Hiccups POV

"Well done Hiccup! You get to kill the dragon!" Gobber yelled happily whilst Fishlegs lifted me up onto his shoulders, I smiled weakly as I looked around at the vikings cheering and yelling happily. I looked over to my father, the chief. I heard him yell "That's my boy!" and I felt sad and angry. Fishlegs placed me firmly on the ground before congratulating me one more time before he and the gang walked away. 

I looked behind me to see Astrid glaring at me with such hatred I shrunk back for a split second. I hesitantly walked up to her, "Well done out there, Astrid." I said before holding my hand out for her to shake. She glared at my hand before slapping it away like it had personally offended her, I let my arm fall back to my side before she spoke. "You know, Hiccup. I don't know what you're up to, frankly I don't particularly care. But y'know cheating in Dragon training will get you into aaalllooottt of trouble." She growled before walking past me and roughly hitting my shoulder on the way. I scowled before turning around and slowly walking out of the dragon arena. 

I slowly walked towards my house, while going past the great hall I noticed cheering and yelling emitting from it. I sighed before continuing to my house I cautiously walked through the door making sure my father wasn't in the sitting area before running up the stairs and grabbing one of my bags and stuffing clothes, two blankets and a thin pillow, and any drawings of Toothless and I and the blueprints for his tail fin before running down stairs and throwing raw fish into a separate bag before bolting towards the forge, I quickly ran into my personal area and grabbing my tool set, a lot of leather and some scrap metal. I quietly walk towards the entrance of the forge and make sure no villagers will notice me. Once I was sure there was nobody I bolted to the forest and ran through the trees dodging logs and branches, in around 10 minutes I made it to the cove out of breath and cautiously calling out for Toothless. 

Toothless soon came out of a small cave located in the corner of the cove, he ran over to me and gave me his infamous gummy smile. I smiled back "Okay Toothless, we're leaving Berk, I don't feel like I belong here and I don't want to risk someone finding you whilst I'm not here." I said stroking his head, he purred a little before nodding. I attached the two bags on his saddle making sure they were secure and made sure his tail fin was alright for long distance flying before mounting him I looked around the cove one last time before Toothless took off into the starry night sky. 

*A few hours later of flying.*

Toothless and I had been flying for a couple hours now and I could tell he was getting tired so I hurriedly looked at my surroundings and noticed a island not far from where we were flying to the left of us. I gently steered him towards the island saying, "C'mon bud, that can be our home for a while." I rubbed the back of his head before gently ushering him on. 

In about half an hour we made it to our destination and Toothless landed gracefully. I slowly dismounted Toothless looking around us for any trouble or things that may want to harm us but I soon noticed Toothless and I were either alone or there were other dragons on the island. I looked around and noticed a cave near the land, it looked about 15 minutes away so I got Toothless' attention before steering him in the correct way. We soon made it to the cave and walked in, Toothless walked over to the corner before laying down heavily. I smiled softly before taking the bags of his saddle and placing them near his head before laying down next to him, Toothless seemed to purr in his sleep before covering me with his wing, I smiled happily before cuddling into his scaly body.
