"Who do you think you are? Forcing me to desert Kuristina?" I try to cover up my really scared self with being funny. This me, this me who's staring at me is just damn creepy. Why does he have a black coat? And Reading Steiner.....
"I didn't force you do to anything Oka", he speaks.
"Yes you sure did, I didn't have a choice in that situation!" I wave my arms about. This guy has definitely something to do with SERN, no question about it. I have to ask, it's the only way.
"You're with SERN aren't you?" He looks downwards not wanting to answer.
"I've always wanted to be like you". he says. His coat flutters down and becomes deflated. It covers his body like a sheet now, lifeless. "You were always the good one", he emphasises the 'always'. I listen to him with hesitancy.

"Who are you?", I ask again. He looks at my hands longingly. Ummmmmm.
"I'm you", he stops mid sentence. "The Rin part", he lowers his head. "You're Oka".
"Then... where's the Be?!", I exclaim with my hands near my face. He laughs and his coat bubbles up with him.
"I don't know if there is a Be, but Oka, we are twins, and the Reading Steiner is us sharing thoughts. I have thoughts of changing the world so that I'm satisfied, and that's how we are connected. You have to take my side so those thoughts can become reality", he stops his staring into space and looks at me. "Join SERN".

So the Reading Steiner.... it was not there to save me, it was to warn me, of this me. Not of this me, but it somehow brought me to a place deep secret, where the bad trickles of lines spread out to the real world. This is not a world. It is a fake mirror image of the world. A memory of the texts of John Titor crosses my mind.

You are the saviour of this world.

I am that key to change what this me believes and Rin has to open up.

I walk up to him and pat his shoulder. His coat turns grey, mine clouds to become grey too.
"Oka, what are you doing? So does this mean you'll join SERN? I'm prouuuuud of you" He claps his skinny hands together and and does an internal YES! But I know better. I embrace him in a hug and I feel tears starting to trickle down my face.

Kurisu, now left floating alone in the middle of the foyer with Moeka ordering the named "Okas" and "Rins" to wherever they are supposed to be, comes up with an idea. She had realised that things started to happen whenever Moeka taps that phone of hers. The lights had brightened when Moeka had looked down and tapped away at something. The curtains had closed once she had done a similar thing, although she tapped her foot this time. Kurisu isn't frozen anymore and as silently as she can, floats up to Moeka and whips the phone out of her hands. Because Moeka is blind to see Kurisu and was unprepared, her mouth dropped open in shock. She looked to the right and left then down, her eyes are deceiving her.

Kurisu, now with the device now in hand, tries to locate where Okabe is hiding. Kurisu has to save him from that..... cape-freak. Moeka's phone is so rigid on the outside, blocky with rectangular edges and a purple strip of plastic across the top. Weird thing, Kurisu notices, there's no camera for the front. But on the phone there's so many different apps and messaging services that Kurisu can't comprehend what she does on a daily basis. Soon, after flicking through various buttons she discovers one app that has BASE written over it diagonally in big blue letters. This must be where Okabe is. She taps onto it and her body feels like it's being crushed but a moment later finds herself in a room behind a long chair. The room feels dim, similar to the foyer.

"Rin...." Okabe is here! Kurisu's pulse starts to elevate. But that means.
"Oka.... why are you......? You have to join SERN, we can rule the world together!" Some ruffling. "Don't you want that? And escape the friends I watch you try to save all the time?"
"A part of me does want that". Kurisu covers her mouth with her hand. She closes her eyes and tries to keep her body calm.
"But someone once told me that creating darkness only ends in darkness", Kurisu can hear Okabe. That's Okabe. The other is Okabe, but not.
"But darkness is for our benefit! You won't have to save anyone and it will just be us!". His voice wavers a little when he says that last part. "Oka, you don't have to be with her anymore".
"Who are you talking about......?", Kurisu can tell that Okabe is becoming defensive. His voice lowered a tone, he wouldn't normally do that.
"The smarty smart science girl you think about all the time, I mean honestly, can't you tell that without her, nothing would of happened? The phone wave for one thing and moving through time. Can't you see that it was her who helped you create all of your problems?"
