narration: I watched helplessly as they dragged Y/N away. Truth be told, it was my fault. I was the one that suggested to Y/N about messing with him. He seemed to be skeptical about the idea, but I goaded him into it. Later that night, I followed them to the old Dust mine. I can never forget what they did to the faunus workers there, especially to him.

The young Owain had a horrified look as he gazed at the mine from afar. The faunus working their were beaten, starved, and when they were hauling mine carts of Dust out of the cave, sometimes the executives and mangers that worked there would kick them down.

Owain's Narration: Y/N got the worst of it. Every other week, they'd give the faunus food. But every two weeks, Y/N would get small scraps of food. And daily, he'd be beaten and tortured. They kicked him down while trying to move carts, ran sharp blades across his arms when he was trying to relax. They did all kinds of horrified things.

The scene showed Y/N crying in pain as he was whipped, kicked in his ribs, chest, everywhere where they could hit him. It would then show them running knives across the skin on his arms, Y/N's pleas of trying to stop them. But the Dust workers would only watch in amusement and laugh. The other faunus workers watched in horror, their eyes showing concern as they wanted to help the young fox faunus. But what could they do?

Owain's Narration: I could've done something. I could've moved to try and save him. But after I had formulated some sort of plan and tried to enact it, I would freeze up. No matter how much I told myself to move, or tried to force myself to move, there was nothing I could do. I just froze and stood there, watching everything. After about a week of being there, Y/N tried to fight back. Jacques had left for Atlas, so it was just the executives. They had an idea, thinking it was a way for Y/N to never talk back to them or even rebel against them. So they did something to ensure and make him remember.

A young Y/N could be seen struggling, trying to wiggle his way free as fear was present in his eyes. A sadistic grin was on one of the Dust worker's face, him walking towards Y/N with a branding iron in his hand.

Worker: This is just a reminder. A reminder of who you belong to.

Y/N: Please, no! I-I'll do anything! No, stay away!

Y/N's scream of pains fill the air as the human works of the SDC laugh. Behind a wall, Owain had tears running down his face, his hand covering his mouth.

Flashback End

Owain was then staring out the window once more, his hands on the desk as tears leave his eyes. Yang, Ruby, and Weiss stare at him in disbelief, horrified of the story they heard.

Owain: ...I can still hear his pained screams every time I go to sleep. It's burned into my memories. Afterwards, the White Fang ended up raiding the place and I was able to save him with the help of a chameleon faunus. I can't remember her name, but I'm grateful to her for helping me that night. After all that went down, I heard from the caretaker that the orphanage was running low on funds. If Annie wasn't able to pay the taxes on the next due date, the orphanage would've been shut down and we would have no place for a home. So I left. I grabbed that same sword I have today and became a mercenary. Though these days, not many clients hired mercenaries and would rather hire the services of Huntsmen and Huntresses...here we are now.

Yang: Owain, I had no idea--

Owain: It's fine. That story...it's something I usually don't sure. Same with Y/N. (looks to Weiss) I can understand your hate for the White Fang, but that doesn't mean you should direct it to the faunus as a whole. Yes, I don't stand by the actions for the White Fang, but you have to know, they didn't want to do this. You should understand both sides of the story before making such judgements, Weiss.

The Schnee girl only stayed silent and looked down. Owain sighs and says his goodbyes, heading out the room and begins heading to his own dorm. Taking out his scroll, he goes to Y/N's contact ID and begins to call him. But the call isn't answered and goes straight to voicemail. Owain sighs once more as he stares at his scroll.

Owain: Where are you, Y/N?

With Y/N

Y/N walked the courtyard of Beacon Academy, it being illuminated by the several lampposts around the area. As Y/N made it towards the central square of the area, he found the black-haired girl lifting a hand to the top of her head.

Blake then removes her bow as it reveals her faunus features. She was a cat faunus. Y/N's eyes lit up for a moment before they relaxed. Oddly enough, the cat ears suited her.

Y/N: Cat ears, huh? Heh, they look good on you. Way too good.

Blake was alarmed by the sudden voice, turning around to see Y/N leaning up against a nearby lamppost.

Blake: Y/N?

Y/N: Yes, I am Y/N.

Blake: What are you doing here?

Y/N: Oh, you know, ran out of the room due to your argument with Weiss, and yada yada. Being the concerned friend I am, I decided to ask what's wrong. But, judging from the argument back in the room, I sorta get the general gist. By the way, have I ever mentioned how great those cat ears are? Like, you look great without the bow on your head.

Blake: (glares) Not the time, Y/N.

???: He's right, you know. You do look better without the bow.

The two faunus' attention was brought towards above them. On top of a lamppost was the same monkey they saw today.

Y/N: ...Who are you?

Monkey Faunus: Me? Oh! I'm Sun Wukong.

Timeskip

It was any other day in Vale, the three faunus sitting on top a roof patio, drinking tea. Blake's face was quite content, drinking her tea normally, with the monkey faunus, Sun, lifting his tea cup with his tail. Y/N on the other hand was a bit annoyed. Although, he wasn't sure why.

After sipping her tea, she sets her tea cup down with a sigh, looking up at the two, who were looking at her curiously.

Blake: So, you want to learn more about me?

Sun: Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days, and you've been giving us nothing but small talks and weird looks.

Receiving that as her answer, Blake only narrows her eyes and glares at them.

Y/N: Yeah, like that.

Blake: (rolls eyes) Sun, Y/N, are you two familiar with the White Fang?

Sun: Of course! I don't think there's a faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them. Stupid, holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get whatever they want. Bunch of freaks if you ask me.

Y/N: I wouldn't say they're freaks. But, I do owe one of them my life for saving me back in the past. Had they not did that, I wouldn't have escaped that hell hole.

Blake gave a small nod and smile in Y/N's direction before she took another sip out of cup, setting it down as she let's out a small sigh.

Blake: I was once a member of the White Fang.

Sun: (spits out drink and coughs) Wait a minute, you were a member of the White Fang?

Y/N: Judging by you using the word "were," I'd say you aren't with them anymore?

Blake: (nods) That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it. Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between humans and the faunus. Of course, despite being promised equality, the faunus suffered discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there, at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. And I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist. Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking. Suddenly, our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us. Hijacking cargo from companies that uses faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals, but not out of respect... out of fear.

After finishing her whole life story, essentially, Y/N and Sun were only looking at her with hints of shock and disbelief, as well as concern. Blake once again sets her cup down after taking a sip.

Blake: So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence. Instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am, a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow.

She gestured upwards, her black bow on top of her head twitching due to her cat ears that lied underneath.

Sun: So...have you told your friends any of this?

The cat faunus only closed her eyes and looked down slightly. They got the memo, Y/N bowing his head slightly as he let out a small sigh.

Once finishing their refreshments, the three faunus were now set out on the streets of Vale.

Sun: So, what's the plan now?

Blake: (sigh) I still don't think the White Fang is behind these robberies. They've never needed that much Dust before.

Sun: But what if they did?

Y/N: If they did, what the hell kinda plan would they have that would require that much Dust? Got a lead or something, monkey boy?

Sun: It's Sun. And the only way to prove that they didn't do it, is to go to the place where they would most likely go to if they were to do it and not find them there...right?

Blake: The only thing is, I have no idea where that would be.

Y/N: I may have an idea...

 Blake: Where?

Y/N: I may have done some snooping around down by the docks. By which I mean by looking at the shipping manifests and the schedules of which boats were coming in. And as luck would have it, it's said there would be a Schnee Dust Company freighter coming in tonight.

Sun: Hey, that's what I heard some guys were talking about when I was on a ship coming here!

Y/N: From what the manifest said, it's a huge freighter.

Blake: How huge?

Sun: Huge. Big Schnee Company freighter.

Blake: And you two are sure?

Y/N: Shipping manifests don't tend to lie. But, it's probably best if we check by heading there. Let's move.

With their plan now set, the three of them began to head down to the docks. All while this is happening, the remnants of Team MOLA and RWBY were searching for their lost teammates. After returning to his room last night, Owain was questioned as to where Y/N was.

In doing so, Owain had told the two of his and Y/N's past. Lilina was quite shocked and disappointed in the Schnee Dust Company, but has she always been impressed with them? No, she never was. Her father, his name being Hector, is an esteemed commander of Atlas, known for his valor and his sheer ferocity, as well as him showing equality among his faunus and human soldiers in his army. Although, during her home life, she has noted how her father would always be arguing with Jacques Schnee every time he was over.

On Lethe's case, she seemed to hate the SDC with a burning passion. But now hearing what happened to one of her teammates in their past due to the SDC themselves, it wasn't a surprise that the rest of her teammates had to restrain her, Lethe wanting to scratch the heiress's face off. Night soon came onto the people of Vale. Blake could be seen atop a roof, staking out the scene of the docks, watching for any suspicious figures and for any activity of the White Fang.

Soon, Sun and Y/N join her, the two carrying apples in their arms.

Sun: Did we miss anything?

Blake: Not really. Off loaded all the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there.

Y/N: Huh...lazy bums.

Sun: Cool. (offers apple) We stole you some food.

Blake: Do you two always break the law without a second thought?

Y/N: Hrmff? (gulps) What? Some habits just can't be broken.

Sun: Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?

The amber-eyed girl only gave Sun an unamused look, glaring at him.

Y/N: (sigh) Too soon, man. Too soon.

A gust of wind was then blown from behind them, Y/N pulling his scarf up to cover his mouth from the dust arising. A bullhead could be seen lowering itself, it's gates opening as it landed on the ground. Coming out from the ramp were members of the White Fang, the symbol of the group on the back, free for the three of them to see.

Blake: Oh no...

Y/N: It's really them.

WF Member: Ok, grab the tow cables!

Sun: You really didn't think they were behind this, did you?

Blake: No, I think deep down I knew, I just didn't want to be right.

???: Hey, what's the hold up?

Another person came out from the bullhead, him having orange hair and a bowler hat. The White Fang looked to the criminal mastermind, Roman Torchwick, as he walked down the bullhead's ramp.

Roman: We're not exactly the most inconspicuous thieves at the moment, sooo, why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?

Blake: This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a human. Especially not one like that.

Y/N: Hang on, let's do anything hasty--

The cat faunus stood up and took out her katana off her back, Gambol Shroud. Blake then leapt off the building despite Sun's and Y/N's warnings. She carefully sneaked her way there, going through the cover of the shadows and avoiding the light coming off from the moon. Peaking her head out from the side of a metal container, she spotted Roman talking to one of the White Fang members.

Roman: No, you idiot! This isn't a leash. What the--!?

The orange-haired criminal was cut off, Blake putting Gambol Shroud's blade right up to his neck. She then undoes her bow off her head, revealing her cat ears to the White Fang.

Roman: Oh for--

Blake: Nobody move!

In response, the White Fang members draw their weapons. Some of them readied their rifles while some unsheathed their blades, pointing it at the black-haired girl.

Roman: Whoa! Take it easy there, little lady.

Blake: Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding this scum?

Roman: Heh, oh kid. Didn't you get the memo?

Blake: What are you talking about?

Roman: (grin) The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business adventure.

Blake: Tell me what it is, or I'll put an end to your little operation.

Before she could continue her threat, she was cut off due to the sound of another bullhead above them. Roman glanced upwards, his grin widening.

Roman: I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation.

Two bullheads were flying overhead. While Blake was distracted by the two flying machines above, Roman began to aim the end of his cane at Blake's feet. He pulled it's trigger, the end of his cane firing a bullet and exploding, causing Blake to be sent flying. Before she could hit the ground, a wormhole had appeared under her, Y/N jumping out of it and grabbing her, landing on the ground and setting her down next to him.

Y/N: You okay?

Blake: Yeah, thanks for that.

Y/N: Watch out!

The white-haired fox faunus pushes Blake out of the way, the fox faunus taking out his katana and blocking the bullet with it's blade. However, the round explodes, Y/N being sent backwards as he crashes into a metal container, his aura absorbing the damage as his body flickered a dark grey. He groaned in slight pain, rubbing the back of his head and stretching a bit before he cracked his neck as a few White Fang members began to surround him.

With Blake, Roman had scowled as he fired another two shots, the first missing the amber-eyed girl due to Y/N's intervention. She dodges the gunfire, doing two backward handstands, dodging a fourth shot from Roman by creating a clone with her semblance, dashing backwards. She then rushes down to her left, going behind some metal containers as Roman narrows his eyes, walking down the area Blake went.

Roman: Here, kitty kitty kitty...

A banana peel was then dropped onto his hat, him removing it as he growled in annoyance, looking up. Coming from above was Sun, his feet landing on Roman's face as he rolls onto the ground and jumps out of hit, landing on both his feet.

Sun: Leave her alone.

As the monkey faunus glared at the orange-haired criminal, the doors to the two bullheads above opened. More members of the White Fang drop down, surrounding the monkey faunus as they raise their weapons at him.

Roman: You are not the brightest banana in the bunch, are you, kid?

Before they could advance on him, two members of the White Fang come flying in, knocking a few of the reinforcements down. Joining Sun was Y/N, him cracking his knuckles as he unsheathes his katana. The two faunus look to each other and grin, rushing in.

One of them fires his rifle, Y/N grinning as he spins his katana in circle, deflecting the bullets that were coming his way. As soon as he drew close enough, he dragged his katana upwards, slicing the gun in half and grabbing the hood of the White Fang member, bringing it down as he rose his knee up, kneeing him in the face. Y/N then does a cheat gainer, dodging a few sword slashes as he parries them with his own blade, exchanging the Dust cartridge in the handle of his blade with a cartridge filled with lightning Dust. Kicking the White Fang member that was locked in a duel with him, he then drags his katana across the ground, a wave of electricity leaving his blade as it makes in contact with the other faunus, stunning him as he falls to the ground.

Roman groaned in annoyance, his men being defeated effortlessly by two students. He raised his cane up, firing a shot at Sun as the monkey faunus had just finished taking out the White Fang members that were surrounding him. Sun takes his bo staff, spinning it as he blocks Roman's shot, Blake landing in front of the monkey faunus.

Blake: He's mine!

She then rushes forward, engaged in a clash with the orange-haired criminal. Despite Blake's speed and precision with her strikes, Roman was able to keep up with her, Blake even dashing around with her semblance. Their clash would soon come to an end, Roman able to land a punch to her face as he laughed. Blocking a few more of her strikes, he was able to jab her with his cane, knocking her to the ground, now Sun joining in on the fray.

Now the monkey faunus and Roman were locked into a clash themselves, Sun disconnecting his bo staff and turning them into nunchucks, him firing a round from them as Roman blocks it with his cane. As Sun kept twisting them around his body, firing shotgun rounds as he goes, they were all blocked by Roman. However, this created an opening for the other two faunus, Blake coming in with a slash and Y/N rocketing in with a kick, his foot firmly landing in Roman's balls.

Roman skids across the concrete, clutching his lower region as he does so. He got up, anger evident in his eyes. He then aims his cane upwards towards a crane, shooting out the metal cables that held a metal container up. With the container now falling, the three faunus dodging out of the way, Y/N getting out of the hairy situation with style. Creating a wormhole under himself, he enters it and appears under Roman, upper cutting his face and then doing a spinning kick in his stomach, sending him back once more. Just as Roman got up, he heard a voice.

???: Hey!

Sun, Blake, Y/N, and Roman look towards the voice, seeing Ruby Rose standing atop on a roof. Taking her scythe, she twirls it for a bit before she slams it's tip at her side. Roman's attention was now solely on Ruby, losing interest in the other three faunus.

Roman: Oh hello, Red! Isn't it past your bedtime?

Penny could then be seen walking up to Ruby from behind.

Penny: Ruby, are these people your friends?

Ruby: Penny, get back!

Without any hesitation, Roman quickly fired a round at the silver-eyed girl, the round exploding as the cookie lover was sent flying. Roman chuckled with glee as Penny's pale green eyes were now focused on him, glaring with anger. She then begins to march towards him, preparing to jump off the building.

Ruby: Penny, wait! Stop!

Penny: Don't worry, Ruby. I'm combat ready!

From her backpack, several swords begin to fly out of it. Penny then leapt off of the building, a crater forming under her. Once landing, she began to take down some of the White Fang's forces, her swords flying around. Sun, Blake, and Y/N high tail it out of there, three more bullheads on the way. They began to fire upon the orange-haired girl, Penny controlling her blades as they circled in front of her, deflecting the bullets away.

More swords appear out from her backpack, being launched far enough into the building behind her. She was then reeled backwards, Penny having her swords formulate in front of her as they began to spin in a circle, an orb of green energy forming. Thrusting her arms forward, a blast of green energy was launched, destroying two bullheads as they were cut in half, the debris of the machines flying overhead as they landed into the water of the port. Thrusting the remainder of her swords into the third bullhead, it latched to the Schnee Dust Company container, Penny tries to bring it down to the ground. Seeing his plan fail, Roman runs back to the bullhead he had came off of from the first place, the bullhead carrying the Dust container being crashed into another set of metal containers. Roman looked back to the chaos one more time as he made his way on.

Roman: These kids just keep getting weirder.

Closing the bullhead's doors, it flies off. Minutes after the fight, the Vale Police had arrived onto the scene. Penny, Sun, Blake, Y/N, and Ruby could be seen sitting on some crates, them turning their heads as the remaining members of MOLA and RWBY could be seen walking up to them.

Ruby: (gets off crate) Look Weiss, it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing. You see, she actually doesn't wear a bow, she has kitty ears and they're actually pretty cute.

However, Weiss ignored her and kept walking on. Blake looked nervous as she got off the crate and walked up to Weiss.

Blake: Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was with--

Weiss: Stop. Do you have any idea how long we've been looking for you? ...Twelve hours. That means I had twelve hours to think about this. And in those twelve hours, I've decided... I don't care.

Blake: (surprised) You don't care?

Weiss: You said you're not one of them anymore, right?

Blake: No, I haven't been since I was younger--

Weiss: Up-up-up-up! I don't wanna hear it. All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up, you come to your teammates. And not some... (looks to Sun) ...someone else.

Blake looks at her shocked, turning to the rest of her teammates. Yang and Ruby only nodded and smiled at her. Blake wipes her tears and nods at Weiss.

Blake: Of course.

Ruby: ...Yeah! Team RWBY is back together!

Happy with her response, Weiss then turns to Y/N, only kept a small, stern glare at the Schnee Heiress.

Weiss: And Y/N, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I didn't hear both sides to the story and should've recognized what the faunus were going through. Hearing your story...it made me realize that.

Y/N turns around sighs, Weiss having her head down with a sad look. However, Y/N's words surprised her.

Y/N: ...Forgiveness is hard to come by these days. I still haven't forgiven the bastard that is my so-called "father." And I still haven't forgiven your family, no, your father for what he's done. I will admit, my anger towards you is a bit...out of line. Considering it isn't you who did this. But, if we want to be friends...it's a start from what you've said. Just try to be less bitchy, okay?

Weiss: Of course.

Y/N: Good.

Just as the white-haired faunus begins to walk away, his hands in his pocket, the back of his shirt was grabbed. He turned his head around slightly as he gained a fearful look, some sort of dark aura emanating off of Lilina.

Lilina: Now then...Y/N?~

Y/N: Uh...yes, boss...?

Lilina: We have a lot to talk about, don't we?~

Y/N: Uh, Owain? Little help here, buddy?

Owain: You're on your own here. You're the one who messed up.

Y/N: Asshole!

Lilina: (begins to drag Y/N away) Let's talk behind this container. Where we'll get all the time and privacy in the world.~

Y/N: No! Please, Oum no! Save me from this sadistic woman! Help me!

As Y/N's screams of terror echoed throughout the night, the scene pans out as it revealed someone to be watching the scene from live camera footage. On his tablet, Ozpin clicks the message icon as it pulls up a contact. The ID read "Qrow," with the message saying, "Queen has pawns."

Ozpin lets out a small hum as his vision was then cast out towards the night sky. Elsewhere, Qrow had finished sending his message, taking a small swig from his flask as he goes into his shirt pocket, pulling out a photo. It was him when he was much younger, him standing with a young woman of silver-white hair and golden-yellow eyes. Both of them had smiles on their faces as the young woman had her arms wrapped around Qrow's neck.

Qrow: (sigh) I do miss you...Micaiah.

???: Dad! Isn't it time we had back to Beacon to report back to Headmaster Ozpin?

Qrow: H-Huh? O-Oh, yeah! Hang on a sec, kiddo! I was just...I was just reminiscing some fond memories...that's all.

---

And that is the end to Vol. 1 of RWBY! I do hope you enjoyed it and I do apologize for how long it took to get this far. As you know, my motivation for writing RWBY chapters is not as it used to be, but hey, I was able to get this down and made it longer than usual.

And who is that mysterious person that called Qrow "dad"? Hmm...well, some months back, a follower of mine had allowed me to use any OC from his book to include in my RWBY story. So I want to give a big thank you to GeraldKetsueki for allowing me to use one of his OCs. However, I will not reveal who she is until Vol. 3, so if you want to figure out who it is, check out his profile and the book called, My ideas OC for RWBY.

Anyway, that's it for Vol. 1 and I hope to start Vol. 2 soon. So until the next chapter, my fellow readers! Until then.
