Percy POV

"I need another Red Bull." Tony said.

"We're out." I told him.

"Monster?"

"Gone."

"Rockstar? Mountain Dew? Energy shots?" Tony asked frantically, turning to look at me. His hair was sticking up at all angles and he looked like a madman.

I held out my hands in a gesture of surrender. "They're all gone. You've been working for four days, Tony, you're running on caffeine."

"I need more! I'm not done yet!"

I looked at his computer screens. "You're really searching everywhere, aren't you?"

Tony nodded. "I'll do everything short of wiping people's minds, though if I can get to Fury, he might let me do that."

"Don't do that." I told him. "I'll go get you more caffeine, you should go rest for a little while, drink a large glass of water. You could give yourself caffeine poisoning if you aren't careful."

"You sound like Sally." Tony grunted.

"Good, maybe that will make you listen." I left the room. "J, where's Tasha?"

"Ms. Romanoff is in her room."

I took the elevator up two flights and walked down the hallway, stopping at my room to grab a hoodie.

"Tash, you in here?" I knocked on the redhead assassin's bedroom door, which I assumed was locked.

"What do you want?" She called from inside.

"Tony wants me to do a grocery run, I need some help."

She opened the door and raised an eyebrow at me. "You think that's a good idea?"

"If you help me, yeah." I shrugged. "You're the disguise genius."

Natasha was quiet for a moment. "Alright, come in."

I followed her into the room and she pointed at her bed. "Sit."

She rummaged in her closet for a few seconds before pulling out a box.

"What are we going for here?"

"Fire survivor. Burns on the left cheek." I tapped my face. "Brown hair."

She threw me a wig cap and a wig. "Put it on."

I did and she came over with the box. "Now sit still."

I did as I was told, and watched in the mirror on the wall in front of me as I slowly gained huge scars on my face.

"Put this in." Natasha handed me a contact lens.

"What is this for?" I asked.

"Your scar goes over your eye, therefore your eye would be milky. That's what the contact lense does. You'll be able to see through it, don't worry."

I groaned. "Alright."

"Yeah yeah, you don't like contact lenses. You asked me to help you disguise your face." She reminded me.

"Right." I walked up to the mirror and put the contact lens in  my eye.

"Turn around." Natasha told me.

I faced her and she held up a small brush, running it in random patterns over the scar makeup. I felt my skin tighten up wherever the little brush went.

Checking the mirror again, I saw that my scar was puckered now. Natasha had run the makeup down my neck as well, until it hit my shirt.

"Put the hoodie on, don't pull the hood up." Natasha told me.

"Don't pull it up?" As soon as I asked the question, the answer presented itself to me. "Covering the face makes someone to seem more suspicious."

"Exactly. Your mom probably has a list of groceries for you to get." She told me.

"Yeah, I'll go ask her."

--------------------------------

As it turned out, Mom did have a list, and a debit card for me to use so I wouldn't give myself away. She told me the pin and the name I could use and sent me on my way with minimum freaking out at my face.

I slipped out the back door of Stark Tower and walked along the alleyways for a while before slipping into the pedestrians on the sidewalk and blending in. I kept my head down more than usual, letting people see my scar so they would leave me alone.

In the supermarket, I lined the entire bottom of the cart with energy drinks. That ought to keep Tony fueled for at least two weeks. After that I got the things my mom needed and grabbed a bag of caramel candies.

At the checkout, the cashier avoided looking at me as she slid the items past her scanner.

"That's a lot of caffeine." She commented.

"Yep." I replied. If she wanted to know what it was for she'd have to come right out and say it.

"That's $49.30, please."

I handed her the card and she swiped it.

"Sign here." She tapped the screen. I scribbled the name Mom had told me and she nodded as it went through.

"Have a good day."

"And you." I pushed the cart out and groaned as I realized I'd have to take all this back to the house since I didn't bring one of Tony's cars.

"Hey, kid, need a ride?" Someone called. I turned to see a blue Cadillac idling on the curb. To my surprise, I recognized the driver.

"Drop your stuff in the back." He called. The trunk opened, seemingly of its own accord.

I piled my things into the back and opened the passenger seat door.

"How's it going, Percy?" The black haired man behind the wheel asked.

"Hi Dad."

[A/N finally got this going. Just a warning, I'm quickly coming up on exam week....although I might get more updating done then than I usually do. We'll see]
