Nico's PoV:

It was in the middle of the night that I heard the shouting. It was something about Percy and it didn't sound good. I jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed. Then I ran outside to find a bunch of other people doing the same. I wondered what happened as I ran into the infirmary.

Inside, everything was even more chaotic E than outside. There were people rushing around and none of them seemed to know what to do. Will was ordering people to go retrieve things and help him try to help Percy. I couldn't quite tell what had happened to him, but I was sure it couldn't be good. I pushed my was to the front of the crowd and found that Percy was way too pale...no. Pale wasn't the right word. He was more translucent than pale. And there were shadows that were snaking around his body.

My eyes widened as I realized what had happened. The venom must've somehow started sucking him into the shadows. Schist, I thought, I'm gonna have to try and save him, and if I can't... I shook my head and took a couple more steps forward, now standing next to Will.

"Nico, I need you to go get s-"

"He's being taken into the shadows. I need to bring him out before he gets stuck in there."

"Nico. You can't just-" he protested.

"I have to, Will. He's one of our best fighters."

"And so are you. What if you both get lost in there?" Here Will's expression became saddened and worried.

"Then I'll just have to find a way to bring us back, won't I?" (DO NOT SASS YOUR BOIFRIEn)

"Nico, that's a terrible plan." (OKAY SLAY ME WILL)

"Well so far, your plan of trying to heal him using everything else you can find doesn't seem to be working."

"I'm doing my best."

"It's not going to work, Will. This can only be solved by bringing him out of the shadows."

"But he..."

I put a hand on his shoulder. "It's alright, Will. I'll be okay."

He wouldn't look at me. "Fine. But just...just be careful." (STAY ALLLLIIIIIIVVVEEE [where is my son?!])

I smiled. "I will be."

I looked around the room and found that the door had a shadow on it. I stepped into it and was immediately consumed by darkness. I blinked and opened my eyes.  I heard a groan somewhere to my left so I headed that direction.

  When I spotted Percy(which was very hard to do in the dark) I grabbed his wrist and attempted to go back to the infirmary. Unfortunately, I didn't move. Something was keeping me stuck there, and I wouldn't be able to go back until I figured it out.

  Great. Just great.
