Nico's PoV:

I can't believe I'm doing this, Nico thought. He really didn't like the campfire sing along but the Aphrodite kids had convinced him to come to just one, just this once. They said he wouldn't have to come to any other if he didn't like it this one, but he has a feeling they would keep making him come to more.

They started singing but Nico didn't join in. Singing wasn't exactly the son of Hades's forte.

Nico stared into the gray fire as everyone around him laughed and sang their hearts out. They all had friend, they almost all had their soulmate, and they were all happy. They were all completely different from Nico, which set him apart from them. He was in a different world than them, and none of them felt the need to bring him back. Anyway, being so different also made him sure that his soulmate wasn't here. Which meant he'd be seeing things in black and white for a long time.

Honestly, though, he didn't want to start seeing in color. It meant he had touched his soulmate, and he was terrified that his soulmate wouldn't be a guy. Or worse, the guy was straight and would get super mad that his soulmate wasn't a girl and he'd take his anger out on Nico.

He shook his head to rid his mind of these thoughts. It didn't matter. None of the people around him were his soulmate anyway. Or at least he didn't think so.

Piper who was sitting next to him, stopped singing. She gave Nico a worried look. "Are you okay, Neeks?"

"I'm fine." Nico grumbled.

"Are you sure? You look kind of sick."

He was starting to get a headache from all the loud singing and felt like throwing up because of his earlier thoughts about his soulmate. He sighed. "I'll be okay. I think."
This was going to be a long night.
