Chapter 1 - Katelyn's POV
After we all logged out, I pushed my chair away from the computer and sighed. Honestly, I never thought I'd make friends online. I barely had any friends in real life, besides my brothers. Over the years, I had learned not to trust anybody after what our previous foster father did to Kenneth, one of my younger brothers out of five.
As I got off the chair, I pushed it back towards the desk. I lied down on my bed, and once again sighed. I didn't really know what to do. It was 2:00am, and I couldn't go to sleep. I had work at 6am tomorrow, I needed as much sleep as possible. Really, ever since I graduated college, things have been more hectic than it already is.
Really, I never have trusted anyone besides my brothers. Ever since we found out our parents died in a car crash, and the whole foster father thing, we always stuck together. But ever since then, I've always had trust issues.
As I lay there in bed, my eyes start to close slowly, and I don't even try to stay awake. And suddenly, I drift off into sleep.

I start my day, to my alarm clock going off. I jump off the bed, and turn it off. It was 5am right now, I had to wake up early due to the distance between here and the school I was working in. I worked a lot of jobs, but this job pays a lot more. I worked as assistant coach for the volleyball team in my old high school, Phoenix Drop High.
I kind of miss a lot of people from my school. We didn't really stay in touch considering how much work I had when I started college. I wonder where they are now? But I know I'll never know. They're probably off somewhere, maybe outside the country even.
After I took a shower, I put on a red sweater, black skinny jeans, and black converse. Then, I got a medium-sized gym bag and then I put my uniform there so I can change later on in the day. I put my whistle, attendance book, and the other things I need for the job.
I put it on my shoulder and went out my room. I put my bag on the counter and opened the fridge. I began by setting out an array of food for my brothers still asleep upstairs including Poptarts, cereal, energy bars and other sweets.
I grabbed a granola bar and orange juice for myself, closing the fridge in the process. I picked my bag back up again and and opened the granola bar. I picked up the juice and headed for the front door. I then started to eat my granola bar.
I opened it, and locked it once I was outside. I walked through the hallways until I reached the elevator. I pressed the down button and slowly it opened. I stepped inside the empty elevator and pushed the Ground Floor button. Then it started to close, and I tapped my foot to the elevator music.
Once it opened, I stepped out and I finished my granola bar. I crumpled the wrapper and threw it in the trash can placed outside the building. I got my orange juice, opened it, and started to drink it while slowly walking to the train station.
As I sipped my juice, I looked around the empty streets of Phoenix Drop. For any other person, this would be a very rare occurrence. It was usually filled with people but for me, this was normal. It wasn't strange at all, I woke up at 5am almost everyday.
Once I reached the train station, I paid for my ticket and stepped in. I found an empty seat near the back and I sat down. I plugged in my earphones and it played Warrior by Beth Crowley. I put my bag down at my feet and I leaned back into the chair while tapping my fingers on the armrest.
"Teach me how to fight, I'll show you how to win," I hummed along to the lyrics of the chorus. "You're my mortal flaw, and I'm your fatal sin,"
Wonder how I did everything so chill, and calm? Well, this was pretty much my everyday schedule.
