I smile toward the sun, my glasses reflecting the wonderful heat. I dare not to move as I feel so relaxed in paradise, something that has only happened once with our family's finances.

I sip some sort of fruity juice from a coconut gladly as a maid-like woman approaches with some hors d'oeuvre. I try a little of everything as the savory and sweet tastes combine in harmony, making me drool while eating them.

I continue laying out as I take in my surroundings; A somewhat crowded beach with very clear water and powdery sand.

I look down to see what I am wearing, to be startled completely. I am wearing a bathing suit, no doubt, but a young child, no older than twelve months, is laying on my chest. I look around to see if anyone is missing it as I cradle it, its body heat radiating off of it.

"Aww, you look so cute," I chuckle, about to say 'baby', except that isn't what comes out. "Zander."

I find myself wide mouth, realizing that this is a child I know, probably my child. I ignore my thoughts as I continue to relax under the umbrella, keeping the baby unharmed. I hear children playing around the beach, laughing and screaming in clusters.

I hear footsteps coming nearer as I continue resting my eyes.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" I listen to near me, only to find two toddlers next to me. One, that is definitely a girl, has light blue hair and pastel green eyes, while the other, a boy, has a blueish silver hair color with ocean blue eyes.

I stare at them, wondering who these kids are, until it hits me. These are my kids.

"Oh, Katrina and Kaleb!" I laugh, surprised by my own words. "How are your new friends, huh?"

"They are really fun!!!" The girl speaks, jumping up and down in front of me. "We both came for something to drink."

"Oh well, we will have to wait for daddy to come back with something yummy for you guys... I wonder what is taking him so long!" I scoff, looking at my own drink cup at some empty juice.

The children begin giggling and grinning as I feel a couple of hands wrap around my eyes. 

"Guess who!" A male's voice says in a sing-song tone.

"Hmmm..." I think, trying to understand the whole situation still. I decide to take my usual sarcastic route. "Can't think of anyone of the top of my head...."

The hands get uncovered as the man from a few nights ago stands before we, his swim trunks a bright green color. He grabs the baby, supposedly Zander, from my grasp and kisses his forehead.

"Daddy! Daddy!" The twins yell, crawling on top of him. I try to run away put my body stays planted, as I smirk toward the man.

"Heeeeey Katelyn." he winks, making me laugh a little somehow. He leans in to kiss me as all I want to do is leave, as I fiddle with the ring on my finger. Hold up... Ring?

I begin yelling, for real this time as I blink, finding myself in the dimmed apartment. I am sweating buckets in bed, my hair pulled back into a messy ponytail. The covers are curled up around me, giving me tons of warmth.

I push them off in an instant, staring into the ceiling at my dream future. Why is he there? We barely even talked... I don't even know the dude!

I keep replaying the dream as I control my breathing, thinking if that might be my possible future, or just a terrible nightmare that might haunt me forever.
